Mother's Day Card for New Mom

This year my daughter had her third baby and I wanted to make a special card just for her to celebrate the great mom she is. I'm so proud of who she is as a mom. She keeps her children a priority in her life. She spends time with them and has fun every single day.

I used the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper as my focal point. The background is Whisper White that is embossed using the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Powder Pink piece was trimmed using a retired rotary cutter and my Stampin' Trimmer. The sentiment is from A Mother's Flair and was cut out using the Bunch of Banners Framelits. There is a basic pearl on my Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon bow.

A Mother's Flair for Mother's Day

Mother's Day! A day to celebrate moms everywhere. I send cards to all of my close friends who are moms, my "second mom", my daughter, my sister and my sisters-in-law. My own mom has passed away, so sending cards to others gives me a chance to focus on the ladies in my life who I get to watch do one of the hardest jobs there are.

I chose the prints from Petal Garden Designer Series Paper. The colors are gorgeous, very spring-like and have coordinating embellishments to create with.

A Mother's Flair

Today's card is for Mother's Day and was inspired by a Ronda Wade card. We made these at a Workshop this week and it was fun to put together. I let the ladies choose Real Red ribbon or Bermuda Bay ribbon. Then they colored the flower to match.

I let the ladies choose whether they wanted to use the White Perfect Accents or Brights Enamel Shapes. (both of these embellishments are retiring!) The sentiment is from A Mother's Flair from the Occasions Catalog. My flowers are from Birthday Blooms and the mesh background is from Timeless Textures. The paper on the bottom of the card front was free during Sale-A-Bration.
