Cozy Christmas Tag

All of the patterns in the Home for Christmas Designer Series paper remind me of my childhood Christmases in the 60's. There are playful deer, snow-covered houses, candy stripes, old-fashioned ornaments, Christmas trees, holly and more!

I'm offering product shares of the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper, Real Red Pompom Trim, Home for Christmas Enamel Dots, Very Vanilla 1-1/4" Subtle Stripes Satin Ribbon and Home For Christmas Designer Buttons.  The cost is $12 plus $5.25 shipping for a total of $17.25 (US Addresses only). I will fill up the "shares" in groups of four. Email me if you are interested, tell me how many shares you wish to have me send and I will put you on one of my lists. As I get groups of four, I will bill you. Products will be ordered after payment is received and shipped within a week of groups closing. I got my inspiration from looking at page 8 in the Holiday Catalog, but there are so many ways you could use little snips of Home for Christmas designer paper and the coordinating Cozy Christmas stamp set. I'm loving them both!

Baby Congrats for PPA255

I wanted to use the new Made With Love stamp set and these colors provided by Pals Paper Arts Design Team were perfect for this baby boy card. I wanted to stay simple, so I stamped those teeny "cartoon" stars in Sahara Sand all around like a border on my Sahara Sand card base. Inside the border I placed a Banner Framelit in Marina Mist that I stamped with tiny "cartoon" hearts in Marina Mist ink.

On top of the first banner I placed another banner made of a 1-1/2" rectangle of Whisper White that was cut using the Banner Triple Punch. I used the sentiment "congratulations" and stamped it in Early Espresso ink. My Marina Mist birdie has Early Espresso feathers and tail, which I colored using my Blender Pen and an ink pool on the top of the ink pad.

The baby onesie is stamped in Marina Mist ink onto Sahara Sand card stock and cut out using the Baby's First Framelits. I colored those stripes using the ink pool technique described above. Very masculine looking stripes, I think! The onesie is popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for dropping by. Don't forget to check out the entire Design Team's offerings at Pals Paper Arts. Join in yourself! You may be a Pals Pick this week!

WWII Vet Turns 100!

When I read this story about James Ralph Kuntz turning 100 next month, I was inspired to make a card for him. I had just the inspiration I needed from another member of my stamping group, Marlene Heringer.

I used the soon-to-retire By The Seashore stamp set. Using the colors Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake with a Whisper White background, made for a simple patriotic look. On the banner, I used my Little Letters Thinlits (yes, the 'i' and two of the 'o' since I don't have the soon-to-be released Little Numbers Thinlits) to write his new three-digit age! I kept the message simple. Inside I wrote:

"Congratulations and Thank You for your service to our country--celebrate big!"

If you would like to send James a card, you still have plenty of time:

James Ralph Kuntz
c/o Salena Catron
3310 Orleans Drive
Kokomo, IN 46902

Hopefully James receives at least 100 cards!!

Happy Birthday for a Teen Boy

Today's card is for our nephew who is a teenager. He likes a certain college football team and I have used two of their colors on this card. In Stampin' Up color language, the colors are Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry. Can you guess which college football team he loves?

My inspiration was this card by Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty. Mary is my upline and friend and I am always excited to see her almost-daily creations. Her clean and simple style and how she uses different things as her inspiration are a huge help to those of us who need a little help in the inspiration department!

My stamp set "Big Day" and my Blendabilities Daffodil Delight Collection are free items in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. You can choose one item free when you purchase any $50 in Stampin' Up! products. (UPDATE: Blendabilities are no longer available, sorry!)

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card today! Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think. And don't forget to leave your football team guess!!

Get Lotus Blossom Stamp Set -- FREE!

A stamp set called Lotus Blossom is making me look like an artist--all effortlessly! All you do is stamp three images, one on top of another and you have a lovely bloom that looks like it has been painted onto your paper!

I used Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette inks to make this beauty pop off the paper. The stem was done in Wild Wasabi and Mossy Meadow inks, also using two different images. I added a little "tab" of White Jute Ribbon and then hung a Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine with a knot at the bottom.

The only way to get this Lotus Blossom (139143) stamp set is to earn it *free* by purchasing $50 in Stampin' Up! products and then choosing it from the Sale-A-Bration brochure (on my right side bar). Shop my Online Store today!

Thank you for coming by today. Please leave your comments below. I enjoy each and every one! Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm happy to answer them for you. Have a great day!

Happy 91st Birthday, Neighbor!

I made this card for my neighbor, who turned 91 this week! At her age, I hope she celebrates every single day! She still gets out every day, mostly to call her cat and sit on her porch for a little Vitamin D and to talk with whoever happens by.

