Purple Posy Sentimental Rose Thank You

The small flag behind the circles is from the April Paper Pumpkin Kit. I wrapped it with some leftover twine from an earlier Paper Pumpkin kit. I love using all of the embellishments at one time or another!

I hope you are not tired of seeing the April Paper Pumpkin stamp set Sentimental Rose yet! I am enjoying it and pretty soon it will be time to get my May Paper Pumpkin kit!

Above I combined the stamp images of the flower and leaves for my focal point. Underneath the smaller pieces is a layer of Whisper White card stock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Subtle Embossing Folder. It was stamped with one of the images from the stamp set using So Saffron and new In Color Purple Posy. The card base is also the new Purple Posy.

Did you know that the Gold Metallic Thread is retiring? :-(  Silver and Rose will still be offered. I've used up my last bits. If you want some, please order right away, as it may run out or go on back order.

Pop Up Gift Card Holders

Julie Salva taught me how to make this fun pop up gift card holder. It can be used for any occasion by switching out the Designer Series Paper. Add frills or leave it plain. Works for anyone, any age!

Here is how it looks when you open it up. Gift cards (and the holders they come on, if you wish) fit right inside the slot.

This one didn't even need a stamp! I love it!

I was going for the elegant look on this one :-)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are inspired. I hope to post more cards coming up soon!

Sympathy Card for PPA288

I had a great time using Amy Lazzell's sketch at Pals Paper Arts this week! I hope you will give it a try. There are so many stamp sentiments that could have fit into a circle for this card. I hardly ever had a sympathy card sitting around, and I find timing is of the essence when you want to send one, so I thought I'd make one ahead of need for once!

To take my circle sentiment to the next level, I added tiny blooms from Botanicals for You and then used my clear Wink of Stella to give them some sparkle. A tiny pearl went into the middle of each. The beautiful Mint Macaron matches one of the many colors in the floral Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and adds a little richness and an antique look.

I am glad you came by today. I hope you will leave me a comment. They make me smile.

Father's Day CASE and 50% Off Paper Pumpkin Offer

Linda Aarhus made a Father's Day card awhile back and I loved her tie idea, so I made my own version. I love how those little prints make great ties! I used some retired scraps and I have no idea which prints they are, since they were all in a big stack with no labels. My accent colors are Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.

I had to order some of those cute hangers, which come in the retiring "Hung Up Cute Clips" assortment. They are so cute!

I made the above graphic using the neat card that comes in the Paper Pumpkin kit each month. I backed it with a piece of the new Tangelo Twist card stock.  I've been loving my kits, since they allow me to complete a project in very little time. All of the "ingredients" are in the box and make it easy to grab your adhesive and scissors and take them with you on a trip or to craft with a friend. Last month's offering was a cute 4 x 4" frame that you could have used for a Mother's Day gift. This month's kit has a Father's Day-themed stamp.

Did you know you can enjoy Stampin' Up's subscription kit program -- each month a fully-designed project arrives in a delightful box filled with stamps, ink, and paper-everything cut and ready to go. Purchase the Try-It Kit or prepaid subscriptions here. If you'd like to sign up for a month-to-month subscription, visit mypaperpumpkin.com You can even order extra kits if you love to give away your craft projects and keep one for yourself! Simple Thanks and Trust

This card began with simple ideas. I wanted to use a medium-patterned background, frame it in Whisper White and use a Tea Lace Doily. Everything beyond those ideas came as I was making the card. Tomorrow I will show you the ramped up version using the same ideas as starters. I am very pleased with both of the cards. I always need cards to send as encouragements and this one fits the bill!

Thank you for looking today. I hope you will leave your comments below and come back tomorrow to see how I went the extra mile on my second card.

Thanks and Trust Card Supplies:
Card Stock: Soft Sky, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Designer Series Paper: Sweater Weather (Holiday Catalog-Retired)
Stamps: Trust God
Ink: Soft Suede, Soft Sky
Big Shot: Circles Collection Framelits
Punch: 2-3/8" Scallop Circle
Embellishments: Tea Lace Doily
