Erica Cerwin did a Facebook Live and showed how to make this card a couple of weeks ago. It is not a card I would repeat! It's very hard to get those strips lined up and glued down at the same time. I feel like it ended up a little lopsided, but I know our Veteran son will not care if it's a little crooked.
Truth be told, this was my THIRD attempt! I just couldn't figure out how to get those strips to stay on one side while I weaved and glued on the other. But, I'm glad I persevered because the result is very nice.
I used the purse strap from the All Dressed Dies, but you could cut your own strips of any width to accomplish the same pattern.
I call this a pocket card, and the inside panel is perfect for writing your own sentiment. I will be thanking our son for his continued service to our country. Do you have a favorite Veteran? Why not say "thank you" tomorrow?

This card is a CASE from Mary Fish. She is my Stampin' Up! upline and friend. You can see her original card here .
I basically used her idea of letting foil card stock show through a die cut panel.
To get more use from my 12" x 12" Silver Foil Specialty sheet, I cut it into nine 4" x 4" squares and adhered them to the regular card bases (cut 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2"), then die cut a slightly smaller Basic White square using the Intricate Leaves Dies.
Next, I stamped the sentiment from Little Delights using VersaMark and Silver Embossing powder and heat embossed it. I popped this piece up using Stampin' Dimensionals and then added a Silver Simply Elegant Trim bow.
To finish I added a strip of Beauty of the Earth Designer Series paper to the bottom of the card.
Make sure you use the Dimensionals near the cut out as well as on the edges.

I made another card to demonstrate the versatility of the Little Delights stamp set. This one is a card that was inspired by the layout of a card I received from my friend, Shannon Jaramillo at Shannon Kay Paperie.
The first three layers of this card resemble Shannon's layout, but I used different colors and paper. The leaves, Suede Ribbon and Sentiment tag are all my own ideas. I know this card could be a very lovely Thanksgiving card, or could be used for any time you want to let someone know how special they are to you. Imagine the papers you could use and embellishments that compliment them. This is just a starting point!

This card was inspired by a Mary Fish creation, but here I used a new stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog, which goes live TODAY! The stamp set is called "Little Delights" and it packs a punch because at it's price of only $16, you get both sentiments and images for popular holidays: Birthday, Thank You, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. And that font! It stamps so crisp and clean.
Here I simply used one of the "branches" dipped in Pacific Point ink and made a background piece by repeatedly stamping. My sentiment is popped up with a layer of vellum card stock underneath and then I added those cute little party hats that I stamped and snipped with Paper Snips. They are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly, I added some bling with our Basic Rhinestones.
