Birthday Balloons with Honeycomb Embellishments

Remembering Your Birthday Stamp set sentiment is stamped one word above the other by using Stampin' Write Markers in Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron.

The balloons are created using the same markers to draw strings with our Honeycomb Embellishments as the balloons.

I slipped a Bow Paper Clip onto a tiny piece of Whisper White card stock. Next I trimmed it to the shape of the bow using Paper Snips. Then I added Dazzling Diamonds inside each of the spaces created by the clip. I added it to my card using Stampin' Dimensionals cut into small pieces.

140599 Bow Paper Clips $5.50

Remembering Your Birthday   131350   Clear Mount   $18

Qty 12 (4 each of 3 colors) Honeycomb Embellishments 140566 $5

I'm so glad you stopped by today to see my card. Won't you please leave me a comment? I'd love to hear what you think of my creation. Have I inspired you to make a card? :-)

I love the sentiment from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set, because it is just perfect for this card, which was late! I did remember...

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Won't you please take a few seconds to leave me a comment? They make my day.

Happy Birthday Wishes for PPA262

How is your summer going? It's whizzing by too fast for me! I hope you will join me and Design Team Pals Paper Arts  this week for our Color Challenge.
I'm in need of birthday cards and cards to demonstrate at my next workshop, so I combined those two needs with the colors and here is what I came up with.

Here you can see that I stamped a row of dotted hexagon shapes from Six-Sided Sampler using the challenge colors. Next I used the same colors with another image from the same set and then punched them out using the Hexagon Punch. I popped them up using Stampin' Dimensionals, placing them just below my previous stamping. I used one neutral-colored Designer Button and tied on some Whisper White Baker's Twine for some fun dimension.

What do you think? I welcome your comments!!

Belated Birthday

When I forget a birthday, I make a special card to try and make up for my oversight! This card is special because it's sweet (see the candy?) and it's bright (see those rhinestones sparkle?) and it's colorful (note those new In Colors)!

I am loving using the 2015-2017 In Colors, Banner Triple Punch, Cherry on Top DSP Stack (sheets are 8 x 8!) and you will, too! Those and more will be available for purchase on June 2nd. It's coming up fast! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek, used with a current stamp set "Remembering Your Birthday."

Thank you for your comments! They make blogging worthwhile! When you order Stampin' Up! use my Online Store.

New Adventures

Our son moved out of state a couple of weeks ago. I wanted one of my hand made cards to be the first thing he received in his new place. (The post office had other ideas, and it still hasn't arrived or been sent back).

I think it's brave to move to a new state where you don't know a soul, to a new job that requires some training. There is so much uncertainty and I know he's up for the challenge. That's worth celebrating!

Please leave your comments below. You can order your Stampin' Up! any time by using my Online Store.

Did you know that Paper Pumpkin is on SALE? Wouldn't you love to take some "me" time this summer and create from a little box that arrives at your doorstep ready to go? Click here for more information. I'd love you to join my list of subscribers!

Here is another fun card from a recent Workshop. I used the Bow Builder Punch and the Modern Label punch. My sentiment is from Remembering Your Birthday. I earned this stamp set *free*as an incentive. (When you are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, there are many opportunities to earn free stamps or supplies and you always receive a discount on what you buy).

Another fun thing about being a demo is you get to preview all of the new products before they are released to everyone! There is much chatter and fun during a preview month!! If you have any questions about signing up for your freebies and discounts, please contact me!

Back to my card! The Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper has a couple of sheets that are special because they have some gold on them. The background paper for my bows is one of the prints that is special. I love how the papers coordinate and make for a very colorful card. To make the bows, simply punch out two sets of of the bow pieces and glue ends together. There are many videos on You Tube if you need further instruction. They are tedious but not hard at all and they look SO cute. Even when punched from card stock, they are adorable on a candy bar, box or any little gift you may be giving. You CAN mail this card, but of course your bows will lay more flat than if you hand carry the card.

Birthday Bags

I'm showing these cute gift bags so you can see how versatile they are. I used the same color scheme to decorate them, but they are very different. On the left I used our Cherry Cobbler Striped Grosgrain ribbon as my base to secure the bag closed. On top of that I used a print in Cherry Cobbler from the Trim The Tree Designer Series Paper Stack. I cut it out using the Chalk Talk Framelits and my Big Shot. On top of that I stamped my sentiment using the Remembering Your Birthday ("happy birthday") and Merry Little Christmas (retired--"have yourself a" and flourishes). I colored the stamps using Stampin' Write Markers and then cut the out using a different Chalk Talk Framelit. The bow is Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.

The second bag was secured using Basic Black Chevron Ribbon. On top of that I used a Basic Black Chalk Talk tag. My sentiment is from Chalk Talk and I stamped it in VersaMark and heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder. The bow is Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon (A DREAM TO TIE!!) that is decorated with a Vintage Faceted button tied with Linen Thread.

These Polka Dot Tag a Bags are in your Annual Catalog, page 201, and sell for $3.95 for 10 (135503). They are so handy to have around to quickly wrap a gift! To add some bags to your order, just use my Online Store.

I look forward to each and every comment, so won't you leave one below? Thank you!

Last Workshop Share

The third card from my Workshop last week is this one. I had the gals make it in two different colors, as I only had the In Color sample pack of card stock, so a limited amount of each color. I chose some colors that could be used as masculine colors. This one is Lost Lagoon. The designer paper is from Back to Black.

Here are the two versions we made.

I realized that this Mossy Meadow looks like what I would call "Army Green." So I hope that this Memorial Day you are remembering those who have served our country and gave their all. And "thank you" to the families that supported them.
