Fall Colors Collage with Timeless Textures

Even though it's very sunny and warm all day, the night temperatures have dipped about 10 degrees in the past week! Yay! No leaves falling yet, either. To celebrate that it may just be getting cooler, I used fall colors on my card.

I received a swap that used a black mat and gray and black stamping for the background. I don't know whose card it is, though, sorry! I changed the color scheme and the sentiment/banner shape. I hope you enjoyed looking! Please leave me a comment so I know you were here.

Birthday Banners and Balloon Bouquets

Tami at Stamp With Tami made a similar card to this one and I just had to use this layout! The stamp set is Birthday Banners. I changed the designer series paper and the colors, then added some ribbon across the front. The pearls were just the last touch, as well.

This makes a fantastic and festive birthday card for any age person! Using the Bunch of Banners Framelits and the Balloon Bouquet Punch makes it easy to whip up for that birthday guy or gal!

Narrow Note Cards Trio

I had fun creating these Narrow Note Cards! They don't take a lot of time since there isn't a lot of space. These cards are perfect to slip into a lunch box or gift with your special message. The stamp set I used here is the Stitched All Around set. Those darling hearts were created by using the matching Stitched Labels Framelits. Aren't they so cute?

I just took a lot of card stock scraps and die cut a lot of the shapes from the Sitched Labels Framelits and started layering some of them. Here I added a Happy Birthday Gorgeous sen sentiment on it's own banner, die cut from the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

I admit this card will be for my husband, since I always sing this song to him. The stamp from Stitched All Around of course fits perfectly in the die cut circle. I love how you can put ribbon through those little holes created by the die.

Thanks for looking! Create something special today.

Big Congratulations, Graduate!

Today's card is my last graduation card of the season. I began by finding inspiration from Jo Anne Hewins. I didn't have the same sentiment, so the "congratulations" part is my own.

Black, White and Sparkles look pretty festive and cutting out all of the elements was easy using my Big Shot, Dies and a punch. I popped up the balloons, numbers and banner over the spectacular Softly Falling background.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will take a moment to leave a comment for me.

Mother's Day Card for New Mom

This year my daughter had her third baby and I wanted to make a special card just for her to celebrate the great mom she is. I'm so proud of who she is as a mom. She keeps her children a priority in her life. She spends time with them and has fun every single day.

I used the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper as my focal point. The background is Whisper White that is embossed using the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Powder Pink piece was trimmed using a retired rotary cutter and my Stampin' Trimmer. The sentiment is from A Mother's Flair and was cut out using the Bunch of Banners Framelits. There is a basic pearl on my Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon bow.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Won't you leave a comment for me? I'd love to read all of them.

#4 Special Girl Birthday

Another pair of similar cards, if you saw yesterday's post. Our granddaughter turns 4 this month and I've used pretty much the same layout as the 2 year old card I made for our grandson. Their birthdays are only 2 days apart.

Our granddaughter can read numbers and letters, so of course I wanted to put a large "4" onto the card. I used the bright Daffodil Delight card stock and cut it out using the Large Numbers Framelits. She will enjoy recognizing her new age when she opens this card. That cute balloon is from the Party Animal Embellishments (now retired).  The banner behind the number was cut out and stamped with a teeny image from the Paper Pumpkin (May 2017) stamp set called Sprinkled with Love.

Colorful Happy Birthday Banner

Another CASEd card, this time from Amy O'Neill. Casing makes it easy to have enough birthday cards on hand! I send out about one card of some typer per day on average. I love making cards and not sending them would be so sad, right? Do you keep your cards or send them? Let me know in the comment section!

Love these unlikely colors together. I'm not good at putting colors together, but this is so bright and colorful: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Dapper Denim and Peekaboo Peach. I added a little brush end of a Crushed Curry marker to one side of the flame for a little interest.

Thanks for looking today! Have a great weekend.

Housewarming Card

Happy Thursday! I haven't had much time for creating, but needed a card to go with a housewarming gift. A young couple I know are moving into their first house and I purchased some fun things they can use around the house. The gifts were placed into a burlap-covered bin, and included candles, a wooden "M" for their last name, some Valentine paper plates and napkins and an enamel photo frame. The candles were my color inspiration for this card: Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz.

