You Choose--Which Card?

As I was making today's card, I could not decide if I should stamp the sentiment onto Very Vanilla OR onto Tangerine Tango. I really like how they each look, but absolutely do not know which one looks better. What do you think? I'd love to hear from you in the comments section.

I like how the Very Vanilla one looks because it's crisp. I like the way the flowers spill over onto the border. However....

... I like how bold the sentiment looks in Cherry Cobbler on Tangerine Tango.

While you are deciding which one YOU like better, don'tcha just love how you can create a border using almost any image, repeating it and cutting or punching it out? This card began with the idea to use the Pennant Parade flags as a border AND...

... these Celosia I plan to plant over the final resting place of our beloved pet. Corrie was our Shetland Sheepdog and we had to say goodbye to her over two years ago. We still miss her, (she was our "favorite girl dog") but she has a place in our hearts and in our yard. I try to keep annuals on her little corner at all times. I'll be planting these today!

I hope you enjoyed my cards today and that you will leave your comments below. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Jar

Hi Everyone! I've been taking it easy this past 10 days, but I'm back! I decorated this jar full of my home made granola for a friend's birthday. I try and make some sort of goodie for each of my best friends for their birthday. I began with one of the Framelits Labels, die cut in Melon Mambo, then run through the Lines Embossing Folder.

Next, I added some Scallop Circle punches from First Edition Designer Series Ppaer. I scrunched them up and put them together using an Antique Brad. I tied on a Jewelry Tag, with Melon Mambo-stamped "4 You" using Linen Thread. I also tied on a snippet of Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon. This photo makes the jar look small, but it is about twice the size of a regular baby food jar.

The words "homemade granola" are written on a Modern Label punched out in Baja Breeze.

Thanks for looking! I hope you will leave your comments below--I love reading them!

PPA136 Color Challenge

It's time for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. This time we used Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White. This is perfect for a young woman I know who is going into the military.

I "deployed" my Betsy's Blooms Stampin' Wheel and inked it up with Real Red. I didn't have a Real Red ink cartridge, but for stamping just across this card, I rolled it over and over my Real Red ink pad and it worked just fine. If you were  to roll a longer design, you would definitely need an ink cartridge.

My Night of Navy matt is lined using the Lines embossing folder in my Big Shot. On top of that, I layered my blooms, and some circles. On the left I stamped from the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set one of the flower groupings in Night of Navy. I punched it out with a 1" circle and matted it with a 1-1/4" Real Red circle.

The middle circle is one of those same blooms from circle #1, punched with one of the Itty Bitty Shapes punch. It's adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional over the large Real Red stamped bloom. I punched the bloom using a 1-1/4" circle punch and matting with a 1-3/8" circle punch in Night of Navy. Lastly, it's mounted onto a Scallop Circle, punched from Whisper White card stock.

For the sentiment, I stamped a Real Red circle from Circle Circus (one of my FAV sets), then stamped in Night of Navy ink using Fabulous Phrases "Best Wishes." This was then punched out with a 1-3/8" circle punch. All three circles were playfully placed using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you will use our colors for inspiration and make your own card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and upload it to play along with Pals Paper Arts

Please leave your comments below. I love to read them all! If you have any questions, please email me.
