Something For Baby and Blog Hop Reminder

I was inspired by a card that Karen Gilbert made and posted in Splitcoast Gallery. Her card was larger than mine, had more elements on it and was actually a Thank You card. I wanted a card for a baby shower gift. This card matches a rag quilt I made for the new baby boy.

I have three friends who are having girls this next few months! I decided that instead of creating ONE "B" for baby card, I would get all three done at once. 

Three Onesies for 3 new baby girls!

I wasn't very excited about the new In Color, Sweet Sugarplum, but when I paired it with Smoky Slate, I liked it a lot better.

Card #1 has the Sweet Sugarplum banner embossed with the Elegant Polka Dots on a plain Smoky Slate background.

Card #2 has the Softly Falling background and a banner with home made DSP, thanks to the teeny flower in the Made With Love stamp set.

Card #3 has a Smoky Slate (Neutrals DSP Stack) background with a Large Polka Dot Embossed Banner. Teeny flowers adorn those large dots.

Baby Girl Congrats!

Hello everyone! So sorry that I haven't posted much lately. A  long vacation and just some busy weeks have kept me out of my studio and away from my blog. I hope you won't give up on me!

One of my customers had a baby recently, so I made this card to send her for congratulations!

I promise I'm trying to get some time in my studio. Please come back soon. In the mean time, won't you leave a comment or greeting? They make my day!

Baby Congrats for PPA255

I wanted to use the new Made With Love stamp set and these colors provided by Pals Paper Arts Design Team were perfect for this baby boy card. I wanted to stay simple, so I stamped those teeny "cartoon" stars in Sahara Sand all around like a border on my Sahara Sand card base. Inside the border I placed a Banner Framelit in Marina Mist that I stamped with tiny "cartoon" hearts in Marina Mist ink.

On top of the first banner I placed another banner made of a 1-1/2" rectangle of Whisper White that was cut using the Banner Triple Punch. I used the sentiment "congratulations" and stamped it in Early Espresso ink. My Marina Mist birdie has Early Espresso feathers and tail, which I colored using my Blender Pen and an ink pool on the top of the ink pad. 

The baby onesie is stamped in Marina Mist ink onto Sahara Sand card stock and cut out using the Baby's First Framelits. I colored those stripes using the ink pool technique described above. Very masculine looking stripes, I think! The onesie is popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.
