Springtime Impressions Birthday

Another great thing about this layout is you only need half a sheet of the 6" x 6" designer series paper. You can use up a lot of scraps this way!

This card was made in the image of one that I received in a swap this summer. I'm sorry I do not know who had the original idea. The thing I loved about this card were the colors and the fact that I could use my Stamparatus tool to make any color ink embossed.

By stamping the sentiment first in two colors of ink using the Stamparatus, I could then clean off the stamp, re-ink with VersaMark, then use Clear Embossing Powder to heat emboss. The colors now have a shine to them and look raised.  The Stamparatus helps you place the VersaMark over the ink colors in EXACTLY the same spot you had stamped them. Genius!

Thanks for coming by today! I hope your weekend is wonderful.

Two Of My Favorite Things...

**Update: See the comments for measurements and brief instructions to make this tea bag and chocolate holder!

For the inaugural stamping session in my new craft studio, I invited 7 good friends to a tea. We crafted, then we had a tea luncheon and then we crafted some more! These are the favors that I made for each guest. (You can come back tomorrow to see the project each guest made - HINT: CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY CATALOG!)

I did use some retired products, but I'm really glad I still have them! I used the specialty paper that is behind my sentiment and decoration. It has rose gold accent "bubbles" all over it and my tableware was gold, white and pink. The decorations were made using Springtime Impressions Thinlits, Mini Treat Bag Thinlits for the "enjoy" (retired) and Sweet Cake Framelits for the Soft Sea Foam leaves. The vellum leaves were cut out using the Flourish Thinlits. The vellum stitched banner behind the "enjoy" is from the NEW Farmhouse Framelits Dies, which is available starting today!

I will be showing some festive Farmhouse projects when it gets closer to Christmas.

The inside of my tea party favor holds my favorite things - tea and chocolate! There is a Stash Earl Grey tea bag and a Ghirardelli chocolate square. YUM.

I'm celebrating the Holiday Catalog going LIVE today by putting together my order. I have some $5 coupon codes that I earned in August to help me save money. Don't forget to use your codes before they expire on September 30th!

New Way of Embossing

Here is a workshop card that I CASEd from Rhoda at Quick and Easy Crafter. The idea was for me to try the new Big Shot Embossing Mats in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog. These mats offer you more choices when using your dies and frailest. Instead of cutting, one of the mats allows you to only emboss the design. Here I used the Springtime Impressions Thinlits on either side of the card front inset. It made a lovely impression! To combat any cracking of the paper, I first embossed my paper using the Subtle 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This folder is named appropriately, since the texture it adds is very "subtle."

There's So Much To Love About You

This card was designed for my monthly Workshop this month. I love the colors in the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper! There are so many different combinations and types of prints. Of course they coordinate perfectly with the Abstract Impressions stamp set. I added an Ovals Collection frame for my sentiment and flower that is cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Some Night of Navy gingham ribbon tied in a bow and you have a very lovely card to give or send.

I adore these prints! What do you think? Don't forget to get your FREE Designer Series Paper pack by shopping my Online Store until July 31st.

Celebrate the Good Stuff

So sorry I have been absent. I have been busy because I completely remodeled my stamp space!  I took everything out of the room I was using and now it is fully equipped with wonderful storage and stamp space that is custom made! The only thing left is for me to move back into the room.

I have had a temporary space, so I have been creating, however I just haven't had time to blog. So today I am sharing a brand new card that I created this morning. I made my own Designer Series Paper by using three of the blooms from the Abstract Impressions stamp set and stamping them close together onto Whisper White card stock. I used So Saffron, Mango Melody and Night of Navy inks for the blooms.

After making the blooms, I stamped leaves using two of the leaf stamps and Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce inks. These colors are all in the Garden Impressions 6" x 6" Designer Series paper pack. I stamped some leaves onto my Everyday Label cut out and stamped a sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday using Night of Navy ink. I backed the punched piece using one of the Stitched Labels Framelits in Night of Navy.

That gorgeous butterfly is the main focus of the card front! It comes from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits and I added some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to it's body. I love this butterfly cut out in Mango Melody.

Thanks for looking today! I hope you are inspired. Please don't forget that until July 31st, when you purchase 3 packages of Designer Series Paper (see which ones qualify here) you get 1 FREE!! Use my Online Store any time.

Abstract Impressions Kindness and Love

These are my very first attempts using the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set, new in the Annual Catalog. To coordinate, Stampin' Up! has created this gorgeous Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper, which comes in an 8" x 8" stack. These are just two of the 24 different patterns in the pack, which has 48 sheets total and costs just $11.

You could create at least two cards from each sheet, that is almost 100 cards! Or get fancy and use larger pieces and coordinate different patterns together on one card. Use those little skinny scraps and the Classic Label punch for a fun background behind a sentiment.

This card is dressed up with the floral cut out (looks like lace) using the coordinating Springtime Impressions Thinlits. Oh, my! You hardly need anything else on the front of your card!

The star of this card is the beautiful butterfly using the same Springtime Impressions Thinlits. It easily makes a bold statement on this card. Dressed up with some Silver Faceted Gems it really delivers your greeting in style.

I love that Stampin' Up! provides all the tools we need to design beautiful projects like the cards above. When you are ready to bundle your savings, please use my Online Store and have your items shipped right to your door.
