Happy Halloween

I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween! I like to hand out candy and see the costumes, so I will be home waiting for the doorbell to ring!

Can you see how I made my "bat" from ribbon? I simply tied a small piece of Stampin' Up's 1/2" Scallop Dots ribbon (Basic Black) into a knot and made sure that there were two white dots where the eyes would be. I blacked out the rest of the dots on the "face" with a black Sharpie, and cut the edges of the wings to look bat-like. You like? Leave me a comment.

Card Stock: Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Gray
Designer Series Paper: Frightful Sight
Stamps: Grateful Greetings, Tiny Tags
Ink: Cajun Craze
Markers: Cajun Craze, Basic Black
Accessories: Square Scallop Punch, 1/2" Circle punch, Glitter Brad, Big Shot, Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates, Stampin' Dimensionals

Don't have too much candy/sugar tonight! If you need any Stampin' Up!, I'd be happy to answer your questions, and you can order any time using my Website.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge - Heat Embossing

Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge! This week our Design Team challenges YOU to create using Heat Embossing! This involves stamping and image with VersaMark or a craft ink in color, then pouring on Embossing Powder while the ink is still wet, shaking off the powder and heating with a heat tool. It sounds complicated, but it really is fun!

Here, I hope you can see clearly in this photo that my Itty Bitty flowers are each embossed and finished with a tiny pearl. I also adhered them between my dry embossed diamonds using the Perfect Details Texturz Plates and my Big Shot. They are slightly elevated because I used Mini Glue Dots to pop them up slightly. Simple, but I love how this turned out. What do you think? I love to read your comments.

Supplies for this week's challenge card:

Card Stock Colors: Soft Suede, Pool Party
Stamps: Itty Bitty Shapes
Ink: Craft Whisper White
Embellishments: Basic Pearls
Tools: Big Shot, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, White Embossing Powder
Punches: Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
Adhesives: Snail and Mini Glue Dots

Have a great day!!

Here is what we made at my workshop last night. We had so much fun and I had a great group of ladies who know what they are doing and enjoyed playing with some of our new tools and the Filled With Love promotion items.

My card is an original design that I came up with while playing with the banner from our new Petal Cone Bigz Die. I scored it at 1" and 1.5", then turned it and scored at 1" and 1.5" again. Stamp the sentiment in the middle (some of us used the Stampa-ma-jig for perfect placement) and pop the banner up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Scallop Trim Border punched accent behind the banner is done in Brushed Silver, so there is Glimmer from the red heart and Shimmer from the paper!

For this "sweet" box, we wrapped chocolate nuggets with 1" x 3" pieces of Love Impressions Specialty Designer Series Pack and then decorated it using two of the stamps from Filled With Love. The tag is made by stamping the "LOVE" sentiment in Real Red, then using Stampin' Write markers to color the Feb 14 in Real Red and Basic Black. Cut the "O" out using the 1" punch and you have what looks like those tags that are bordered with silver, but you made your own. You can stamp the "LOVE" in any color and have a border for small stamps. The box and the Basic Black cut out are form the Bigz Matchbox Die, which is new for me and I am LOVING it. Why didn't I get this earlier??

Thanks for visiting. I love your comments, so please leave one below. Have you signed up to receive my posts every day? It's the easy way to see my creations!

Mojo 121

Mojo Monday is too fun to miss! Play along, won't you? This card came together in a snap, thanks to some new designer paper, a piece of leftover embossed paper and some punches.

I began with a Bravo Burgundy base cut long-wise from an 8.5 x 11" piece of cardstock. I cut a slightly smaller piece of one of the prints from the *new* Specialty Designer Paper "Sending Love" every sheet has one side that sparkles! (This side doesn't, though). It is so fun to work with, very high quality. I used a sentiment from God's Blessings to stamp in Chocolate Chip onto Whisper White corner-rounded piece of cardstock and placed it under my textured harlequin strip. I used the 1" and 1-1/4" punches under the Happy Birthday and candles from So Many Scallops. In between those circles I placed half of a Snow Blossom punched Pretty in Pink "crown." This is for a birthday queen I know! I duplicated the half-circle and "crown again at the bottom of the Whisper White sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my creation. Please leave your comments, I love them all.

Teal Joy

I had so much fun combining colors on this card. It began with some scraps sitting on my desk!
The ornament from Delightful Decorations was already stamped, punched and adorned with the silver cord and punched Melon Mambo swirls. The Barely Banana piece of Eyelet Punched card stock was also sitting there. I added a piece of Basic Black behind that to make it pop, backed it with a piece of Melon Mambo ran through my Big Shot with the Perfect Details Texturz Plate and topped it with a piece of Taken with Teal (retired) Flirty Ribbon Originals. Card base is Taken with Teal. I'm taken with this bright holiday card!

