Welcome Baby Cards with Scalloped Note Cards

Babies are one of my favorite kinds of people in life! They are new, wonderful and full of promise. These cards are so quick to make! The Scalloped Note Cards come in a 20-pack with envelopes in four colors: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Light Pink and Terracotta Tile. These cards are a CASE from the Annual Catalog.

I used the dashes die from the Stitched Labels Dies to create the perforations above the scalloped edge. On the edge of the inside, I used one of the stamps from Delightful Day to decorate. This is the light pink card and I used Calypso Coral ink. The flowers are stamped in Calypso Coral, the leaves in Old Olive, (colored in with my Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker). The little dots were colored over with a Chalk Marker.

There are several ways to get your Delightful Day stamp set:
Delightful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set 149466   $15.00

Delightful Day Tags Bundle  152864   $48.50

                                                        Delightful Day Bundle  15114   $34.00

I used Blueberry Bushel ink for the flowers and dots on this Balmy Blue card.

Embellished Magnolia

Fellow Pretty Pal Stesha Bloodhart made a square card much like the one above. My take on it is that I made a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card, placed my flower to the left rather than right, and I used some retiring Calypso Coral ribbon rather than the new Petal Pink Ribbon that I don't own yet.

I love using Shimmery White Card Stock for watercoloring because it takes the Aqua Painter much better than regular card stock, yet is not as heavy as water color paper for doing multiple layers. Plus it shines when you are finished!

My embellishments include Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8" Variegated ribbon (retiring soon! 148775  $8), Gold Metallic Pearls, Linen Thread and Magnolia Lane 3/8" Linen Ribbon. I think that the embellishments together with the super bloom just make this card very special.

Thanks for looking today! I hope you are inspired to create. Let me know if I can help you achieve your crafting goals.

Enjoy Today's Seasonal Layers

With the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog debuting in a few weeks, it's exciting seeing new products, sad to see some products retire, and thrilling to put the new and continuing products together.

Today's card has all three elements.

1.  The new: "Enjoy Today" from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. I have already made/shown several cards with this set. The background on the Whisper White oval is from the new Verdant Garden stamp set. I stamped the vines in Garden Green, then colored the leaves with Garden Green ink and my blender pen and the background with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker.

2. The retiring: The Brick Wall embossing folder is retiring. I love this folder, and I may just keep mine, however I will let you know that there is a new 3D Brick & Mortar folder debuting.

3.  The continuing:  Seasonal Layers Dies is what I used to make the beautiful branch with two-part flowers. Easy! No coloring, just layering.  Those two pieces of ribbon are also continuing and they are: 5/8" Burlap and Whisper White Flax ribbons.

Please let me know if you have any questions about my cards. I would love to see your comments, too!

When you are ready to place your order, you can use my Online Store. Get those retiring products by June 3rd.

Mother's Day Embellished Package and Tag

Yesterday I showed you the card I sent to my daughter for Mother's Day. She has three small kids and I'm so proud of the mom she is to them!

This is a lovely bar of soap (smells heavenly!) that came wrapped like this. I got it at a small gift shop in Santa Barbara, CA.  The colors are perfect for some of our inks and embellishments! I always have a box top with scraps of ribbon and little tags that didn't work out for a card. I simply grabbed some of the ribbons and put them all together to make this package look special. I tucked it into a small priority box with her card to ship to Hawai'i.

Happy Mother's Day to all of my Blog Readers! Please leave a comment so I know you were here!

Happy Mother's Day Sentimental Rose

One more (?) card with my April Paper Pumpkin, please! This was CASEd from Tammy C. Wilson. It uses the pre-cut blossom and leaves that were supposed to be the box topper to place on the clear box if you gave the set of cards as a gift.

This card was mailed inside a box to my daughter for Mother's Day. Come back tomorrow to see the gift I placed in the box!

I love all of the embellishments on this card and the banner shape instead of just a rectangle. Using up my last bit of ruffled ribbon--it retires! If you want some, order it NOW!

Purple Posy Sentimental Rose Thank You

The small flag behind the circles is from the April Paper Pumpkin Kit. I wrapped it with some leftover twine from an earlier Paper Pumpkin kit. I love using all of the embellishments at one time or another!

I hope you are not tired of seeing the April Paper Pumpkin stamp set Sentimental Rose yet! I am enjoying it and pretty soon it will be time to get my May Paper Pumpkin kit!

Above I combined the stamp images of the flower and leaves for my focal point. Underneath the smaller pieces is a layer of Whisper White card stock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Subtle Embossing Folder. It was stamped with one of the images from the stamp set using So Saffron and new In Color Purple Posy. The card base is also the new Purple Posy.

Did you know that the Gold Metallic Thread is retiring? :-(  Silver and Rose will still be offered. I've used up my last bits. If you want some, please order right away, as it may run out or go on back order.

"More Than One Score" with the Pals' May Blog Hop

Welcome the Pals' May Blog Hop. We're so glad you're here because we made some great projects with "More Than One Score." You may be starting the shop here or coming from a previous Pal's blog. Either way, you've come to the right place. You'll find the full line-up below to help you move , or "hop" along from Pal to Pal.

I've settled in with my Magnolia Lane Suite (available June 4) and now I'm cooking! I decided to use this suite for this month's hop. I made a 3-D easel card.

I think there is more than one  way to make one, but I used the easy method. One piece of card stock measures 11" x 4-1/4" and is scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2". The portion that is largest is the "bottom" part of the card where my striped paper is. The other piece of card stock is where the flower is and it measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".

This lovely 3-D Magnolia-looking flower was made using the Magnolia Memories dies. I used several whole "blooms" of various sizes and several torn petals from the pieces cut from Whisper White card stock. I then used a bone folder to curl the petals upward. I colored the centers using Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends and added those die cut center pieces in Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight card stock. In the very center are some Gold Metallic Pearls.

