Retiring Sprinkles on Top

Just knowing that stamp sets are retiring makes me want to keep them! So, I'm going through a lot of my retiring sets for one, last hurrah!

Sprinkles on Top is SUCH a cute set, with those donuts that you could punch out perfectly using the circle punch. Here, I just used my Stampin' Write Markers in So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Crumb Cake, stamped them on a thin panel and mounted them on an embossed Blushing Bride mat. The retiring Pool Party Cotton Ribbon ties a neat bow above the donuts and below is one of the sentiments from the stamp set, which is stamped in Early Espresso.

Sprinkles on Top Trio

Inspired by Teneale Williams

What to do when you need to make birthday cards, your home is a mess due to interior painting and you hardly have any time? Rather than using my limited time (and cramped, dusty space) to think about what to make, I turned to Pinterest and CASEd one particular stamp set: Sprinkles on Top.

Inspired by Ilina Crouse

In less than an hour, I had three wonderful birthday cards to round out my month! Here instead of the washi tape that Ilina used, I used the DSP and my Washi Tape Punch.

The colors in the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack are wonderful for the donuts in the stamp set! I added the "hope it's sweet" sentiment and the Watermelon Wonder outline on the teeny heart that dots the "i" in "birthday."

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you are also inspired and have an idea of how to get quick ideas for your cards.

Donut Thank You!

This is a cheerful way to let someone know you are thinking of them! If you hand deliver the card, you'd better include some REAL donuts!! These look very good, but aren't edible!

Rows and rows of colorful and sprinkled donuts.... YUM! Thanks to Sprinkles On Top stamp set, you can create many "flavors" of donuts for your cards! I popped some of them up after punching out using the 3/4" Circle Punch for a little dimension. I used the "Just Because" from the Tin of Cards stamp set. That set is going to get a lot of use by me!! See this post if you haven't explored Tin of Cards yet!

Happy Birthday for PPA256

Happy Thursday! It's time for another Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This time it's a sketch. Feel free to use the sketch as your starting point to create something out of paper.

Using the sketch, I chose three prints from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack. These sheets are 6 x 6" and there are 4 each of 12 designs in each stack, for a total of 48 sheets. The price is right at $8 (138441).

Next, I made my card base out of Tip Top Taupe. I added a slightly smaller piece of Basic Black that I textured using the Chevron TIEF and my Big Shot. I placed the three banners (created using 1" strips of DSP and using my Banner Triple Punch) like they are on the sketch.

I was thinking of using ribbon horizontally across the top, but it didn't look good, so I added a piece of Whisper White card stock instead. The sentiment "happy birthday" is from the Sprinkles on Top stamp set. I love this script! I decided to add two "&" Essentials Clips because they would shine a little and because I never know what to use those for!! :-) (They are now retired).

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card and hearing how I came up with this particular design beginning with our sketch. Please leave your comments--they make my day!
