Sweet Suite Tags

I'm back! It's been a long break for me but I'm ready to post again. Today's project is this sweet BFF tag for some pillow gifts at a recent girls weekend. The stamped image is from the Sweet Conversations stamp set. I used the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper and I cut out each piece using the Sweet Hearts Dies. Those bits of bling are Iridescent Rhinestones and make this tag extra special.

You can see that this suite is NOT just for Valentine's Day! You can use these sweet hearts and sentiments any time of year!

All products used are from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. You can browse it here.

At Home with You Tag and Video

I made this tag for a house warming gift. It is based on the tag from page 56 in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, using the stamp set At Home With You. They attached their door with a wreath to a package of cookies! Here I used the same colors as the house I was "warming" with my gift of an American flag.

There are so many ways to use the door and all of the stamps in this set. See below for some more examples and product information.

Wine Improves With Age...

When I give wine as a gift, I like to dress it up a little bit. The stamp set Half Full lets you do just that, and very easily.  I stamped the sentiment that is framed beautifully, then I punched out the top part using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. (It does take a little fussing to stamp the top of the image just the right distance from the edge of your card stock ;-)  I cut off the bottom edge and trimmed the sides along the stamped lines. I tied a bow using the Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon.

Next I created a card to place the tag onto. It's a Fresh Fig card base with a piece of Whisper White down the middle. The top layer is a piece of the Merry Music Specialty DSP (back side) that is trimmed with Black Vintage Crochet Trim. I think it makes a handsome card/tag.

Framed Gift Tag

This tag was supposed to be an element on a card. I couldn't decide what the background should be, so I made it into a tag. Then I needed a way to photograph it, so I chose this empty gold 4" x 6" frame I had in my studio. It looks like a gift in itself, right?

The Gold Faceted Gem and the gold foil on the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer paper (where I punched the hole) match the gold on my frame. The black background just makes the whole thing pop!

The sentiment comes from the Special Celebrations stamp set.

For You Gift Tag and Retiring Products Reminder

Here is a gift I recently gave to my son's girlfriend. I decorated a quick tag, which is just a simple Stitched Shapes square. Birthday Blooms stamp set provided the sentiment and the lovely flower, which I stamped using Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron. I'm really going to miss Mint Macaron when it retires the first of June!

Tied with a piece of stitched Melon Mambo ribbon on the cellophane bag, this gift of a candle and a lip gloss is ready for giving!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will leave a comment so I know you were here.

March Pals Blog Hop! There's Spring In Our Hop!

Hello! I'm stop #8 the March Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating Spring-related projects for Mother's Day, Easter or any other occasion that celebrates Winter coming to an end.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from  Stop #7, Amy Whelan at Amy's Inklings. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you can see all of the amazing creations.

Once per month our Bible study group gives our host church a few "thank you" baskets because they are so generous with their campus. We leave a basket in each office on the church/school grounds. I made four tags for the baskets of fruit, nuts and candies that we put together this month.

These tags were quick and easy and FUN to put together. I think they say "Spring" most definitely! My bloom and butterfly will be a welcome sight for much of the country after so much snow.

I used the Occasions Catalog stamp set "Painted Petals" for my sentiment. I punched it out using the Artisan Label punch and then framed it with a Calypso Coral Label Bracket punch. My accents are made using Painted Blooms Cotton Twine for a stem with a Petite Petal in Wild Wasabi. In the middle of the flower I used a pom cut from the Calypso Coral Pompom Trim. Fluttering nearby is my Elegant Butterfly/Bitty Butterfly in Vellum Card Stock and Whisper White card stock, respectively. It's body sparkles due to Basic Rhinestones. Her speckles and the speckles on the tag itself are stamped in Wisteria Wonder using a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Painted Blooms White Cotton Twine ties the Apothecary Accents Framelit tag onto the basket.

The next stop is #9, Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting. Be sure and stop by next month!

I would love to see your comments, so won't you please leave one?

50 and Fabulous

A friend turned 50 this week and I had a special cookie stack made for her from Paradise Sweets!