I love to read your comments, so don't go away without leaving one!

Shopping List:
Card Stock: Taken with Teal, Melon Mambo, Barely Banana, Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamps: Delightful Decorations

Mojo Monday

Good morning! Once again, I was lucky enough to get my Mojo going early! My card base is Kraft with a Really Rust background that is wrapped in Chocolate Chip Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. The next panel was a leftover piece of Very Vanilla that is embossed using a Chocolate Chip "wiped" Harlequin Texturz Plate. I love the feel of this paper after the ink has dried! It makes the impressions deeper, I think. That panel is wrapped with a piece of twill. The last layer is a Brushed Copper piece of cardstock that frames the Very Vanilla with the Chocolate Chip sentiment and decorative leaf images. To one side, completing the sketch is one more Chocolate Chip leaf on Very Vanilla, surrounded by a circle of Chocolate Chip cardstock and fisnished with a knot of linen thread.

Please leave a comment, I love reading them all!

PPA15 Color Challenge

PPA 15 is a color challenge. Use Ruby Red, Taken with Teal and Basic Gray in your project. Upload it to our challenge website: Pals Paper Arts and join us playing with stamps and paper!
I enjoyed making this card. It's called a Side Step card and the original design is by Jackie Topa. I got my instructions from Julie Davison's tutorial.

The card base involves one cut of your 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" piece of card stock. There are 5 scores. Then you are ready to "decorate" your card base with stamps, bling, punches, etc. I used the Eastern Blooms set and cut out the small flower images to put onto the first and second rows of my card. I left a little room on the back row under the sentiment so I could write a personal message. Here is what the card looks like from the side:

Your card will fit in a regular size envelope.

I hope you enjoy looking at my creation. I would love to read your comments, so please leave one!

Mojo Monday

I used my new Embosslits Flower Burst for the first time on this Mojo Monday card. I chose to ink up the die before cutting and it came out nicely, I think. I used Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant to produce the color. I like to wipe my ink pads over the plates for embossing so that you can see the swipe marks. I think it looks cool like that!

Don't forget that Pals Paper Arts is giving away Blog Candy this week-- a nice package of Pink goodies for our Pink Challenge, as shown above. You have until 12PM CST Tuesday, tomorrow, to get your PINK entry uploaded and be eligible to win our blog candy! Please remember to use a fresh creation and provide a DIRECT LINK to your project. We would also love to have you put a link to PPA with your posting so that others can join in and play, too.

Pink Week Wrap Up

For the last card in my PINK week to support Breast Cancer Awareness, I chose to pair the pink with other colors in the same family. My card base is Regal Rose and the Damask Texturz Plate impressioned matte is in Ruby Red. The sentiment is cut from a piece of the Jumbo Wheel Friendly Words, as is the flourish. I love putting this together with the Going Gray Full Heart Punch, which I also ran through my Big Shot with the Dotted Swiss Texturz Plate.  I added a generic pink rhinestone for some bling.

Birthday Love

Awhile back I made this birthday card. I had some scraps left over and sitting on my desk and I am finally getting around to using them! Here is another birthday card, decidedly more feminine than the other one. All pieces except the sentiment were already sitting on my desk ready to be used. The sentiment is from two different stamps in the Fundamental Phrases set and I "accidentally" lined them up very close to one another, but I liked how they looked, so I kept them that way! I should have used my Stampa-ma-jig!

I hope you enjoy looking at my paper crafting and I hope you will leave a comment. I enjoy reading each and every one.

If you are in need of any Stampin' Up! supplies to create your greetings or gifts, please use my Demonstrator Website to order 24/7.

Shopping List:
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Stamps: Circle Circus, Fundamental Phrases
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy
Accessories: Big Shot, Texturz Plates, Polka Dot Grossgrain Ribbon, Modern Label Punch

Have a great weekend!

Clean and Simple

Today has to be Clean and Simple because I'm out of town!  I had some scraps on my desk, so I used them.
  • Card base is Naturals Ivory and the inside matte is Ruby Red run through the Big Shot with a Perfect Details Texturz Plate.
  • Sentiment from Small Script is stamped in Real Red onto Summer Sun scrap.
  • White Craft stamped onto Naturals Ivory and punched out with Small Star punch is popped up on a dimensional.
  • Tie small piece of Dress Up Ribbon Originals around the Summer Sun. Adhere to center of card.
Voila! It's that easy. Now this card could be a Christmas time card or just a fun card to send to a friend. You decide.

If there is any way I can help you, please email me. If you know what you wish to order from Stampin' Up! please use my Demonstrator Website and click on SHOP NOW.
