Happy Birthday in Neutral Colors

Today's card was created by using Birthday Celebration stamp set with Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper and Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Both of the banner dies were cut from the Birthday Celebration Dies and those cute little white flowers on the mini Wild Wheat banner are also from the die set. So many detailed dies in this set! The basic black plant is from the Golden Greenery Dies. Wild Wheat looks like gold when stamped and if you like it, you should order it soon, as it retires in a few weeks.

Make A Wish

Happy New Year! I know I'm late in saying that, but life is busy! We are in the last week of Sale-A-Bration, where you get to choose a free item for EACH $60 spent on products! Let's Celebrate!

This is a belated birthday card that I made for a friend. Unfortunately at this time of year, it's easy to forget things that don't relate to the holidays. So, I made a card that was more special than usual. I used the Light the Sky stamp set and dies for the background of this card and the fun fireworks cut out. The sentiment is from the Simply Said stamp set and those cute white embossed stars are from the Decorative Trees stamp set. For the blues in the sky portion of the card, I used Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight with blending brushes.

I'll definitely be using this for inspiration for New Year thank you cards after Christmas. I'll be getting them done now while I'm finished with my Christmas prep! 

I will be showing some Valentine ideas in the coming weeks, so for now, I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2025!

Mystery Stamping Card - Hooray It's Your Day~

Hi Friends! Tonight I joined a private Facebook Live for "Mystery Stamping." If you have never played along with a Mystery Stamping, it's where you receive the measurements for the layers of a card and you pre-cut them as directed. Then, you join the live call and the following clues tell you how to use those pieces to assemble your card. 

This card was quick to put together, in fact I made TWO while the call was going, as I had not pre cut anything before hand. I will share the measurements as given below:

*note all items should should coordinate with each other

4-1/2" x 11" card stock base

4-1/4" x 2" DSP layer

3-1/4" x 5" card stock layer

3" x 4-3/4" DSP layer

Add sentiment layer that fits your stamped sentiment. Add ribbon or embellishments as you like!

A Beautiful Friend Birthday

I found a similar card to this on Pinterest and I wanted to put my own spin on it. I love how the Texture Chic Memories and More cards are a little larger than the cards I made from a half sheet of card stock. This gives you a little more room to write, or you can include a 4" x 6" photo, which I often want to do. The card already has a print on the front and a matching envelope with printed flap and decorative gold corner accents.

Sending Sunshine and Rainbows

This would make an excellent St. Patrick's Day card

This card came together quickly and easily and I had fun water coloring the rainbow of colors. I will include this card in a box full of St. Patrick's Day goodies that I'm sending to a Freshman in college. I love making holiday packages for our friends' college age kids. During their first year away, I send care packages for holidays so they can have a little fun decorating their dorms or apartments and share some goodies with their friends.

I used Water Color paper to make rainbow colors. Using a water painter, I brushed on Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Parakeet Party. I let those colors dry and inked up the sentiment from Good Feelings using Jet Black Stazon. You can see that my image is a little light, but I kind of liked the look, so I let it be.

More fun with Charming Sentiments stamp set and the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies! This fun and colorful card is going to be for a special birthday celebration next month. I started out by using the "wow" die (I don't know what it's called!) behind the candle flame! I knew it would highlight the flame. I had those Stitched Rectangle die cuts sitting on my desk. The candle fit over both of them when positioned vertically.

Next, my background was going to have stars cut from it using the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. I popped that panel up using Stampin' Dimensionals and framed it with a larger rectangle die in Bermuda Bay. The birthday greeting was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. Easily cut out using the dies again. 

 I cut out extra stars to adorn the envelope flap and the inside of the card.

Charming Sentiments Bundle

Charming Sentiments was my first love in the recently released Annual Catalog. It has so many great sayings and then there are the dies that perfectly cut each saying out! It's too easy to make a great looking card. 

 

Today's card was inspired by one of the samples in the catalog, seen above. I love looking and looking again at samples as a way to begin a project. There aren't any instructions, but if you know Stampin' Up! products, you can figure out the "ingredients" and then make substitutions with what you have on hand.

If you cut each rainbow out and frame it with a coordinating color (Stitched So Sweetly Dies), you can add it to a note card and get 6 cards from one 6" x 6" sheet. Golden Garden Specialty Acetate

If you like making your cards extra special, I highly recommend using Golden Garden Specialty Acetate. Paired over a 3" square of Pretty Peacock card stock and framed with this brushed paint print from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper, it gives this card a richness it otherwise wouldn't have. All it takes is one little square and your card reaches another level. You can make 12 cards from one sheet of acetate using it this way, and there are three different prints in the pack.

Art Gallery Birthday and Accidental Fringe

Art Gallery Stamp Set, Floral Gallery Dies, Fine Art Ribbon and Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper were used to create this birthday card in a snap.

Need a quick card? I always take out all of my "suite" elements. Here I used the stamp set, dies, ribbon and designer series paper from the Fine Art Floral Suite. Everything matches and is designed to use together. Don't let that limit your use, though, as many of the other Stampin' Up! products already in your craft room can also be used with these products.

The ribbon on this card, Fine Art Ribbon, was accidentally frayed! I got something caught on the end of the spool of ribbon and it started fraying as I walked away! I thought it looked very cool, so I used it on this card. I love accidental designing!

Forever Greenery Birthday for a Special Lady

I'm glad you stopped by today. I've been busy getting ready for my Christmas Craft Day and now that that is over, I'm ready to post some of the things I've been making lately. Here is a birthday card I made for my dear daughter-in-law. Awhile ago I posted the matching Gift Card holder and you can see that here.

This card was made using the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper cut with a Stitched Rectangle die. The Gold Foil circle was cut from the Painted Labels die set. The sentiment was stamped onto a Stitched Nested Label die using the Peaceful Moments stamp set and Pretty Peacock ink. I added some gems and sparkles to make this card special.

Peony Fun Fold Birthday

 

This is a special birthday card for one of my stamping friends. She is creative and fun and loves to come and stamp any time she can. It's a birthday card.

 

 

This is what the card looks like when you fold it for mailing. I did use one of the non-machinable stamps to make sure I had enough postage. It wasn't the layers but the bow that made the card so think in the envelope.

Good Morning Magnolia Birthday Card

 

Good Morning Magnolia provides a bold center piece for this card. You hardly need to add anything when you use this bold bloom on your card front. My card base is 11" x 4-1/4", scored at 2-3/4" from each end. I added some (retired) designer series paper on each front panel to match the coloring I did on the leaves using my Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.

 

                                  

 

After coloring, I added a wash of Wink of Stella to make my blooms sparkle. In the future, I would just stamp these blooms onto Shimmery White card stock for the sparkle.

 

 

Inside, I used another die from the Magnolia Memories Die to make the outlined bloom. The "91" is from a retired die set. Plenty of room to write some birthday wishes.
