Honey Bee Faux Shaker

Hello! Happy Friday. I made this card when I got inspired by Stesha Bloodhart over at Stampin' Hoot. Her card is below. She and other Artisan designers had a blog hop last Friday and I loved all of their ideas, especially this one. Even though the subject of the blog hop was shaker cards, this card only looks like one.

The watercolor layer sparkles with Metallics Sequins

I used watercolored background of Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Crushed Curry on watercolor paper. I framed it with two strips of striped paper from the Golden Honey Specialty Designer paper that I got *FREE* with my $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration (now through March 31st).

When I used the Detailed Bee Die Cuts to cut out that honeycomb shape, I popped up the watercolored panel using Stampin' Dimensionals, which created space between the card base and the watercolor paper. Inside those cut outs (some were left in intentionally) I placed some Iridescent Sequins. This part is what looks like a shaker card, but those sequins stay put and can always be seen.

Here is Stesha's card-my inspiration
