Happy 4th Treat Bags

The letters were cut from designer paper using the Large Letters Dies

I used some retired Treat Bags (they come flat) to create this stand up bag to hold some red, white and blue M & Ms. I gave these as a treat to my June Workshop attendees. I always try and give them a little treat or something wrapped with or made of paper because that is what I love to do!

Look how that gold on the bag shines! I added some silver crinkle fluff on top of the candy bags inside to sort of look like firecrackers.

by scoring the flat bag at 3/4" top to bottom on the L and R, and 1" on the bottom, you can create a standing bag

Nugget Firecrackers

Yesterday I showed you a #freedom card made using the scraps from this project. I found the idea for this shape of treat giveaway on Pinterest, thanks to Kay Cogbill.

There is a very thin strip of card stock between the nuggets that is topped with two stars. (I used Tear and Tape to secure the candies together and catch the 1/16" star wand. 

I made my own paper by stamping on Very Vanilla card stock. I cut the paper into 1" strips and wrapped them around two Hershey Nugget candies.

I used the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set. Two of the candles were my firecrackers, and the sprinkles and baby triangles were my sparks. I used Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler inks to stamp.

#Freedom

I found myself with this "window" sitting on my desk, I decided to make a shaker card. Now, I am not very good at making them! But I had an idea for using all these negative star strips left over from another project (you will see tomorrow). Also, the print behind the window is leftover (from same project) 1" strips of designer series paper that I created myself. I used the Perfect Birthday candles and confetti to look like firecrackers. They are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy ink.

The card is for my son, whose favorite holiday is 4th of July.

Also looks very nice in Black and White! 

It's a good thing that I don't make more than one 4th of July card! This one took quite awhile and I would not have been able to duplicate it over and over without going a little crazy!

Heartfelt Sympathy

Sympathy cards are hard cards to make. I rarely have one handy, as I prefer to make them especially for the specific person I'm sending them to. In this case, two of my friends lost loved ones in the recent weeks, so I made two of the same beautiful card.

It's not hard to put together a lovely card when you begin with the Detailed Floral Thinlits. They MAKE this card what it is. My standby Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set completes the card. In the middle I used the Smoky Slate gingham ribbon for a beautiful bow. The Basic Pearls and Clear Faceted Gems complete the elegant look.

Red, White and Blue

 This is a gift card holder suitable for a birthday near our celebration of Independence Day. I turned the stamp from You're So Sweet so my "hello" would be more vertical than horizontal. Isn't that clever? Well, not really because I really didn't notice which way it was displayed in the catalog :-)

 

Inside the image, I placed a Tempting Turquoise Medium Star (created with the Medium Star Punch) and then threw a line of Rhinestones across the middle for interest. My square is rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder.  A bit of Tempting Turquoise Baker's Twine holds the tag onto the Silver 1/8" ribbon. (Twine leftover from a Paper Pumpkin from long ago).

My bag is made from Glassine Paper and the Mini Treat Bag Framelits and Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added a piece of Real Red card stock, whose upper edge was cut using the Mini Treat Bag Framelits also.

4th of July Favors

Super simple 4th of July party favor! I found these red, white and blue candy corns at the grocery store. I put them into a cello bag, tied it with Gold Baker's Twine and made a tag.

My tag is a Real Red Four Frames image with a Something to Say star in Pacific Point. The star is punched out using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. I adorned it with a Basic Rhinestone. "Happy 4th" is stamped in Real Red using the Rotary Alphabet Stamp. I love this stamp! You can "write" anything! Boom! Happy 4th!

Independence Day Celebration - PPA162 Color Challenge

Today is the day we celebrate a free America. I am so thankful for each person who has stepped up and defended our freedom for over 200 years! 

I don't want to neglect to thank those who serve today, so this card goes out to Maggie Mata, a military Stampin' Up! demonstrator and member of the Pretty Pals with us! She is serving oversees right now and I am proud to know her and call her a Pal.

I save all of my "patriotic" stamps, so this sentiment comes from a retired set called Service and Sacrifice -- it says it perfectly.

Baby Wear - Fourth of July

I'm on my way to meet my granddaughter today! I made this for her first 4th of July. This onesie has stripes of mini-rick rack fabric-glued onto the front. Then I added a bow and a knot in blue and white gingham ribbon. I got the idea from Pinterest. 

The tag is a Chalk Talk Framelit that I stamped using the retired Beyond Plaid stamp set. I simply used a Real Red marker to highlight every other stripe on one of the patterned stamps. I added a blue star image from another retired stamp set and then tied the tag with a Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine bow. Washing instructions were written on the back of the tag.
