Tangerine Tango Congratulations

I CASEd this beautiful card from Stamping With Val. I love all these colors together. I am LOVING the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper, but I hate to use it up too quickly! 

This card lets you see plenty of one of the bold patterns, but still make a lot of cards using the small pieces. A little goes a long way. My designer paper is cut to 4" x 3-1/2". This means you could make 9 cards like this one from one 12" x 12" sheet.

Happy Birthday in Blue

Happy Thursday! Happy Birthday to the recipient of this fun card. It was the 3rd in a series for my February Workshop and I really enjoyed designing it and then having the gals make theirs to take home.

Stampin' Up! makes it pretty easy to design cards using their matching elements. See pages 76-77 of the Annual Catalog to see this "suite" set of products: Floral Phrases Stamp set, Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper and Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies. I chose to use the "Happy Birthday" from the  Balloon Celebration set, as the Floral Phrases doesn't include a birthday greeting. But isn't that floral spray gorgeous? It looks almost water colored in person with it's faded and bold stamp areas. Next I want to heat emboss with it--wouldn't that be beautiful?
