You Can Never Have Too Many Tags at Christmas Time

"Merry" tag. The bows were created using strips and two different oval punches.

"Santa Hat" tag. The hat was punched using Oval, Word Window, Scallop Oval and Boho Blossoms punches.

Some of my best friends are crafty stampers! These two tag designs were shown to me by my friend, Diana. Friends gathered at a cabin in the mountains for a weekend just before Thanksgiving, and we each brought a project to share with the others. We used some of our getaway time creating Christmas tags.

I hope you enjoyed looking and will see something you would like to re-create. When you need supplies for your projects, please use my Online Store to order! I value your business!

I also value your comments, so please leave one below.

December Pals Blog Hop 2014 - Trio of Tags

Welcome to the last Pals Blog Hop of 2014. This month we want to help you start your holiday wish list by sharing projects featuring our favorite Stampin' Up! papers, stamps, tools and accessories. Get your wish list ready as you move along through the blog hop.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Debbie Mageed at Secret Stamper.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you can see all of the projects.

I made these tags using my #1 favorite tool: my Big Shot! I cannot do without it!

On all three tags I used the Big Shot and Bitty Banners Framelits to say "For You." All tag bases are cut from All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper. My embellishments and heat embossing make this tag sparkle.

This tag gets it's main focus from the Snowflake Card Thinlit. I cut the tree from the set from our Silver Foil paper. I added a Basic Rhinestone garland to decorate my tree.

The third tag is the largest. My tag is decorated using a Vellum Snowflake from Snowflake Card Thinlits. The circle has a silver embossed snowflake from the Cheerful Tags stamp set.

Don't be fooled, my list of favorites is very long, and as you can see, I like embellishments and ribbon, too!

I hope you enjoyed my tags. Please leave your comments below. They keep me going!

The next stop is Nancy Gleason at My Stampin' Space. Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you in 2015!

Thank You for the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge

I like to think about my Christmas "Thank You" cards ahead of time. This way, right after the presents are unwrapped and put away, I'm ready to send them out. I like a winter theme to them, even though in Southern California it's rarely chilly after Christmas.

Here is a close up of my sentiment from Happy Watercolor. My background of snowflakes is one of the flakes from Cheerful Tags. What I like about this card is that it would be quick to mass produce. I plan on getting to that very soon. This year my "Thank You" cards will be finished before my Christmas cards.

Thanks for visiting today. Check out the rest of the Design Team cards at Pals Paper Arts. Then be inspired and play along!

I would LOVE to read your comments, so please leave one below!

PPA223 Color Challenge--Take a Bite!

Life is getting back to normal since our company left on Friday. I'm able to get into my craft room and make things with paper again. I wouldn't change a thing, but it is so nice to create again. I have a Workshop coming up next week and I made these little goodies for each attendee. I used the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge colors above.

When I went to cut out my first Basic Black Chalk Talk tag, I used a scrap piece of card stock. There happened to be a scallop shape right where the lower right corner of the tag would go. I thought, "Hey, that looks like a bite!" and I went with that idea for the rest of the tags!!

Thanks for looking today. I hope you are inspired to play along at the PPA!

Christmas Tags--Simple and Shaker

SOMEtimes when I receive a new box of Stampin' Up! products, I have a chance to dive right in. The other day, I did just that by making these two tags right off the bat.

This shaker tag was made by using two layers of Whisper White cut out using the Labels Collection Framelits and my Big Shot. I stamped "to" and "from" on the front. In the middle of this top layer, I cut out the tree using the Snowflake Card Thinlit. I laid that (top) piece face down and adhered a small piece of Window Sheet onto it over the tree opening. I adhered some pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals all around the edge of the tree and on "top" of the window sheet.

I added the teeny stars punched from Brushed Silver card stock using my new Confetti Stars Punch.  I placed the backing over the front by standing over my work surface to make sure it was even. When I turned over my tag, there were stars "floating" in the tree!

I added a Daffodil Delight star punched from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and then made it sparkle with a single Basic Rhinestone. I punched a hole with my Crop-a-dile and used Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine for the tie.

My second tag was much simpler! I stamped the background from Cheerful Tags onto Crumb Cake card stock using Cherry Cobbler Ink. Then I stamped "MERRY" from the same set three times (I didn't use the Stamp-a-ma-jig!) in a row. I added the word "Christmas" in my own cursive. (I could have used another stamp, but I was comfy sitting at my desk :-) I added three rhinestones for shine. I hand-snipped my tag because I didn't yet have the Note Tag Punch. I added a hole using my Crop-A-Dile and then another piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. Two tags are now waiting for Christmas presents!

Thanks for looking today. I hope you come back soon. Did you know you can sign up to receive an email each time I post? You won't miss a thing! See my right side bar. I always appreciate your comments!
