PPA136 Color Challenge

It's time for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. This time we used Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White. This is perfect for a young woman I know who is going into the military.

I "deployed" my Betsy's Blooms Stampin' Wheel and inked it up with Real Red. I didn't have a Real Red ink cartridge, but for stamping just across this card, I rolled it over and over my Real Red ink pad and it worked just fine. If you were  to roll a longer design, you would definitely need an ink cartridge.

My Night of Navy matt is lined using the Lines embossing folder in my Big Shot. On top of that, I layered my blooms, and some circles. On the left I stamped from the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set one of the flower groupings in Night of Navy. I punched it out with a 1" circle and matted it with a 1-1/4" Real Red circle.

The middle circle is one of those same blooms from circle #1, punched with one of the Itty Bitty Shapes punch. It's adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional over the large Real Red stamped bloom. I punched the bloom using a 1-1/4" circle punch and matting with a 1-3/8" circle punch in Night of Navy. Lastly, it's mounted onto a Scallop Circle, punched from Whisper White card stock.

For the sentiment, I stamped a Real Red circle from Circle Circus (one of my FAV sets), then stamped in Night of Navy ink using Fabulous Phrases "Best Wishes." This was then punched out with a 1-3/8" circle punch. All three circles were playfully placed using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you will use our colors for inspiration and make your own card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and upload it to play along with Pals Paper Arts

Happy Cupcake Birthday

A shout out to my sister for her birthday today! This is not her card, I don't usually put those on my blog, but this is for a friend who has the same birthday as my sister! She has a sparkly personality, so I decided her cupcakes should dazzle and I used Dazzling Details on the frosting. The photo does not show how sparkly they are in real life.

I double-matted the cupcakes for some dimension before popping them up using Stampin' Dimensionals. I made my own designer paper by using Whisper White card stock and stamping various Circle Circus images in Rose Red and Real Red ink.

I hope you like this *dazzling* birthday card and you will be inspired to make a card for someone special today! Leave me a comment below--I like to read them all!

Thank You Kindly Set

Happy Monday! I made a FUN set of Thank You cards using the Thank You Kindly Stamp set and these colors which were inspired by the label on a bottle of liquid soap!

Colors: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Lucky Limeade

I used each of the stamps in the set once. For the circles, I stamped with Circle Circus stamp set and then cut out each image using the 3/4", 1" and 1-3/4" circle punches. Then I adhered them in random patterns on my 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" Whisper White squares and ran them through my Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to make this embedded design.

I added some Circle Circus images in three colors on the flap of each envelope, too!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my Thank You Set-Thank YOU! If you should need any Stampin' Up! supplies for your own projects, please use my Website to order!

PPA39 - K.I.S.S.

This week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts is K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Sweetie). Create using a few supplies and not a lot of steps. Those may be more for one person than another, but I invite you to play along! Post your creation using the linking system on the PPA blog. Maybe you will be selected as the Pals Paper Arts Pick this week.

Here I covered my Very Vanilla card stock completely with one of the Sweet Pea Designer Series prints, then used my Scor-Pal to score a criss cross design onto a small square. I matted that with a larger square of Soft Suede.

In the center I placed a Soft Suede Circle Circus stamp that I embellished with a Boho Blossoms-punched Circle Circus image stamped in Rich Razzleberry. I am loving these colors together!
It's your turn to play along!

Circle Point Birthday

Here I go in Circles again! I used my Circle Circus set over last weekend to make some designer papers or strips from scrap pieces of card stock. I had so much fun, I could hardly stop! And, the good news is, you can put a card together very fast if you have your color scheme almost made up (here I only had to add one color to my neutrals of Basic Black, Going Gray and Whisper White) and the "designer paper" is sitting right there on your work space!

For this design, I used two of the circles in Basic Black and Going Gray onto Whisper White. Later when I chose the colors for my card, I accented with one of the stamps from Mark the Date in Pacific Point. It matches the matte on my Going Gray card. I used a scarp of Basic Black and ran it through the crimper for some texture. Then I placed my sentiment from Mark the Date and my cupcake from Crazy for Cupcakes. I colored the cupcake with Pacific Point from a puddle in the lid using my Blender Pen.

I hope you enjoy my creation. Please do leave a comment; I love to read all of them.

And, if you have any Stampin' Up! needs, please use my website to order 24/7.

