Cheers to 23 Years!

I don't usually show cards using retired stamp sets, but a lot of times I will see a card with any stamp set and like the layout or some special technique about it. I can then create my own card using the layout or technique and any other stamp set. So, you see, you can be inspired even if you don't have the same supplies I used here.

Another thing I don't do often is decorate the inside of the cards I make! Here, I wanted to personalize the card for a couple's 23rd wedding anniversary. I ended up crossing out the words 'half full' and writing 'overflowing' in their place!

I hope you were inspired today. Please visit my Online Store for your own Stampin' Up! supplies. Come back soon!

60th Birthday - Celebrate!

Turning 60 is something to toast! Here I used the Half Full stamp set. I stamped the glasses stamp twice, added a mat, colored in a couple of the glasses and then die cut the numbers from Black Glimmer Paper.

Inside, I added the sentiment "fabulous at any age" (from Itty Bitty Greetings) sort of badge and then will write my own message to the birthday recipient. My card was inspired by this one, made by Crafty-Rootes.

NOT Just for Christmas! Dashing Along Paper Available!

It's getting toward the end of my Christmas card making and I'm running out of ideas. I don't like to make a ton of the same card! I used Dashing Along Designer Paper (Now available again!) and the Snow is Glistening (so sadly retired!) stamp set to create this card. I love the font on these sentiments and the tree is so beautiful! It also has coordinating dies. Here I simply used one of the sentiments, a punch and some rhinestones, ribbon and leftover Paper Pumpkin embellishments. This is both a Christmas and Thank You for my December customers who placed orders.

Sometimes I forget that sets that aren't really "Christmas" have potential at this time of year. Here I used the one Christmas sentiment from Better Together and the same basic layout as the card above. Don't forget that the wonderful stamp set Half Full also comes with Holly and a lovely "Merry Christmas" sentiment!

Half Full Hospitality

Next month I will be traveling to the California wine country and I plan on leaving some cards along the way to thank winemakers for their hospitality. I love that the Half Full stamp set has plenty of options for sentiments, wine glasses of different sizes and also a Christmas greeting and holly. It's good year round!

I CASED this card from the catalog, but I used my own designer series paper and I used Rich Razzleberry for my card base instead of the new Merry Merlot.

The hardest part of this card was waiting for the White Craft Ink to dry! I used my Stampa-Ma-Jig to line up those wine glasses perfectly (six glasses per stamp) and so I needed to wait of each one to dry so I could lay down the sheet for placement. I cut out my chalkboard tag using the Scallop Tag Topper punch before stamping and embossing it (again using the Stampa-Ma-Jig) for perfect placement.

The Best Friends...

I gotta say, I love this Half Full stamp set! I framed my photo using a piece of Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I used just the sentiment but to make it special, I embossed it in gold and then cut it out using the Leaflets Framelits. I added another leaf in Copper Foil and one Whisper White branch from Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.

The sentiment really sums up how I feel about these ladies in the photo with me!

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas, But...

I don't often choose funny stamp sets, but this one is beautiful as well as silly. Here you can see the artwork of the wine glasses, and the fun font in the sentiment. I love coloring in the liquids. I chose the shiny Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper as my backdrop. Then I used Copper Foil paper to frame my sentiment. The Whisper White and Copper were die cut using Lots of Labels Framelits.

A Little Chocolate Goes with Wine

If you like wine, chances are you also like chocolate! So here is a sweet gift that will go along with the gift bottle from yesterday's post! Inside is a single Ferrero-Rocher chocolate wrapped inside a mini organza bag. The organza bag gives it a little stability so it won't roll around inside the box too much.

here you can see the foil-wrapped chocolate peeking through

I thank you for looking today! I hope you have a fabulous week. Take care and come back soon.

Wine Improves With Age...

When I give wine as a gift, I like to dress it up a little bit. The stamp set Half Full lets you do just that, and very easily.  I stamped the sentiment that is framed beautifully, then I punched out the top part using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. (It does take a little fussing to stamp the top of the image just the right distance from the edge of your card stock ;-)  I cut off the bottom edge and trimmed the sides along the stamped lines. I tied a bow using the Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon.

Next I created a card to place the tag onto. It's a Fresh Fig card base with a piece of Whisper White down the middle. The top layer is a piece of the Merry Music Specialty DSP (back side) that is trimmed with Black Vintage Crochet Trim. I think it makes a handsome card/tag.

Half Full Wishes

"May Your Glass Always Be Half Full" is the way I tend to look at things. This sentiment is a toast, a wish and a greeting you can use for many different occasions. I love the colors on this card: Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry paired with Very Vanilla. The ink is Basic Black and Basic Gray.

I used my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker to color the wine in the glass and make the wine "pour " from the bottle. Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker colored the foil on the bottle. Next I layered on Clear Wink of Stella and lastly I added a layer of clear with my Fine Tip Glue Pen. The bottle is colored using Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you are inspired. I love to read your comments, so please take a few seconds to leave one, won't you?
