Sunset Coast Father's Day

I created this card for friends and relatives this year. I used the sentiment from Relaxing Waterside and the dies from Sunset Coast. The designer series paper is retired. I think it turned out nicely and I love that golden sunset look.

Let me know what you think. As always, please let me know if you have any questions. I'd love to help you make greeting cards for people on your list.

Happy Father's Day + Free Shipping!

Time flies when you are creating cards... and doing all kinds of other things! It's been a month since I've posted a card. But I have made a lot of them! Hopefully I will continue to share some from time to time.

This card is a CASE of Brian King over at Stamp With Brian. I changed the layout slightly, used a different stamp set and used a different die set. But I loved the way the papers were used in the original. And these colors (Basic Black, Basic White and Sahara Sand) together are great with the He's the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I hope you are celebrating the Dads in your life. Our family has a BBQ every year and we always encourage the new dads and remember the ones who have gone before.

Coming up: Sale-A-Bration begins July 1st and the July-December Mini Catalog goes live that day as well! Free products for every $50 you spend- no limits!

Also, please note that there is Free Shipping on orders of $75 or more on Tuesday, June 21st only! Place your order before 11:59PM Mountain Time and save on shipping!

In Good Taste Father's Day

It's almost Father's Day! I like to send cards to a lot of dads that I know. This year I get to send one to our son, who is celebrating his first Father's Day! So excited to express my gratitude for how he "dads" his son. It's a beautiful thing to witness!

I started by choosing the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. So many textured prints and I chose the Misty Moonlight fabric pattern. I added a layer underneath using Smoky Slate card stock textured with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

My sentiment comes from A Wish For Everything stamp set. I put the "happy" onto one block and stamped it onto Smoky Slate using Black Memento ink. I added the words "Father's Day" one on top of the other onto another block and stamped it using Misty Moonlight ink. I die cut the sentiment using the Layering Circles Dies and added a border in Misty Moonlight. The twine tied in a bow is one from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.

I'm so glad you came by today to see what I created. Thanks for your time and I always love to read comments!

Classic Masculine Card

Hey everyone! How is your day going? I hope you are well and enjoying some lovely Spring weather. Summer is right around the corner and this card could be used for a birthday or for Father's Day. I used some Country Club Designer Series Paper (background plaid and the golf course scene), some green twine, a sentiment from Guy Greetings and the All Dressed Up dies to cut out my sentiment. My card base is Night of Navy. Very classic all around.

I'm glad you stopped by to look at my creation. Leave a comment if you have a moment.

Father's Day with True Gentleman Guy Greetings

More Guy Greetings with the sentiment here. This is probably the last card I will make using the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper. Mostly because I gave away the rest of my pieces as a prize at my Workshop this week. I love the colors and the "guy" patterns on this paper. It will be sorely missed!

Notice my faux button in Early Espresso? It solves the problem of mailing a card with a button, which I've been having a lot of trouble with at the post office. The cards arrive just fine, but the clerks don't want to let them get mailed using the non-machinable stamp! So I have found a very polite post office and I simply wait in line and ask them to hand stamp my envelopes, but I have cut back on the number of those I send out.

I hope you enjoyed looking today. Please let me know if you have any questions about my cards or other projects.

Father's Day Plaid

You can definitely tell that I am trying to use up retiring designer series paper! The wonderful prints in this True Gentleman Designer Series Paper are so fun to play with, mix and match. This year I didn't buy every designer paper in the catalog, and I STILL have a good supply left!

If you are ever wondering if you will have enough when you buy a package, wonder no more! You can make dozens of cards from a single package.

My sentiment is from Guy Greetings (retiring oh, too soon for me!) and the little stamp on the left of the greeting is from the retiring Truly Tailored stamp set.  The Crushed Curry band across the middle is dry embossed using the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Thanks for looking today! I hope you were inspired. I'd love to read your comments!

Lovely as a Tree Father's Day

This was a Workshop card for last night's workshop. I love how easy it is to be an artist using Lovely as a Tree, Memento Black ink, an Aqua Painter and a Stampin' Pad ink puddle! Look at that tree-it's gorgeous and anyone can do it! It's very quick, too! Using the Stitched Framelit to cut out my work of art really ups the artistry on this Father's Day card!

The So Saffron layer of my card has Crumb Cake backgrounds using Timeless Textures, one word of my sentiment on top and another that shows up well using a Shimmery White Classic Label punch.

Thanks for looking today! If you like my card, I'd love to see your comment!

Happy Father's Day!

This Father's Day card was inspired by a birthday card I received in a swap. I'm so sorry that there was no information on the card about who designed it! It's not my design. I only changed the sentiment. I love the colors. I just got this stamp set, "The Open Sea", even though I've admired it for a long time. I've seen so many great cards made with this set and it's elements that I finally let it get to the top of my Wish List!

If you haven't made the Father's Day card you need to deliver today, you still have time to make this easy card. One stamp set, three colors of ink and four shades of card stock. One punch, a piece of baker's twine and you are good to go!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my card and have some inspiration for your own. I've been inspired by so many great stampers out there! Please leave me a comment below!

Father's Day CASE and 50% Off Paper Pumpkin Offer

Linda Aarhus made a Father's Day card awhile back and I loved her tie idea, so I made my own version. I love how those little prints make great ties! I used some retired scraps and I have no idea which prints they are, since they were all in a big stack with no labels. My accent colors are Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.

I had to order some of those cute hangers, which come in the retiring "Hung Up Cute Clips" assortment. They are so cute!

I made the above graphic using the neat card that comes in the Paper Pumpkin kit each month. I backed it with a piece of the new Tangelo Twist card stock.  I've been loving my kits, since they allow me to complete a project in very little time. All of the "ingredients" are in the box and make it easy to grab your adhesive and scissors and take them with you on a trip or to craft with a friend. Last month's offering was a cute 4 x 4" frame that you could have used for a Mother's Day gift. This month's kit has a Father's Day-themed stamp.

Did you know you can enjoy Stampin' Up's subscription kit program -- each month a fully-designed project arrives in a delightful box filled with stamps, ink, and paper-everything cut and ready to go. You Are A Blessing

I always joke with my husband that he's not my father, so I don't get him a Father's Day card, but I do love to tell him how much he means to me and how he has been a great father to our 4 children.

This is the card I made for him this year. I featured the wonderful *new* Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is a collection of glossy, raised patterns printed on heavyweight Natural paper. Patterns appear brown and glossy and include woodgrain, flourishes, flowers and sheet music. You can use these for backgrounds, in your Big Shot with box or favor dies. The possibilities are endless and make it look like you spent much more time on your project or gift than you really did!

In this close up you can see the shine on the raised pattern. LOVE. I hope you have a great day celebrating all of the fathers in your life! Do you see those CUTE mini stamp shapes? They are punched out easily using the Little Labels Punch Pack. I accented them with Silver Mini Brads. The sentiment from Blessings from Heaven stamp set is professionally die cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.
