Two Great People

October is a month that I send out several wedding Anniversary Cards. This sentiment from "Something To Say" is perfect for the front of the card. I add my own, personalized message inside. It's a joy to celebrate wedding anniversaries with other married folks!

I got inspiration from another card, but unfortunately, I don't know who's card it was. I used the same Go Wild Designer Series Paper Pack (different print) and the doily with circles and a different color ribbon for my cards.

Happy Birthday for PPA256

Happy Thursday! It's time for another Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This time it's a sketch. Feel free to use the sketch as your starting point to create something out of paper.

Using the sketch, I chose three prints from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack. These sheets are 6 x 6" and there are 4 each of 12 designs in each stack, for a total of 48 sheets. The price is right at $8 (138441).

Next, I made my card base out of Tip Top Taupe. I added a slightly smaller piece of Basic Black that I textured using the Chevron TIEF and my Big Shot. I placed the three banners (created using 1" strips of DSP and using my Banner Triple Punch) like they are on the sketch.

I was thinking of using ribbon horizontally across the top, but it didn't look good, so I added a piece of Whisper White card stock instead. The sentiment "happy birthday" is from the Sprinkles on Top stamp set. I love this script! I decided to add two "&" Essentials Clips because they would shine a little and because I never know what to use those for!! :-) (They are now retired).

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card and hearing how I came up with this particular design beginning with our sketch. Please leave your comments--they make my day!

Sweet Treat For You

Hello Sweet Blog Friends! I am LOVING one of my new stamp sets "You're So Sweet." The set has stamps that coordinate with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die and is sold as a bundle saving you 15% when you purchase both items. What could be better than that sweet, calorie-free treat!?

I embossed the image onto a print from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack using VersaMark and Black Embossing Powder. My treat bag is embellished with Crumb Cake Stitched Satin Ribbon and an Antique Brad that I make sparkle with a single Basic Rhinestone.

The package is smart and great as a masculine or feminine gift for any treat-giving occasion. I slipped a fun pack of chocolate candies inside, but the bag is big enough for a gift card or other small surprise.

Thanks for coming by today! I hope you will leave me a comment--I thrive on them!
