Stippled Easter Card and Retiring Items List

Easter will be here soon. Today's card uses mainly the Stippled Roses Dies for the leaves, and Adoring Hearts Dies for the blooms. The piece of Designer Series Paper behind my artful arrangement is from my retired stash. You could use any color of any print to match your blooms or leaves. The sentiment is from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit, but again you could substitute any sentiment and layer it with some interesting shapes and colors for depth. The cross is stamped in Melon Mambo using the Hope and Prayer Stamp set.

Soon the Mini Catalog and Annual Catalogs will Retire. See what is retiring by clicking on the links:  Mini Catalog

Hold Onto Hope Easter

I got inspired by Windy Ellard's use of the Hold on to Hope stamp set. When I sat down to recreate her card, this is the card I ended up with--quite different! I used some colors I saw as stage decorating recently: Wisteria Wonder, Basic Gray, Pool Party. The green leaves and flowers are stamped in Pear Pizzazz.

I need to use my pearls more often! They are so classy.

I like my Easter cards to say, "He is Risen" so I just wrote it on the banner in my own handwriting. I used two colors of Stampin' Write markers to color my banner stamp. Of course it was easily cut out using the Cross of Hope Framelits Dies.

Thank you for coming by today to see what I created. Won't you leave me a comment? I love to read them all.

Casing Easter Cards

Two Easter cards inspired from the Occasions Catalog! The above card is pretty much how it is in the catalog, page 19. I love the gold embossing on both the sentiment and the draped cross. Very rich. The background is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Falling in Love Designer Series Paper.

Here is cased another card from the same page. Instead of using designer series paper, I used sponge daubers and ink and made my own mottled background. I placed the ribbon a little differently than the sample, as well.

I hope you liked looking. Please leave me a comment so I know you were here!

I'm Late, I'm Late!!

Easter Card

Aw, darn! I missed Mary Fish's week as guest designer on the Pals Paper Arts Challenge! I made my card in plenty of time, but then had no time for blogging.

Click to enlarge and see some sparkle on the lamb

I don't think you can see the Dazzling Details on my little lamb, but perhaps if you click on the photo to enlarge it, you will see a little sparkle on some of the "curls."

Thanks for looking today! I hope you are inspired in some way. Please leave me a comment--I love to read them all!

Happy Easter!!

I made this card for a Workshop example. (I CASEd Amy) I think it's cute, right? At Easter I celebrate our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ. I like to participate in the chicks, bunnies and eggs, but seriously, my Easter is a faith-based, sincerely thankful celebration of what Jesus did once and for all; for every human being.

Whatever you are doing today, I wish you and your loved ones a Blessed day! I hope my cheerful card does inspire you and I hope you will visit again soon!

Quick and Easy Easter

If you are looking for a last-minute Easter greeting idea, this card is quick and easy! I hope you enjoy it and will leave your comments below. You could use any card stock color for an accent, and even use any die cut shape you like.

I used the stamp set Crosses of Hope. I shadow-stamped by using two different shades of purple to stamp my cross image. I used Wisteria Wonder underneath Concord Crush. Then I added some sparkle to the cross in celebration of *new* life by using the Basic Rhinestones that come in a line, cutting them to the length needed for this cross shape.

You can see how I added dimension to my card by popping up the Framed Tulip border and the cross image that is stamped onto a Framelits Label die cut and then matted with a larger Label size in Concord Crush.

I hope you have a blessed day on Easter!

Easter Cross Card:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Concord Crush
Stamps: Crosses of Hope
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush
Big Shot: Framelits Labels, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder
Embellishments: Basic Rhinestones
Adhesives: Snail, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

Easter

Here is one of the Easter cards I will be sending this year and the card my March Workshop group made last week. It is fun to put together with lots of texture, but doesn't take too much time.

Close up of the textures and dimensions. I hope you like my colors and the way I used the Crosses of Hope stamp set. Please leave your comments, I thank you for each one! If you have any questions, please email me directly. Thanks to all of you who participated in the Sale-A-Bration!

Don't forget the Summer Smooches promotion going on April 1-30th only!
