Party Pandas Happy Birthday

Party Pandas! A fun stamp set that you can only earn for FREE by purchasing $50 in merchandise during Sale-A-Bration, going on right now!! What fun cards you can make. It's like a party in the envelope for the recipient!

Here I used an idea from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. They made a tag for a bag of candy using the same layout, but a different shape (I used Lots of Labels Framelits) and just the Whisper White card stock. I framed my "tag" in Basic Black and then centered it onto my matt (Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder) and card base, both in Pool Party.

I hope you liked looking today. Please leave me a comment so I know you were here. I LOVE reading the comments!!

#4 Special Girl Birthday

Another pair of similar cards, if you saw yesterday's post. Our granddaughter turns 4 this month and I've used pretty much the same layout as the 2 year old card I made for our grandson. Their birthdays are only 2 days apart.

Our granddaughter can read numbers and letters, so of course I wanted to put a large "4" onto the card. I used the bright Daffodil Delight card stock and cut it out using the Large Numbers Framelits. She will enjoy recognizing her new age when she opens this card. That cute balloon is from the Party Animal Embellishments (now retired).  The banner behind the number was cut out and stamped with a teeny image from the Paper Pumpkin (May 2017) stamp set called Sprinkled with Love.

Two-Year-Old Birthday Candles

Our grandson is turning two this month and he doesn't know how to read yet, so I've made this card with TWO candles on it. Hopefully he gets a little help "reading" or counting those TWO candles on his special day.

That adorable little birthday hat is from the retired Party Animal Embellishment package, which never got used in my craft room until now! The Pacific Point Stitched Edge Ribbon is *brand new*, available starting today, so I hope you are excited to see how new products blend right in with the "old."

Decorated Candles

Today, I thought I'd share with you some little candles that I decorated recently. A friend of a friend, who saw one of my "cakes" asked me to make two for her. One was for a birthday and the other I think was for cheering someone up. So, I set out and make FOUR cakes, because I wanted to give her a choice of colors/themes. She bought all four candles!

For the first one, I cut out the strawberry from the Berry Blossoms designer series paper. I added it to the top of the candle with a piece of 1/8" Old Olive taffeta ribbon. It matches the taffeta around the edge as well.

This next candle is decorated with the Cheerful Treat (appropriate name!) designer series paper that is only available to qualifying hostesses. I added bling with some basic rhinestones on top of my teeny flowers punched from coordinating card stock using the Boho Blossoms and Itty Bitty Shapes punches. The tags are from Tiny Tags and are punched out with the Jewelry Tag.

I think this third candle is my favorite! It uses the Flirtatious Specialty designer series paper. I used pearls to accent the same flowers as candle #2, and the same tag punch with Tiny Tags and Pennant Parade stamps. The top edge of the side was decorated using 1/4" Pretty In Pink grosgrain ribbon that I "ruffled" with Sticky Strip. The tags were secured using Whisper White baker's twine.

This was the most fun candle and I used the Big Top Birthday designer series paper. I punched a piece of Daffodil Delight (Patterns Designer Series Stack) using the Floral Fusion die to slip around the flame. Another Tiny Tags sentiment tied on with Cherry Cobbler/White baker's twine and you are finished!

I hope you enjoyed my candles. If you would like to purchase a candle that I design using your color scheme or theme, please email me and I would be happy to fill your order.

I look forward to reading your comments!
