September Pals Blog Hop! Join Us!

Welcome to the September Pals Blog Hop. This month we are showing off our favorite new products from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. We hope you enjoy our projects!

You may just be starting the hop or may have come from Kathy McGloin at Just Fun Stamping, #9 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you can see all of the amazing creations.

My daughter and her family just moved into a new place. Of course I had to make them a card! I used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set from the new Holiday Catalog. Most of the work is done for you because the wreath is stamped in three parts. All you have to do is decide what colors to use. The sign for the door that says, "A New Home" was made using the Alphabet Rotary Stamp and Neutrals Candy Dots.

I chose to hang my wreath on a "door" with a window. I made my door from Early Espresso card stock which gets is woodgrain from the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. Next, I cut a large oval from the top of the door using the Oval Punch. I cut two 1/8" strips and crossed them for the window panes.

The wreath base is stamped onto Crumb Cake card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. The accent leaves were stamped over the base using Garden Green ink. Instead of using the third wreath shape, which is berries, I used the small flower stamp from the set for my accents. They are stamped in Blackerry Bliss. The two tones of this purple color are achieved by "stamping off." They are expertly cut out using the Wonderful Wreath framelits, as is the Blackberry Bliss bow and it's Mossy Meadow matt bow.

The door knob plate is achieved by punching a So Saffron Little Labels shape and adding the Brushed Gold circle for a knob. I used the Owl Builder Punch for the perfect-sized circle.

What I love about the Wondrous Wreath stamp set is that it is NOT just for Christmas!! There are so many possibilities with this set. Those darling die cuts in the Wonderful Wreath Framelit sets are too much fun!
I'd love to know what you thought of my favorite items from the new Holiday Catalog. Won't you leave me a comment? They always make me smile. Consider subscribing to my blog so you won't miss a post!

Pals Holiday Catalog Blog Hop!!

Thank you for joining us for the August Pals Blog Hop. Even though it's only August, we want to provide some inspiration for your upcoming holiday projects. This month's blog hop will showcase new products from the 2013 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the new stamps, new punches and other accessories!
You should have just left stop number 17 on the Pals Hop - Linda Callahan at Stampin' Seasons. If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

My first project for the Blog Hop is this sweet card for Halloween. I don't do  "ghouls" -- I like to keep a light take on this fall holiday. The Holiday Catalog has this CUTE single stamp called "Halloween Happiness."

The four cute pumpkins demand your Stampin' Write Marker, and here I used four colors to complete my pumpkins and jack-o-lantern. I snipped out close to the quartet and then set them onto an Apothecary Accent shape cut out of Sweater Weather designer series paper--another new item in the Holiday Catalog. I set the double layer onto one last frame of Pumpkin Pie textured by the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

My second project from the Holiday Catalog is my CUTE mini place card! I isolated one of the pumpkin images from "Halloween Happiness" and used the same marker colors as my card above to color and stamp onto Whisper White card stock. Then I embossed around my image using the Designer Frames Embossing Folder. I snipped with my Paper Snips around the oval shape. Then I colored those raised dots using my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker. I added a teeny knot using Early Espresso 1/8" taffeta ribbon and wrote my name. I can't wait to make a whole set of these for our family Thanksgiving Table.

Behind the oval place card I used a scrap of Crumb Cake card stock as a stand. I did not measure this, but if I make a set of these, they would all be the same size so they'll all stand up the same.

Holiday Catalog Fall Card #1 - Live Holiday Catalog

Today's card is one of four using the brand new "Harvest of Thanks" stamp set and the new Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper. The stamp set has four pieces to it and each piece can be cut out using the either the Apothecary Accents Framelits or the Deco Labels Collection Framelits. The Sweater Weather  Designer Series Paper coordinates with the following colors: Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand, SOft Sky, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla and Whisper White.

I stamped the "Harvest of Blessings" stamp in Chocolate Chip ink onto a piece of the printed paper from Sweater Weather. I love how this looks! I framed the cut out shape with Early Espresso card stock. On the top I added a Designer Natural Button tied with a piece of Linen Thread.

On the bottom of the sentiment, I stamped again onto Crushed Curry card stock and fussy cut the oval. I adhered it over the same spot on the designer paper. I adhered the entire element over a piece of Natural Trim that is adhered to a piece of Cotton Ribbon. I drew little "stitches" with my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker.

Don't you just love the plaid on this Designer Series Paper mat? It has such a Fall feel to it. And here we are in the middle of summer, thinking forward to cooler weather!

I hope you enjoyed this look at some new products from the Holiday Mini catalog. These products are now available for order at my Online Store.
