Blog CaNdY to Celebrate My Blog Refresh!

I'm celebrating my blog refresh by showing this card, which I have named, "Oh, Happy Day!" I've been wanting to change up my blog for awhile, and I discovered that Patsy Waggoner, a very talented Stampin' Up! Demo, also designs blogs. She used her expertise to plug in my designs, which I created using My Digital Studio. 

I am NOT an MDS expert, but the banner and buttons were super easy to design. All the tools are in MDS, I just needed to know what the pixel parameters were and Patsy was so wonderful to help me do that part. She knows HTML code, so we made quite a pair. My blog looks brighter and cleaner, I think. I hope you like it.

Blog Candy, New Digs for the Pals Paper Arts AND...Spring Sneak Peek!

Happy New Year everyone! I'm starting the year off by offering a partial pack of Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. There are over 30 full sheets and I will also include all of my scraps, PLUS a surprise, too! These prints are not just for Christmas!! The stack was originally 48 sheets.

The Pals Paper Arts Team is proud to announce that we've given our blog and badge a refresh for 2013! We hope you will make a New Year's Resolution to play along with us twice per month. I have been itching to get into my card studio, but there has been zero time! I spent 12/31 putting away Christmas (4.5 hours!) Then ran to the post office to mail off Spring Catalogs and Sale-A-Bration brochures to my favorite customers!

After lunch I was able to start creating. There are so many ideas in my head, but so little time. Here is a peek at a *NEW* Designer Series Paper Stack, called "Print Poetry." (Available January 3, 2013) The colors in this pack are awesome: Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla.

• This quick and easy card began with a Crumb Cake base. Then a Very Vanilla matt, cut 4" x 5.25". 
• Next, the piece of Designer Series Paper from Print Poetry, cut to 3.75" x 5". 
• My sentiment is a Single Stamp from Perfectly Penned, inked in Midnight Muse and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. I ran a piece of Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon under the sentiment and over a rectangle of Vintage Wallpaper embossed Crumb Cake card stock. 
• I anchored the ribbon on the left side with a Designer Slide.

For New Year's Eve, my husband and I went out to an early dinner at our favorite restaurant, then snuggled up in our jammies with hot drinks and popcorn for a movie. Good morning! If you are like me, you do NOT do Black Friday! I like to stay in my jammies and sleep in for once! The idea for this house came to me while looking through a cookie catalog. I saw a house-shaped box that came with cookies inside.  Stampin' Up's Kraft Gift Box was the perfect place to begin designing.

What Would YOU Choose? And A Prize!

Hi Everyone! I'm glad to be back from a nice, relaxing weekend. I wanted to show you what you could earn with Hostess Benefits! My last hostess chose the Bigz Lattice Die and a package of Stampin' Dimensionals for her free merchandise. Because of Sale-A-Bration, she also earned 2 packages of In Color 8-1/2" x 11" paper, a package of Everyday Enchantment Designer paper AND the bonus reusable shopping tote!

Here you can see a closeup of the tag I made using the Dotted Swiss Embossing Folder and the Timeless Type Medium Sizzlits Dies and my Big Shot. I used scraps of random colored card stock for my letters. (I only wrapped up the Hostess gifts, not the Sale-A-Bration paper.)

Here is mine: My favorite Mother's Day gifts received were notes from my children telling me why they loved me. They cited things like "Thanks for always wanting to know where I was" or "Even though I didn't like it, I'm glad you had rules." They are all grown and can appreciate parenting a bit more now that they are "mature!" I truly cherish these special words that were heartfelt!
