Springtime Impressions Birthday

Another great thing about this layout is you only need half a sheet of the 6" x 6" designer series paper. You can use up a lot of scraps this way!

This card was made in the image of one that I received in a swap this summer. I'm sorry I do not know who had the original idea. The thing I loved about this card were the colors and the fact that I could use my Stamparatus tool to make any color ink embossed.

By stamping the sentiment first in two colors of ink using the Stamparatus, I could then clean off the stamp, re-ink with VersaMark, then use Clear Embossing Powder to heat emboss. The colors now have a shine to them and look raised.  The Stamparatus helps you place the VersaMark over the ink colors in EXACTLY the same spot you had stamped them. Genius!

Thanks for coming by today! I hope your weekend is wonderful.

Big Congratulations, Graduate!

Today's card is my last graduation card of the season. I began by finding inspiration from Jo Anne Hewins. I didn't have the same sentiment, so the "congratulations" part is my own.

Black, White and Sparkles look pretty festive and cutting out all of the elements was easy using my Big Shot, Dies and a punch. I popped up the balloons, numbers and banner over the spectacular Softly Falling background.

Happy Belated Birthday Gorgeous

Time to replenish my belated birthday supply. Yes, I am late sometimes!

This card would be nice for any special occasion if you don't use the same stamp set. Imagine a Congratulations card or just "I'm Thinking of You" for the sentiment. Stamp that beautiful flower and stem and cut out in any shape you like.

Adding that gorgeous pearl makes the card more special and gives a finishing touch that is sure to make someone feel special, even if you are late with your card!

Happy Belated Birthday, Gorgeous!

Once in awhile I don't have my act together and I am late sending birthday wishes! With that in mind, I now have a few of these "belated" birthday wish cards on hand. It seems to be happening more often?! The print was made using the Painted Harvest stamp set and two-step stamping using Smoky Slate and Basic Black inks. My sentiment comes from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. This stamp set will continue in the new catalogs coming out June 1st.

I based my card off of an idea by JoAnne Hewins. Pair any black and white designer series print (here I used Whole Lot of Lovely) with any stamp design in Basic Black ink on Whisper White card stock. Then POP it with a bright color like Lemon Lime Twist for a card base. My embellishments are Lemon Lime Twist 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon, Tutti-frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins and Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

Shiny Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

CASEd card from stampwithkristin.com  This was a fun card to make and all the designing was done for me! I love the three layers of "Happy Birthday", adhered together and then covered with the Fine Tip Glue pen, which is what gives it the shine. The glue is easy to apply, so thick it doesn't spill over your edges and dries in less than an hour.

Underneath the vellum layer are multiple sayings from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, each stamped in Jet Black Stazon and then colored over using a quick scribble with the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils.

Thanks for looking today! I hope you are inspired to CASE any designs you see in galleries, on blogs or even from a store rack. Make it your own, or copy it completely, but don't forget to credit the original designer.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous for a Gentleman

Today's card was quick and easy! I love the Night of Navy with Basic Gray and Silver. Very manly, I think! What do you think? Let me know by leaving a comment!

I stamped and then stamped off those little buds around the Happy Birthday Sentiment. All stamps are from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

Wedding Wishes for a Special Couple

When I first married 37 years ago, we went to a lot of weddings! Now I am in the season of attending weddings of my kids' friends and my friends' kids! It's awesome to have weddings at least a couple of times per year again.

I used Craft White ink on the Brick Wall TIEF and ran it through the Big Shot with Soft Sky card stock. I let it dry while I was creating the Stitched Shapes Framelit with my sentiment. I added some stamped and fussy cut flowers and leaves and then used Stampin' Dimensionals to lift it off the wall.  Lastly, I added an easy-to-tie bow using Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon. I say 'easy' because this ribbon is so soft and pliable that it IS easy to tie into a bow or knot! I love it and will be acquiring more colors ASAP!

Thank you for stopping by today! Won't you take a moment to leave a comment so I know you were here? Thank you!