I certainly used a lot of Stampin' Up products to create this card, but I hadn't used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set in a very long time. The sentiment comes from the Better Together stamp set, which I hadn't inked up yet. You can see how all of the stamp sets, old and new can work together to make a lovely card.

Thanks for looking today! I hope you are inspired and that you will leave me a comment so I know you looked.

Pals Blog Hop - "Wicked Folds"

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for October 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects feature cards made using “wicked” folds. What is a “wicked” fold? It is anything other than the standard A2 card fold. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

I believe this is called an "easel card", or a version of one. It's not wicked at all, but easy to duplicate. You simply cut the card base the same way you would (any shape or size) then cut out the middle of the front to make a "frame." (I made a 3/4" cut using my Stampin' Trimmer, turning the card for each side).  Score the frame horizontally halfway down the frame and then make a second card front "frame" the same size as your card front and adhere that over the bottom of the fold. When you close the card it looks like the photo below. It's flat for mailing. You could make it a shaker care using TWO Window Sheets instead of the Window Sheet and Watercolor Paper like I used here.

The little stamped circles popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals help keep the card standing up.

In this version, I placed an Window Sheet between the frame and my watercolor paper. The watercolor paper has a skyline painted on it with four birds drawn on. The Window Sheet has the motorcycle stamped in Jet Black Stazon. In person it looks more 3-D with the bike in the foreground. I added the top frame using Stampin' Dimensionals. The motorcycle does not look fuzzy in person, but when I uploaded the photos, they blurred a little for some reason. Sorry about that! :-(

Materials Used: One Wild Ride stamp set, Watercolor Paper, Window Sheets, Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla card stock, Jet Black Stazon, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker; Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky inks; Big Shot with Bunch of Banners Framelits, 3/4" Circle Punch, Tombow Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month's Pals Blog Hop!

Congratulations! Well Done!

One week from today, our son graduates from the Police Academy and begins a job as an officer in a local city. We are so proud! I made this card using Night of Navy and Smoky Slate Card Stock with Whisper White accents.

The badge from the My Hero stamp set is perfect here, stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. I used a Blender Pen and a pool of Night of Navy ink to color in the "#1" circle. I perfectly punched it out using the Best Badge Punch.

The "CONGRATULATIONS" sentiment is from One Wild Ride. I framed it using the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

I'm glad you looked today. I invite you to shop my Online Store any time!

Pineapple It's Your Big Day!

Since Stampin' Up! came out with the Pineapple stamp, I've noticed more pineapples than ever!

This display that I saw at our church bookstore last Sunday pretty much sums of the pineapple and it's place in our decorating schemes! Pillows, plates and platters adorn this display.

Now you can make cards that will be on trend and will also make someone's day! Use the Pineapple stamp alone or with a sentiment and some embellishments and voila! You have a wonderful and welcome greeting for anyone of any age.

To add the mottled look on the pineapple itself, I used my Stampin' Write marker in Soft Suede to tap all over the ink. I stamped an extra set of Cucumber Crush leaves and cut three of them out to pop up with Stampin' Dimensionals. It adds a 3-D look.

I hope you liked looking today and that you will leave a comment. I love reading them!

Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate

I saw the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate in the new catalog and I just had to get some and try it out! The great thing about it is that the design shows through on both sides of the acetate, but it gold on one side and silver on the other! You get to choose which side you use.

I chose gold and then matched my Balloon Bouquet balloons using the Gold Glimmer Paper. Across the top I added a piece of (retired) Gold Glimmer Washi Tape.

My sentiment is stamped in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White card stock. I isolated the "Come, Let Us" and "Drink" from the Balloon Celebration stamp set using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. It's almost straight! The "champagne" from the same set was placed in a slight curve onto the clear block so it would fit onto the bottom banner of the Bunch of Banners Framelit.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card today! Won't you please leave a comment for me? Thanks so much!
