Cheers to 23 Years!

I don't usually show cards using retired stamp sets, but a lot of times I will see a card with any stamp set and like the layout or some special technique about it. I can then create my own card using the layout or technique and any other stamp set. So, you see, you can be inspired even if you don't have the same supplies I used here.

Another thing I don't do often is decorate the inside of the cards I make! Here, I wanted to personalize the card for a couple's 23rd wedding anniversary. I ended up crossing out the words 'half full' and writing 'overflowing' in their place!

I hope you were inspired today. Please visit my Online Store for your own Stampin' Up! supplies. Come back soon!

Bold Blueberry Bushel Birthday

If you follow me, you will remember that I made a card using Blueberry Bushel a couple of weeks ago for someone who was turning 100. Here is another card using the same color scheme.

So easy to make a "wow" card using the In Color 6 x 6" paper packs. And I am just loving my newly purchased Stitched Rectangles Dies! They are perfect accents, backgrounds and elements on any card, tag or scrapbook page. I'm sure I will reach for these often!

Hummingbird Happy Birthday and Bonus Days!!

This card is a birthday card for my six year old granddaughter. I used the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper as the background. The hummingbird is a snipped image from one of the patterns in this beautiful pack of paper. I created the flower by using the Balloon Bouquet Punch and Whisper White card stock. The flower's center is cut using the Magnolia Memories Dies. The sparkly center is a Gold Faceted Gem. Those Mint Macaron leaves were cut out with the Leaf Punch and gently mashed up for a 3D look.

Inside the card, I used a Whisper White Stitched Rectangle for writing a personal note. I stamped hearts on it using the Meant to Be stamp set.

See the Mosaic Mood Specialty paper has a shine on some of the mosaic tiles (lower R corner)

The sentiment is from the Special Celebrations stamp set. The hummingbird is popped up on TWO layers of Stampin' Dimensionals so he can reach the flower better ;-)

Birthday Banners and Balloon Bouquets

Tami at Stamp With Tami made a similar card to this one and I just had to use this layout! The stamp set is Birthday Banners. I changed the designer series paper and the colors, then added some ribbon across the front. The pearls were just the last touch, as well.

This makes a fantastic and festive birthday card for any age person! Using the Bunch of Banners Framelits and the Balloon Bouquet Punch makes it easy to whip up for that birthday guy or gal!

I'm glad you came by today! Don't miss my posts by signing up to receive an email whenever I post.

Big Congratulations, Graduate!

Today's card is my last graduation card of the season. I began by finding inspiration from Jo Anne Hewins. I didn't have the same sentiment, so the "congratulations" part is my own.

Black, White and Sparkles look pretty festive and cutting out all of the elements was easy using my Big Shot, Dies and a punch. I popped up the balloons, numbers and banner over the spectacular Softly Falling background.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will take a moment to leave a comment for me.

Birthday Banners Picture Perfect Narrow Note Card

I forgot all about these wonderful Whisper White Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes which come from the Occasions Catalog and are being carried in the upcoming Annual Catalog. They are so quick to decorate and would be nice to give with a gift OR to slip a gift card into.

I saw that several people used a circle punch to get a nice envelope liner to match any card. I used the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper. I love how you can use scrap pieces of designer series paper on these card fronts. If you use 6" x 6" paper stacks, you can make FOUR card fronts from each piece when cut wisely! A couple of stamped and punched balloons (stamped with Birthday Banners and punched using the Balloon Bouquet Punch) and a little string or ribbon, plus a sentiment (die cut using the Bunch of Banners Framelits) and you have SUCH a cute card! So many possibilities!

Thanks for looking today. I hope you are inspired. Please let me know you were here by leaving your comment.

Sister Birthday Balloons

I wish I could tell you who made the card that inspired this one! The watermark on the photo I captured is so tiny that I can't read it! Sorry about that. I used all different colors, papers and sentiment, but the layout is the same.

Thank you for looking today! Please leave me a comment so I know you were here! Have a great day. Don't forget to use my Online Store to purchase your own stamps and ink!

May Pals Blog Hop--Stepping Up With Textures

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects that are “stepped up” by using textures or fun techniques. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

I added texture to my Balloon Celebration birthday card by taking those Balloon Bouquet-punched balloons and running them through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. All of the balloons fit in one pass through!

My background paper from Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper also gives the card a little dimension. What do you think? I'd love for you to leave your comments below!

Use my Online Store any time you are shopping for Stamping' Up! products.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Happy 30th With Balloon Celebration

A very special lady in our lives is turning 30 and I made this card to match her gift. I used the Number of Years and Balloon Celebration stamp sets. My colors were Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette and Tip Top Taupe. I was inspired by another stamper, but I cannot remember who it was--so sorry!

For a little bling, I added sequins from the Fancy Frost and Metallics collections. My card base is Thick Whisper White because of all the layers on the front of the card.

Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate

I saw the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate in the new catalog and I just had to get some and try it out! The great thing about it is that the design shows through on both sides of the acetate, but it gold on one side and silver on the other! You get to choose which side you use.

I chose gold and then matched my Balloon Bouquet balloons using the Gold Glimmer Paper. Across the top I added a piece of (retired) Gold Glimmer Washi Tape.

My sentiment is stamped in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White card stock. I isolated the "Come, Let Us" and "Drink" from the Balloon Celebration stamp set using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. It's almost straight! The "champagne" from the same set was placed in a slight curve onto the clear block so it would fit onto the bottom banner of the Bunch of Banners Framelit.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card today! Won't you please leave a comment for me? Thanks so much!

Ballon Background for PPA THREE HUNDRED!

Where has the time gone!! Pals Paper Arts is celebrating our 300th Challenge!! I hope you will celebrate with us and play along by creating a card using our sketch by the lovely and talented Design Team member Sandra Conner. After you create, photograph your card and upload it to a public gallery or your blog and link it back to the challenge page

Did you know that the DT picks their three favorites each week and puts them on display on Wednesdays?

I am loving texture this week as seen in my Pals Blog Hop yesterday, and today's card has plenty of it!

My burlap ribbon frames a slice of the upcoming Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper and Another print from the same package is framed using Watermelon Wonder card stock. Those fun balloons in the background are punched with the Balloon Bouquet punch.

The "celebrate" sentiment is from the soon-coming Thoughtful Banners stamp set and is punched with the brand new Duet Banner punch. June 1st is coming soon!! I can't wait to show you more from our new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog!

Order any time using my Online Store. I thank you for your business! It keeps me making cards!