I happened to receive some lavender roses a day before I gave the gift. The flowers came arranged in cellophane and netting. I re-used the netting to wrap the white bakery box, tied it with some organza ribbon and added my home made tag using Silver 1/8" ribbon.

My tag base is Wisteria Wonder card stock die cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelit. I stamped the sentiment in Wisteria Wonder ink onto Whisper White card stock and then cut it using another Apothecary Accents Framelit. I decorated it with Basic Rhinestones and then adhered it to the base. I added the "5-0" cut from Silver Glimmer paper using the Tyepset Alphabet Bigz die.

I hope you liked seeing my project and that you will leave your comments, which I LOVE to read!

Artisan Embellishments for the Paper Players

Good morning and welcome to my blog! I was challenged this week by the Paper Players blog theme "Love is the Air." I submit this LOVEly gift tag that I made to decorate a bag with a house warming gift inside! Most of the elements come from the Artisan Embellishments Kit found on pg. 10 (129328 $9.95) of the Spring Catalog. I am so glad I ordered TWO, because I'm almost finished using up my first one! The lace in this kit is heavenly and you won't find it anywhere else! You can make so many different items using this kit--it's very economical.

I began with a Very Vanilla card stock base, which I free-hand cut to look like a tag. I rounded the bottom corners and distressed the edges with a sponge dauber and Chocolate Chip ink.

I added a single rose from the 5/8" Flower Trim. I tied a bow through the button (look closely at the button--there are hearts!) using a piece of the Primrose Petals Seam Binding from the Artisan Embellishments Kit.

There is a Raspberry Ripple dotted scallop border peeking above a snippet of Print Poetry Designer Series Paper from the paper stack. Under that is the final element, Primrose Petals Scalloped Lace that I adorned with pearls.

Here is the bag with the completed tag. It's a brown paper bag that I added some pizzazz to by adding Champagne Glitter stripes across the top. These were just scraps I had kept from other projects cut to fit across the bag.

I hope you enjoyed my Paper Players project and thank you for visiting my blog! Visit the PP blog to see all of the interesting, beautiful and inspiring projects the design team and participants have posted. Maybe you will create with "Love is in the Air" in mind!

PPA Color Challenge - Trio of Tags

Hello Blog Friends! This week's Pals Paper Arts color challenge can really play along with Christmas. I needed tags this week, so here is how I used Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake.

Merry Minis images decorate this tag in all three of my colors. This tag has one Basic Rhinestone. For threading the twine, I punched a Crumb Cake Label from Labels Punch Pack punches.

The second tag is stamped and pierced the same, but I added a little MORE bling to the second "ornament" hanger.

The last tag is totally blinged out with a row of rhinestones across the bottom. The sentiment "Merry Christmas" is from the (retired) stamp set Christmas Greetings. It is one of my "go-to" stamp sets that I will probably always have. I love the style of writing in this sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed my challenge items and that you are inspired to make and submit your own! You can use any products you like! Please leave your comments below, I love to read them!

Tag Supplies:
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake
Stamps: Merry Minis, Christmas Greetings

PPA Preview and Christmas Tags

I'm excited to show you a sneak preview of this week's challenge from Pals Paper Arts! Be sure and come back tomorrow and see the full card. Also, check out the Pals site and see what each Design Team member has come up with! Be inspired!

A quick post to show you some very easy gift tags for Christmas gifts. I used the Heart of Christmas (single stamp) inked in Early Espresso. I die cut it using one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits. Then I cut one "tab" off of the die cut and it looks just like a tag you would buy. I used Very Vanilla 1/8" taffeta ribbon to tie it onto my sparkly bag. The Champagne Glimmer Paper is what makes it sparkle!

My second bag is the same base with Champagne Glimmer Paper, but the tag is filled in differently. I used a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to color just the words "It's Christmas" from the Heart of Christmas single stamp. Then I added the "to" and "from" that is in the (retired) Winter Post stamp set. It was inked in Gumball Green ink. The tag is tied onto the bag using (retired) Pear Pizzazz 1/2" seam binding.

I hope you enjoyed my tags and bags and that you will leave a comment for me to read.
