Honey Bee Thanks for Being You!

Sentiment is from Free as a Bird Stamp Set

When one catalog year is ending and another begins, there is always a rush in my craft room to make room for the new! So I'm using up retiring and retired products at the same time I'm creating with new ones.

Today's card says goodbye to the Detailed Bees suite and the already retired Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series paper from the Sale-A-Bration season. I love how the dies perfectly cut out those gorgeous bees from the designer paper!

Thanks for looking today! Please use my Online Store to order any time. You can see what is on the Clearance Rack or the Last Chance Products list. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Where Are the Bees?

In using a stamp set called Honey Bee you would expect to see a bee or two on this card. I left the darling, buzzing insects off because of how hard they work. Why, you ask? Bee-cause this is a card to celebrate my sister's retirement! There will be a lot less business and buzzing in her life from now on! Cheers to her being able to retire at an age where she still has great health and lots of things undone that can now take up her time instead of working, working, working.

If you would like to earn this beautiful Golden Honey Specialty designer series paper for FREE, just place a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration and you can choose any Level 1 product from the brochure for free!!

Honey Bee Faux Shaker

Hello! Happy Friday. I made this card when I got inspired by Stesha Bloodhart over at Stampin' Hoot. Her card is below. She and other Artisan designers had a blog hop last Friday and I loved all of their ideas, especially this one. Even though the subject of the blog hop was shaker cards, this card only looks like one.

The watercolor layer sparkles with Metallics Sequins

I used watercolored background of Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Crushed Curry on watercolor paper. I framed it with two strips of striped paper from the Golden Honey Specialty Designer paper that I got *FREE* with my $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration (now through March 31st).

When I used the Detailed Bee Die Cuts to cut out that honeycomb shape, I popped up the watercolored panel using Stampin' Dimensionals, which created space between the card base and the watercolor paper. Inside those cut outs (some were left in intentionally) I placed some Iridescent Sequins. This part is what looks like a shaker card, but those sequins stay put and can always be seen.

Here is Stesha's card-my inspiration
I'm very glad you stopped by today! Please leave a comment so I know you were here.