More Circle Circus

When I made my Mojo card yesterday, I could not stop with this pattern I created using Circle Circus stamps! It is so elegant and I like the color combination I chose! I won't post any more of these cards, but when you stamp a whole sheet of paper with your own "design" you can create more than a few cards in a snap! Just choose different card stock colors to pair with your color combo, and you can create a whole collection. It would make an excellent gift. I think I'll add a sentiment later when I use the card. That would make it a custom card. Also, I wish you could feel this luxurious Basic Black satin ribbon! It is such high quality, soft, yet holds when you tie or knot it!

Thanks for looking, and please leave your comments, I read every one!

Card Stock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla

Birthday Love

Awhile back I made this birthday card. I had some scraps left over and sitting on my desk and I am finally getting around to using them! Here is another birthday card, decidedly more feminine than the other one. All pieces except the sentiment were already sitting on my desk ready to be used. The sentiment is from two different stamps in the Fundamental Phrases set and I "accidentally" lined them up very close to one another, but I liked how they looked, so I kept them that way! I should have used my Stampa-ma-jig!

I hope you enjoy looking at my paper crafting and I hope you will leave a comment. I enjoy reading each and every one.

If you are in need of any Stampin' Up! supplies to create your greetings or gifts, please use my Demonstrator Website to order 24/7.

Birthday

It's my soldier son's birthday on Saturday, and luckily he is still state-side, so he will get his card! I dreamed up the colors while drifting off to sleep. It was hard to just say Happy Birthday, since he is in the middle of training to go to Iraq, but I wanted to wish him the best anyway. His birthday present went into his bank account for later.

Going Gray was my card base, then I layered it with my own designer paper (Whisper White) stamped with Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay using the Circle Circus stamp set. Down the middle I matted the Going Gray with Night of Navy cardstock and put the Going Gray tag from Birthday Bliss (embossed with clear embossing powder and matted with Bermuda Bay) right in the center. It looked a bit lonely, so I stamped the Circle Circus images two more times using Versa Mark and clear embossing powder.

Ingredients:
Cardstock: Going Gray, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay
Stamps: Birthday Bliss, Circle Circus
Ink: Versa Mark, Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Small and Large Tag punches, Stampin' Dimensionals, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

Beachy, Punchy, Bubbly

I had fun with this one! I started out slow, then just couldn't stop adding. Hope it's not too much. The fish image from (Just Beachy) is FUN and the embellishments are equally happy! Once again I created my own design on paper with the bubbles (Circle Circus) in two colors. I am loving the new Bermuda Bay color and it's been a trip seeing which other colors it looks good with.
I hope your summer is going well. Please contact me if you have questions (email is on sidebar).

I met the challenges CAS19 and CC223 on Splitcoast Stampers!  This Clean and Simple design meets Color Challenge colors Baja Breeze, Ruby Red and Whisper White and makes the perfect birthday card for any age, any gender.  Ruby Red card base measures 5.25 x 5.25 and is topped with circles stamped in Ruby Red onto Whisper White, then matted with textured Baja Breeze.  My very last piece of Baja Breeze striped grossgrain holds one more circle and the sentiment from the Mark the Date stamp set on Whisper White, punched and matted using Stampin' Up's Tag punches. This card came together very fast!  Baja Breeze is one of Stampin' Up's retiring colors, so if you would like to order ink, paper, ribbon or the CUTE corduroy buttons from the mini catalog, you have until June 30th, which is right around the corner!

Mojo Monday 91

Using new papers again today! The Designer Series Paper is called Razzleberry Lemonade has so many different colors and patterns that all coordinate together. I used one of my Circle Circus stamps again and made my own pattern using Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White paper. I recently tried Stampin Up's textured cardstock and LOVE it so I ordered some In Color textured 8.5 x 11 and I'm really glad I did. It adds just the right amount of depth to your cards for either the elements on the front or for your card base (here in new Crushed Curry). It's easy to fold-not too heavy like some textured cardstock I've tried before. Textured cardstock is also great for scrapbooking (available in 12 x 12), which is the first place I ever used it. (If you'd like to see some other Mojo Monday cards from this sketch, please check the Mojo Monday website.) The sentiment on this card is one of the Lovely Lines rub ons that comes in the Lovely Flowers Bundle in the Hostess Level 3 "freebees." The sentiments and other rub ons in the set match the stamp set and Designer Paper, which are also part of the set. Ask me how you can earn this or any sets in our Hostess program.
