Colorful CASE

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going great so far. I CASEd this card from Mary Fish, my upline. She is a fantastic leader and inspires her entire large group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators every single day. Convention is coming up and over 50 of Mary's Stampin' Pretty Pals will be meeting in Salt Lake City to enjoy the festivities!

I could not help but like Mary's layout for her card and I loved how colorful she made it, too. I used some retired designer paper, Summer Smooches for the full summery effect. No worries, you could substitute any patterned paper and any of the elements and just use the "sketch" as inspiration! I actually sent this card to Mary to congratulate her on a goal achieved and to thank her for her helpful leadership of so many Stampin' Up! demonstrators!

Silky Soft Tulle Box

Good Day! I wanted to show you another use for Stampin' Up's silky, soft Crumb Cake Tulle Ribbon! I love how it ties into a knot or bow so easily! It's not stiff like yardage tulle, but very soft to the touch.

For this little gift box, I used a panel that had been stamped earlier and sitting on my desk for awhile. The sentiment is from Blessings from Heaven and it is stamped in Early Espresso onto Naturals Ivory card stock. I matted it using the Peekaboo Frames die and Natural Composition Specialty paper. To add a little bling to my bow, after I tied it I cut (free-hand) a circle from the tulle and then punched a circle from Champagne Glimmer paper. POW! I think it really pops and brings out the shine in the woodgrain on the frame.

I would love to read your comments when you leave them below! Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Embellished Thank You

Happy Monday! I finally got around to using some of my products from the Holiday Mini! Here you will see a peek at the 3-1/2" Scallop Tulle in Cherry Cobbler (a very teeny piece, cut free-hand into a circle), and one of the Designer Natural Buttons.

This card actually began with a long, thin scrap of Comfort Cafe designer series paper and a stray 3/4" Circle punched from Summer Starfruit. Now, Summer Starfruit has not been my favorite new In Color so far! But last week for the PPA Challenge, I had to use it, and I must admit, it is growing on me! And, although one of the colors that coordinate with Comfort Cafe designer series paper are listed as Cajun Craze, I chose to use Cherry Cobbler, because it matched the tulle!

The "ribbon" is made by folding a long piece until I got the desired shape/size and then I hand-cut a little rounded portion where the button would go. I tied my button using two pieces of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. I free-hand cut the ends of my paper "ribbon" into points.

This ribbon and button sits on top of a Peek-A-Boo Frames window die cut from Natural Composition Specialty designer series paper that I ran through my Big Shot. The sentiment and stamp are from the Day Of Gratitude stamp set.

You Are A Blessing

I always joke with my husband that he's not my father, so I don't get him a Father's Day card, but I do love to tell him how much he means to me and how he has been a great father to our 4 children.

This is the card I made for him this year. I featured the wonderful *new* Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is a collection of glossy, raised patterns printed on heavyweight Natural paper. Patterns appear brown and glossy and include woodgrain, flourishes, flowers and sheet music. You can use these for backgrounds, in your Big Shot with box or favor dies. The possibilities are endless and make it look like you spent much more time on your project or gift than you really did!

In this close up you can see the shine on the raised pattern. LOVE. I hope you have a great day celebrating all of the fathers in your life! Do you see those CUTE mini stamp shapes? They are punched out easily using the Little Labels Punch Pack. I accented them with Silver Mini Brads. The sentiment from Blessings from Heaven stamp set is professionally die cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

PPA125 Tags!!

Happy Thursday! It's PPA's Tags Challenge. Just now is the time when everyone should be wrapping up their Christmas presents and of course, you will need some tags!

These were put together fairly quickly, yet they packa punch!

Inside this one, I let the recipient know what is inside my goody bag! YUM!

For this cute Christmas Tree, I used some circles that I had cut out from a previous tag (I made wreaths by punching the circle first, then the scallop circle punch). Here, the circle functions as my full moon! I used some retired silver cording from Stampin' Up!

Either set of tag or both together would also make a lovely hostess gift or for a friend who is stressed by all of the last minute gift-wrapping.

Gift Tag Supplies:
Card Stock: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Naturals Ivory, Whisper White
Stamps: Fabulous Phrases, Tags Til Christmas, Pennant Parade
Ink: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Punches: Petite Pennants Builder, 1-1/4" circle, Scallop Circle and 1" square
Extras: Big Shot, Peekaboo Frames die, Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Silver cording (retired)

Countdown Calendar

Page 36 of my Holiday Mini Catalog is WORN OUT!! I used it to re-create this Countdown Calendar using Stampin' Up's new 25 and Counting stamp set, the 1" Square Punch and the Bigz Peekaboo Frames Die with my Big Shot.

I had a lot of fun creating and I hope you enjoy and are inspired by my photos! I kept true to the catalog version, with the exception of the die cut numbers. I did not have the same die set, so I used the retired Go Go Boots numbers and for the #13, I had to improvise since those numbers were too long to fit onto my frame. I used the "i" from the (hostess) Happiest Birthday Wishes stamped onto Whisper White with Cherry Cobbler ink and cut out. The "3" is the same as day 23.

If you are interested in getting all of the cut out elements (die cuts, punches and designer paper already cut to size) to create your own calendar, I am selling the kits for $12 US only including postage. This DOES NOT include the stamped images, you must have the set 25 & Counting already.
Additional supplies you provide: Whisper White, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler card stock for stamping your images, inks, adhesive, embellishments such as buttons, bells, ribbon, linen thread, clothespin, dimensionals, glue dots, pearls, rhinestones, brads, paper piercer, 12 x 12 backing paper, 12 x 12 frame, frame stand. Stamped images punched after stamping, so your project will look like my finished project you would need the following punches: 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4" Circle, Square Scallop and Itty Bitty Punch Pack.

Please EMAIL ME directly to purchase your kit. I will be taking orders only until September 15th, so please don't delay.

Here are more close-ups of this fun calendar!
