Thinking of You in Water Color Wash

I love how the ink wash shows in different tones

Happy Thursday! Here is a card I made with a 3"x3" piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (149612). Using the paper this way, you can get 6 cards from one sheet.

I stamped the images from Sweet Conversations (157618 January - June Mini Catalog) stamp set in VersaMark and heat embossed it using White Stampin' Emboss Powder (155554 set of 3 colors).

Next, I brushed some Petal Pink ink over the images using a Water Painter (151298 set of 3). After I let it dry, it was added to my card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I cut a length of White 3/4" Frayed Ribbon (158138 January - June Mini Catalog), frayed one end and then draped it over the left side of the square panel and secured it with Glue Dots.

All those gorgeous Basic Pearls were added to a Crumb Cake border piece cut using the Peony Die Cuts (152701).

Sentiment is from Art Gallery stamp set (154421).

Prized Peony Thinking of You

Today's project is a card with matching box. I learned how to make the card and blessing box from Ronda Wade at Creating for Christ. Over the weekend, she had a live video to celebrate World Card Making Day. I made my card just like hers, but with a different sentiment. The box has a different decoration and sentiment than her box.

Inside the box lid is a little saying printed out from the CFC Facebook page. I plan on putting a chocolate treat in here for a special friend I'm seeing this week. The card will go to another special friend.

Thinking of You With All My Heart

I found I got the best results in inking the circles by using a "toothbrush handled make up brush".

Hey everyone! Thanks for coming by today. This card was made using the leftover piece of vellum after punching out circles. The sheet of circles came in the September 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit. I just made the contents of the kit (I'm late to that party!) and I saw a tutorial of someone who made alternatives and she used her leftover sheet to make a card front, so I was inspired.

I love the variation in the colors that the sponging gives each circle. I used Pumpkin Pie ink on Very Vanilla card stock.

I love to read your comments, so please do leave one! If you need any Stampin' Up! supplies, please use my Online Store.

Embellished Magnolia

Fellow Pretty Pal Stesha Bloodhart made a square card much like the one above. My take on it is that I made a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card, placed my flower to the left rather than right, and I used some retiring Calypso Coral ribbon rather than the new Petal Pink Ribbon that I don't own yet.

I love using Shimmery White Card Stock for watercoloring because it takes the Aqua Painter much better than regular card stock, yet is not as heavy as water color paper for doing multiple layers. Plus it shines when you are finished!

My embellishments include Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8" Variegated ribbon (retiring soon! 148775  $8), Gold Metallic Pearls, Linen Thread and Magnolia Lane 3/8" Linen Ribbon. I think that the embellishments together with the super bloom just make this card very special.

Wonderful Romance Thinking of You

Today's card is a CASE of a card from Eva at I Love To Stamp. I added a larger border of the Grapefruit Grove Foil paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I also attached my ribbon, twine and seal differently so that they didn't extend beyond the card edge.

Here is a close up of the special elements on the card.
I used the Wonderful Romance stamp set to stamp this card. One large image, a few little dots and a cut out and the stamping is all done. Embellishments follow and you have a WOW card.

Sweet Thinking of You with Wonderful Romance

This card was so fun to make, although it did take longer than many of my usual cards. I was trying all kinds of things with my new Wonderful Romance stamp set and coordinating Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies. And of course, the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper goes right along with the stamps and framelits!

The beautiful and easy-to-tie Petal Pink Variegated Ribbon makes a perfect bow.
I used the ribbon to "tie" the bouquet together. I added those sweet little Gingham Gala Adhesive-backed Sequins to the middle of the stamped flowers. The leaves are cut using the die set and I added some sparkle by brushing on Wink of Stella. I tucked one tiny sprig cut from vellum into the bouquet.

I hope you liked looking at my creation today! Don't forget to leave me a comment. I love to read each one. Sign up to receive my blog post updates straight into your mailbox.

Thinking of You with Frosted Floral

It may be hard to see in the photo, but the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Paper is so beautiful in person! I would highly recommend having this stack of paper in your stash. It's colorful and elegant and is loaded with prints that are not all floral!

Frosted Floral 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 Cm) Specialty Designer Series Paper147800
Price$14.00
Colors in the paper are: Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride, Gray Granite, Merry Merlot, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Pineapple Punch, Powder Pink, Soft Sea Foam, Soft Suede, Tranquil Tide

I paired my paper with the Warm Hearted Host stamp set and the lovely leaves from the Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies. Those accents are the slightly sparkly Gold Faceted Gems. Lying flat across the card are snippets of Burlap Ribbon and Lace Trim. I used my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker to color in the letters on my sentiment.

Petal Burst Thinking of You

Whenever new stamp sets come out, I always need ideas on what to do with them! Since the preview of Colorful Seasons began on May 1st, I have seen a lot of beautiful cards on Pinterest, Splitcoast and private galleries. This is one of my favorites by Butterflysandbows by Michel Jutrisa.

For the sentiment, she stamped it in two increments so it came out in two lines rather than the one line it is on the stamp. Easily done because the stamp is Photopolymer, so you can see just where the stamp is on the pad. Don't forget to clean your stamp in between times and make sure it's dry before you stamp the second time!

Sending Butterfly Wishes

Butterfly Basics stamp set is a great set that can give you many different looks on your cards or scrap book pages. I also like it because the sentiment "sending wishes your way" could be sent for many different occasions. I love the above example by Debbie Crowley (expressivelydeb.com). It's very quick to put together, yet lends itself to give to someone very special!

Making this card using different color schemes would be fun. Make a set of all different colors to give as a gift!

Pals Paper Arts Sketch #194

At first I didn't know what to do with these colors. I sat down and knew my base would be Night of Navy and that I would be making a Scalloped Tag Topper card. Everything else came to me. I hadn't used my brand new Peaceful Petals stamp set yet. (It's part of Ann Schach's Lesson of the Month for February--I'll be doing my lesson later on in March)

I thought of cutting out the leaves in Smoky Slate, but then I noticed the beautiful leaves in this stamp set and thought they would look nice stamped in Smoky Slate onto Smoky Slate card stock. Then I used my Petite Petals stamps and my Petite Petals Punch and decorated those stems. Each stamped flower was backed with a punched flower in Wisteria Wonder.

I decided to make a dotted line toward the middle of the card so I can see where my writing needs to end. I don't want it to show when the card is closed. The "Thinking of You" sentiment is also from Peaceful Petals, and it shows when the card is tied closed using Silver 1/8" ribbon.

I hope you like what I made today. Won't you please leave a comment for me? Thank you! Have a great day!!