Here you can see the detail on the "stop" that lets the card stand up like an easel. It's several layers of card stock that are adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a sticker from the Magnolia Lane Specialty Memories and More Card Pack and more Metallic Pearls. My sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.

The easy-to-tie ribbon is from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack available June 4th

Here is the card folded like it would go in an envelope. However, with the flower as the art portion, I will have to hand deliver this beautiful creation.

I thank you for looking today and hope you will leave me a comment and ask any questions that you might have. I will answer them if you have your email attached to your comment.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month's Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they've created! Don't forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 12, 2019 when our Hoppin' Pals share their "Anything with Wings" projects. Don't miss the fun!

Enjoy Today with Good Morning Magnolia

I finally got a chance to check out all of the items in my Magnolia Lane Suite (debuts in the new Annual Catalog June 4) and I must admit I started slowly.

I began with that gorgeous flower "outline" cut from Petal Pink card stock using one of the dies. I positioned it over some Crumb Cake card stock and then cut it out using the Stitched Shapes oval. I placed it over a Petal Pink Stitched circle.

Next, I stamped a medium flower in Crumb Cake on Whisper White paper and colored it using markers I accidentally cut it out using paper snips! (duh-there is a perfect die to cut it out in the set!) "Enjoy Today" was stamped in Crumb Cake and I used the Classic Label punch to punch it out. It is set with dimensionals.

I chose one of the small prints from the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper and matted it with Mint Macaron Card stock onto a Petal Pink card base. I love how the Garden Lane DSP coordinates with the Magnolia Lane Suite. Lastly, I added some retiring Crumb Cake ribbon tied with a bow.

I hope you like my card, but mostly I hope you are inspired to take out your stamps, ink and paper and create your own cards! Let me know if you have any questions about making paper crafts.

Tea Together Mother's Day Card

I love everything about this CASEd card! This is the sample that is in the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, which is not available until June 4th. (See page 49 of the Occasions Catalog for the stamp set and more samples).

I used my Aqua Painter and pool of (Calypso Coral) ink for the flower petals and (Granny Apple Green) the leaves. The images were stamped with Jet Black Stazon onto Shimmery White card stock. This card stock works much better with watercoloring than the Whisper White card stock. Of course you can also use water color paper, but I find that it isn't as bright white as the Whisper White card stock.
Tea Together Cling Stamp Set148779
Price$22.00

(The Tea Time dies used to cut out the teapot, cup and saucer will be offered in the upcoming annual catalog. I got mine *free* as a Sale-A-Bration offering earlier in the year.)

I'm glad you came by today! I hope you have a wonderful day. Be sure to use my Online Store whenever you are ordering Stampin' Up! products. I'd love to be your designated demonstrator.

Daisy Lane Preview

Since I attend the Stampin' Up! On Stage, where demonstrators get together, I received this stamp set called Daisy Lane from the soon-coming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. That's right, a little sneak peek here! This is a card that I made as in the catalog.

Daisy Lane is a fun set, with large and medium close up daisy petals, the other daisy such as you see above in my background design and some stems, along with a few sentiments. I hope to make more cards using this set. The large daisy will easily be cut out with the Daisy Punch and the medium daisy will easily be cut out with the NEW Medium Daisy Punch which debuts on June 4th.

I hope you enjoyed looking! Please use my Online Store to order your products. Be sure to check out the Clearance Rack for special sale items available while supplies last.

Hold Onto Hope and His Grace Easter Card

Christ brought hope to the world by dying on the cross and at Easter and always, that is what I cherish as a Christian. This year my Easter card uses two Stampin' Up! stamp sets: His Grace (available through June 3) and Hold Onto Hope. The latter will still be available in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog that goes live June 4th.

I love Hold Onto Hope and it's coordinating Cross of Hope Framelits Dies. They make it easy to send a sweet card for encouragement or for the Easter Holiday.

Today's card was closely based on a card that was made by Glenda Calkins and I found it by using Pinterest and searching "His Grace."

Thanks for looking today! I hope you have a blessed Easter weekend.

Sending Thanks To You

I colored in the buds and leaves using Stampin' Write Markers

What I like about today's card is that it's a one-layer card in a way! There is one stamp directly on the card base, then two little words stamped onto the die from Stitched Labels.

I added a few sequins

My label has "thank" and "you" cut from Gold Foil Sheets using the Well Written Framelits Dies.

I hope you liked looking today! Please leave me a comment so I know you were here.

Only two weeks of Sale-A-Bration left, where you earn a free product from our brochure for EACH $5o you spend. Don't let this special time of year pass you by, shop today! Offer good through March 31st.

March Pals Blog Hop "Spring Has Sprung"

Welcome to the Pals’ March Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because ”Spring has Sprung” - at least on our blog hop if not outside! Our Design Team created beautiful projects to inspire you. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My card for this month's hop is Spring because it's an anniversary card for my husband, and we celebrate our wedding in the Spring. We are celebrating 39 years this week and I'm going to give him this card while we are out to a special dinner.

My card base is Fresh Fig with a Pear Pizzazz border. Inside the border is a print from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper. The small rectangle inset is Fresh Fig card stock, layered with another print from the DSP and topped with one of the beautiful vellum prints. The vellum cuts like a dream and you can't see the dots of liquid glue I used to adhere it to the paper.

I added a Fresh Fig Ruffled Trim knot and some of the leaves and sprigs using the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies and my Big Shot. For a little sparkle, I added some Wink of Stella on the Pear Pizzazz Leaves and the Petal Pink sprig. Then those sweet clear epoxy hearts were my finishing touch.

I hope you enjoyed my project for this month's hop! Please sign up to receive an email when I have a new blog post.
