Seize the Cake for PPA294

This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge is a fun sketch by Design Team Member Dawn Tidd.

The sketch inspired me to make a Clean and Simple birthday card. I really wanted to use my Metallic Glitter Tape (free from the Sale-A-Bration brochure) for a little sparkle on this cheerful birthday card. It was so easy to lay across my Love Blossoms Designer Series DSP and a perfect platform for the heart from Mini Treat Bag Thinlits which holds my stamped sentiment.

I added the teeny flower stamped from Something to Say and punched out using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. An enamel dot leftover from Christmas time is perfect in the center of the flower.

#134177 Wood Mount $30

I'd love to know what you think of my card. Won't you take a few seconds to leave a comment? I love to read them all.

Let me know if you have any questions I can answer about card-making with Stampin' Up!  You can order your own products using my Online Store.

Today is the last day to order and receive one Sale-A-Bration item for each $50 in products. No limits on how many products you can earn!

Lovely Lacy Valentine Favors

This tea bag/chocolate holder is what I made for about 7 special friends this Valentine's Day. I got this idea from Ann Schach a couple of years ago. I used the retired Tea Party stamp set. I changed the color scheme and the embossing folder for the Blushing Bride panel.

Inside you can see that I folded a piece of 6 x 6" Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper in half, glued it along the bottom (using up just 3/8" space). Then I cut out the half circle shapes using a Circle Punch. Chocolate on the left, tea bag on the right!

Thanks for stopping by! I love to read comments, so won't you please leave one? If you would like the dimensions I cut my papers from, please email me: patimac1980@yahoo.com

Love is in the Air for PPA284

Welcome to this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge. This week's sketch is brought to you by Maggie Mata at Maggie Made Cards. I hope you will check out her blog and her style!

The bow from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits is shimmering from Clear Wink of Stella

In the close up, you can see that I smudged my heart background onto the Melon Mambo card and the half-heart Doily (from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit) using Melon Mambo ink and the Hearts Decorative Mask. It matches the heart theme on the Crumb Cake from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack.

The sentiment is from the Bloomin' Love stamp set. I used two different inks, stamping one at a time and perfectly lining the image up. This is why I love photopolymer stamps!

Thank you for visiting today. Don't forget to see what the other Design Team Members have for you at the Pals site. You are in for a treat!

Wedding Shower Tag

Wedding Shower Gift Tag
I went to a wedding shower last weekend and I created a tag for my gift using the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits Die and Gold Foil Paper. My Hearts Collection Framelits (retired) perfectly cut a heart background from Blushing Bride (appropriate name!) Glimmer Paper.

Close up showing shiny foil and sparkly Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper
The Pink Pearls, string of pearls, sequins and Blushing Bride Satin Ribbon come from the Love Blossoms Embellishments Kit. The sentiment is from Tin of Cards and is embossed using White Embossing Powder. The heart shape is cut using the heart from Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.

The tissue is really gold, but shows yellow in the photo.
Here is how the tag looked on the bag. Sorry, the bag doesn't fit into my light box for a better photo!

This is a photo of the bouquet that will be used for the rehearsal.  (You can see my tag peeking out underneath). All of the bows and tissue paper from the shower gifts were carefully put together. Isn't it lovely?

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you will come back soon. I hope you leave a comment for me--I love to read each one!
