Twinkle Twinkle Birthday

I love this Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, but I didn't need a new baby themed stamp set, so I set out to make a card that doesn't require the baby theme. The colors Night of Navy (striped pattern) and Gray Granite (star pattern) are emphasized on this fun card that brings birthday greetings to a special person.

I loved the way the three ribbons looked together: Gray Granite 1/2" Textured Weave, Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham and 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle. And that little heart--Oh My!

My clouds and the heart were cut out using the Up and Away Thinlits and my Big Shot.

Up and Away Thank You

I saw a card similar to this on Creative Stamping blog. I made it my own with my cloud pattern. I loved the one popped up card, the little bow and the bling on the balloon.

Another detail I really liked was the slight ombre effect, achieved for this card by fully stamping the balloon using So Saffron ink, and then only stamping some of the bottom of the balloon on the Mango Melody stamp pad. On this particular balloon, the Mango Melody ink went a little higher than I desired, but it still looks great.

Thank you for looking today. I hope you are inspired. Use my button on the side bar to shop any time.

Moon Baby Cuteness

I couldn't bear to part with the Moon Baby stamp set when it retired, so here I am creating with it-win!! I'm sure I will use it a lot. Aren't those clouds adorable? They are cut from the Up and Away Thinlits that go with the stamp set Lift Me Up (see yesterday's post if you missed it). Those clouds are invaluable for any sky scene, whether you stamp them first or just cut them out easily with the Big Shot. My card was inspired by Carl Arneson and I found it on Pinterest.

You can't really tell, but I used Wink of Stella on the clouds and the moon, baby and star. I love the sprinkle of shine it adds.

Thanks for looking! Go create something today! Shop with me any time.

Catalog Inspired Lift Me Up

This card was in the Annual Catalog. I didn't have the same paper to peek out from the beautiful Whisper White balloon, or the ribbon to go alongside the cloud strip, but I made do and I love how it turned out.

This stamp set, Lift Me Up, is not new this year, but I spent the last year debating if I should buy it or not. When I earned some merchandise from my team leader, I knew that it was time for this set to be part of my library of bundles. Those shapes are easily cut after stamping because of the matching Up and Away Thinlits.

Thanks for looking today. I hope I lifted your spirits! I'd love to read your comments, so please take a moment to leave one.
