Eastern Blooms Set

I am in love with this card! I have always liked Stampin' Up's Eastern Blooms and think it is a definite "keeper" of a set. This week I created a set of cards to give to my accountant when I went in to get my taxes done. I have to say, I've never looked forward to this appointment more than this year! Making a set of cards to spread my Stampin' Love definitely made this annual appointment a lot more enjoyable! And, the entire office was very happy to receive my little gift. They are always so sweet sending birthday cards, so I thought it was a great way to give back a little.

Here is the full set. I decided on some spring colors because I'm ready for some warmer weather. I used Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz. I hope you liked looking and please leave your comments below. I love to read them all!

Sunny Garden Weekend

Good Friday to you! I hope you have something fun in store for your weekend. What are your plans? For me it's a bit of work and a lot of fun! I have a lot of gardening to do and a birthday celebration for our son who is turning 24! Speaking of gardening....
  • This is Stampin Up's Sunny Garden designer series paper and the colors in it go with the card stock I chose: Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Peach Parfait.
  • I used the Cute by the Inch stamp set for my sentiment, also stamped in Poppy Parade. It looks so crisp and clean cut out in a square with my paper trimmer.
  • I used the set Eastern Blooms one of my FAVorites for the popped up flower.
  • I curled the edges (using my bone folder) of the cut out bloom just a bit for a more 3-D effect, then popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • On the side I used three colors of the Flower Brads and the middle of the large bloom also got a brad in a coordinating color.
If you need these or any other Stampin' Up! supplies, I'd love to be your go-to demonstrator. Just use my Website. It's quick and easy and you can order 24/7!

Regal Yoyo Lace and a HOP!

The title of this post combines my color combination for this card. I've been looking at these three ink pads stacked on my desk for awhile. By stamping the Eastern Blooms onto the Bride Specialty Paper, you can see the shimmer that runs through the pattern on the card stock. That is one of the things I enjoy about this paper. You can have so much fun with it.

I popped up the Regal Rose large bloom and put a sentiment punched out with a 5/8" circle punch instead of the regular center of the flower.

Shopping List:
Card Stock: Basic Black, Bride Specialty (Yoyo Yellow on the inside)
Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Picture This (isolated sentiment)
Ink: Regal Rose, Yoyo Yellow, Lavender Lace

As usual, you can use my website to purchase your own Stampin' Up! products.

We have a lot of fun, and some of us are into "hopping." If you don't know what that is, it's when you "hop" from one blog to another. Each blogger will welcome you from the previous site and direct you with a link to the next site. You can really do it any order, but here is where the Pals Blog Hop officially starts this month:

PPA15 Color Challenge

PPA 15 is a color challenge. Use Ruby Red, Taken with Teal and Basic Gray in your project. Upload it to our challenge website: Pals Paper Arts and join us playing with stamps and paper!
I enjoyed making this card. It's called a Side Step card and the original design is by Jackie Topa. I got my instructions from Julie Davison's tutorial.

The card base involves one cut of your 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" piece of card stock. There are 5 scores. Then you are ready to "decorate" your card base with stamps, bling, punches, etc. I used the Eastern Blooms set and cut out the small flower images to put onto the first and second rows of my card. I left a little room on the back row under the sentiment so I could write a personal message. Here is what the card looks like from the side:

Your card will fit in a regular size envelope.

I hope you enjoy looking at my creation. I would love to read your comments, so please leave one!

Shopping List:
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Ruby Red
Stamps: Eastern Blooms
Ink: Ruby Red, Taken with Teal, Basic Gray
Extras: Big Shot, Pattern 2 Texturz Plate, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Write Markers in Ruby Red, Taken with Teal, Basic Gray

All products used are Stampin' Up!

Kwerner #53

KwernerDesign Color Inspiration #53.  I didn't find the right way to use all of the colors for quite awhile. I am happy with my creation, but next time I'd probably heat emboss my flowers for a little sparkle. The card is for a retirement for a guy, so I think it's good the way it is.

Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Textured Pacific Point
Ink:  Basic Black, Summer Sun, Real Red, Pacific Point
Stamps:  Eastern Blooms and Congrats from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