A special card deserves some special details. Here I used my Aqua Painter and a pool of Calypso Coral ink to color these roses from Apothecary Art. The leaves were done in Wild Wasabi ink and the background was done with Pink Pirouette. I made my own banner and stamped Happiest Birthday onto it and then clipped one end and scrolled the other.

Underneath my Labels Collection Die cut, I added banner that was shaped using the Banners Framelits. After I cut it out, I gave it some texture using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. Down the middle I layered Crochet Trim and Natural Cotton Ribbon.

Thanks for looking today! Please leave your comments below.

"Almost" One Layer Valentine

I generally have a hard time making a one-layer card. I challenged myself to create one for my last workshop. What do you think?

I placed half a doily onto the top portion of my Pink Pirouette card base. Then I added three "banners." The first two are stamped in Real Red and Melon Mambo from the Perfect Pennants stamp set. I die cut them using the Banner Framelits. The last "banner" is really a tag from the That's the Ticket stamp set. It is stamped in Real Red and punched with the Ticket Punch.

Before die-cutting or punching my banners, I used my VersaMark pen to lightly go over the stamped surface. I sprinkled on some Dazzling Details and then heat set the sparkles with my heat gun. I love sparkles! The banners were added to my card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Lastly, I added two of the stamped images from the Perfect Pennants in Melon Mambo and Real Red.

What do you think? This card would be easy to mail because it doesn't take extra postage. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge

Welcome to another Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge! I had fun really getting creative this week, and you can, too! Just make a card using the sketch above, any products you like and then upload it to the PPA site! You will be amazed by the Team's offerings, and that of the participants.

I took the sketch and used the basic elements of it (rectangles, mostly) and then added some buttons and rhinestones off in the corner. I jazzed up the middle panel by die-cutting a banner from Kaleidescope DSP and framing it with Whisper White card stock. There was just enough room for the "enjoy" stamp. My friend is turning 40, so I die-cut the 4 and 0 using the retired Timeless Type dies. I adhered them to a Starburst die cut and added a Bermuda Bay bow. So pretty! I love the festive colors in this DSP.

You can see photos of the products I used below, and clicking on them will take you right to my Online Store to order. The Decorative Dots Embossing Folder has $00.00 as a price because you can earn it *FREE* during Sale-A-Bration, which begins Tuesday, January 28th.

Thank you for looking today! I hope you are inspired. I love to read your comments :-)

Blog CaNdY to Celebrate My Blog Refresh!

I'm celebrating my blog refresh by showing this card, which I have named, "Oh, Happy Day!" I've been wanting to change up my blog for awhile, and I discovered that Patsy Waggoner, a very talented Stampin' Up! Demo, also designs blogs. She used her expertise to plug in my designs, which I created using My Digital Studio.

I am NOT an MDS expert, but the banner and buttons were super easy to design. All the tools are in MDS, I just needed to know what the pixel parameters were and Patsy was so wonderful to help me do that part. She knows HTML code, so we made quite a pair. My blog looks brighter and cleaner, I think. I hope you like it.

Please leave your comments about my card or my new look and you will be entered to win this BLOG CANDY!

Blog Candy Rules:

Occasions Mini Products Are Here!

I'm in a silver mood! I have been using the Silver Foil paper for awhile now. It's so fun! (The gold is fun, too, but I prefer Silver!) It's a DREAM to punch or use the Big Shot and Framelits with!

Here I used the new Petite Petals Stamp Set (6 stamps) and matching Petite Petals Punch. I bought them as a bundle and saved 15%!

These lovely petals with Basic Rhinestone centers are each different, but all the same size. You can stamp then punch, or just punch out colors or patterns for your cards or scrapbook pages, gift tags or boxes. The possibilities are endless!

It's very hard to photograph the foil card stock since it's so shiny, but here is a close up of my banners. The bottom layer is the new Banners Framelits with Silver Foil paper. Next layer is Smoky Slate card stock which has stamped images from Banner Blast (Sale-A-Bration) in Bermuda Bay Ink. On top of the banner is a Little Labels Silver Foil punch out. The hearts on top of the mini stamp square are the same banners from Banner Blast stamped onto Coastal Cabana with Bermuda Bay Ink. I then used the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit to cut little hearts out. Each heart received a Basic Rhinestone embellishment.

The frame on my card is Brushed Silver card stock that has been run through the Big Shot using the new Scallops embossing folder.

What do you think? Are you excited about the new items? Have you ordered any? What is on your Wish List?

Congratulations to Angie Blake, who became my 100th follower! She is going to receive one of my hand made cards. Thank you all for being followers of Papercrafts by Patti. I appreciate each of you and the time you take to make comments! I will be doing a Blog Candy giveaway very soon!
