Pumpkin Happy Birthday Squares

Happy Thursday! I hope you are having an exceptional week. I made a bunch of fun fold cards last month and I had these little squares of All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper left over and sitting on my work table. I matted three of them, stamped a sentiment from Very Best Occasions stamp set and there began the journey to finishing this card.

I also had strips of the same paper left over and I decided to fold it on itself like a ribbon, accordion-style, for a little decoration across the bottom. I added three Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins in the corner. All of my design was adhered to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock that I ran through my Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine and the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

I hope you enjoy looking at my creation. Please let me know if you have any questions. Don't forget about the 35th Anniversary Starter Kit Promotion. Details below.

It's August! Time for the Holiday Mini and Sale-A-Bration!

This card was inspired by a Mary Fish creation, but here I used a new stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog, which goes live TODAY! The stamp set is called "Little Delights" and it packs a punch because at it's price of only $16, you get both sentiments and images for popular holidays: Birthday, Thank You, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. And that font! It stamps so crisp and clean.

Here I simply used one of the "branches" dipped in Pacific Point ink and made a background piece by repeatedly stamping. My sentiment is popped up with a layer of vellum card stock underneath and then I added those cute little party hats that I stamped and snipped with Paper Snips. They are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly, I added some bling with our Basic Rhinestones.

Masculine Happy Birthday

Quick and easy card. This could be used for Father's Day or any guy greeting. I used the retired stamp set "Guy Greetings". I keep it because it has such clean sentiments and fun images. I paired it with the colorful print from Country Club Designer Series Paper, which is from the latest mini catalog.

Thanks for stopping by everyone! I appreciate your comments and would love if you ordered from me. I'm so pleased that Stampin' Up! staggered their hours for shipping so they could continue to fill our orders so far through the pandemic.

Have a blessed day.

Well Said Happy Birthday

My friend Su Mohr created a cute card using the sketch above. I substituted in my own Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper and sentiment for hers and I love the results. I made other cards with other sentiments and began using up old papers that are gathering dust!

I love the mix of neutral colors with pastels here: Gray Granite, Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink. See that I used a teeny scrap of the Soft Sea Foam print from the pack to die cut that cute little birdie? It's from the Well Written Framelits that perfectly coordinate with the Well Said stamp set. Buy the stamp set and framelits bundled and save 10%, plus qualify for one free item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Father's Day with True Gentleman Guy Greetings

More Guy Greetings with the sentiment here. This is probably the last card I will make using the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper. Mostly because I gave away the rest of my pieces as a prize at my Workshop this week. I love the colors and the "guy" patterns on this paper. It will be sorely missed!

Notice my faux button in Early Espresso? It solves the problem of mailing a card with a button, which I've been having a lot of trouble with at the post office. The cards arrive just fine, but the clerks don't want to let them get mailed using the non-machinable stamp! So I have found a very polite post office and I simply wait in line and ask them to hand stamp my envelopes, but I have cut back on the number of those I send out.

I hope you enjoyed looking today. Please let me know if you have any questions about my cards or other projects.

FREE Lots of Lavender!

Some of my favorite things about Stampin' Up! are their quality products and the way they show you how to use them! This is a catalog CASE from page 8 in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I used my FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Lots of Lavender.

147194 Lots of Lavender  $0  FREE!! with any $50 purchase

Sale-A- Bration time is the best time of the year because any time you purchase any $50 in product, you choose a free item. No limits! And this year, Stampin' Up! has added a couple of $100 purchase items to the options. So, now is the time to dig out your wishlist and make your purchases!

I love the layers on this card and the use of the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog. The paper is a little thicker than our regular DSP and is TWO-sided, with one foil design on each of the 12 sheets. I'll be hard-pressed to choose which sides to use.

My sentiment is from the Party Hat Birthday stamp set--what a fun set! I haven't begun to play with it yet!

Birthday Cake Greetings

I started this card by choosing the stamp set Build a Birthday. I haven't had a chance to use it much yet. I chose the colors for my cake layers and plate: Watermelon Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo, Crushed Curry.

After choosing stamp set and ink colors, it was a "piece of cake!" to finish my card. The sentiment "birthday wishes" is stamped in Basic Gray. I used an Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write Marker to outline the scallops on the cake plate. I added a line of Basic Rhinestones to the plate edge as well just for fun!

I hope you enjoyed looking today! Won't you leave me a comment? I love knowing someone is actually reading/looking at my blog!

Happy Birthday! Celebrate!

This card is for my Aunt who lives in New Jersey. I hope it gets there in time with the weather they are having! Even if it's late, when she sees this happy, party-like card, she will smile!

I used Sale-A-Bration *free* stamp set Big Day for the sentiment. I used the three sentiment stamps in a vertical row, then colored them and made a banner of the strip. It's a copy of one in the Sale-A-Bration brochure, page 13.

What are you waiting for? Get your free products for each $50 purchase now through March 31st. No limits! There are plenty of items to choose from, so pick yours now. Use my Online Store to order.

Winner!

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week. Before I announce the winner of the card giveaway, I want to introduce my card for the day!

I Pacific Point because it reminds me of the ocean and I live near the Pacific. The white on Pacific Point print on the bottom layer is from International Bazaar (retired) designer series paper. The next layer is from the Brights Stack (retired).

I used the cupcake liner (upside down) from Create a Cupcake. I stamped it in Pacific Point. The Happy Birthday cake is from Bring on the Cake. I used my Pacific Point Stampin' Write Marker to color the candles, cake and stand. I used Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker to color the flames.

The sentiment "celebrate" comes from the Express Yourself (hostess) set. There are so many sentiments in that set, you will want to have it in your stash for some time to come. The script writing is so elegant!

NOW FOR THE WINNER of the card from Monday: Rosalie!!

Anonymous rosalie said...

More Sneak Peeks!

Hi! I hope your weekend is going well. I wanted to show you some more sneak peeks from the new catalog! I used a pattern from the *new* Quatrefancy Designer Specialty Paper. It's in one of the *new* In Colors: Strawberry Slush. I love the name just as much as the color!

Also *new* is this lovely Very Vintage Designer Button. I love mixing vintage and modern, so I put the Stawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight (Floral Fusion die-cut) petals behind the button. The layered flower is a header for the "Happy Birthday" sentiment ("From My Heart") stamped in Pumpkin Pie onto a Whisper White Decorative Label.

Won't you leave me a comment below? I love to know what you think of my cards and are you excited for the new items??
