Christmas Cards & Promotion Reminders

Here is the reason I haven't been blogging! I was making all of the hand made Christmas cards that I give out. It is not my entire card list, but those close friends and family that will appreciate my time and my talent!

My cards were made to go inside the envelope with a postcard photo, so the finished size is 8" x 3-1/2". Here are the dimensions for my card elements:

Vellum and Very Vanilla for Tree and Hymn: 2" x 3-1/2"
Crumb Cake Under Tree for Embossing Folder: 2-1/4" x 4-1/2"
Cherry Cobbler Card Base: 8" x 3-1/2" (you get three cards from one piece of 8-1/2" x 11" card stock)
Very Vanilla for sentiment: 2-1/2" x 1-1/2"

Other Card Supplies:
Star punch, Champagne Glimmer Paper, Cherry Cobbler Tulle, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, More Mustard and Always Artichoke Inks.

I hope you enjoyed looking! Don't forget to leave a comment.

Today is the last day to take advantage of the Ink-redible offer and getting an entire color collection of ink pads for purchasing your Starter Kit OR for hosting a $450 workshop! Details here.

So Saffron Wedding

My friend's son is getting married next month, so I am not wasting any time getting my card ready! Now all I need is a gift. This card was super simple to make, but I think it looks very special.

I made it square to fit Stampin' Up! square envies and I made the envelope flap match, although I didn't picture it here.

I used the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder to jazz up the middle part of the card and I attached my sentiment to it and tied a piece of seam tape in a bow.

Cards are quick to put together when you have your punches handy. A little tip that always gets me finished quickly is to have some sentiments already stamped onto neutral papers and then pop them out with a punch. Later you can add your borders in colors and put them together to frame your sentiment. Or, try making several in the same color schemes and have them laying on your desk top for a quick pop onto a plain card. I tell you that no matter how many cards you make, you sometimes don't have just the right sentiment when you need it.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: So Saffron, Whisper White, Shimmery White
Designer Series Paper: Patterns Pack
Stamps: Blissful Bride
Ink: So Saffron
Extras: Very Vanilla seam tape ribbon, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die, Big Shot

Sneak Preview and Mojo 153

So I'm a little late with the MOJO this week! Oh, but I had fun coming up with this card. I started with a basic idea in my head of butterflies instead of squares and then turned to the Color Coach again for my colors. The colors I saw were Concord Crush, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango.
I added the Pear Pizzazz all by me onesie!

If you will notice, this week's sketch is designed by my talented (and quite famous) upline and friend, Mary Fish from Stampin' Pretty. I hope you will check out her blog and see her creations. She really has a defined style and I love learning from her.

Here are the details of my card:
Card Stock: Concord Crush, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Perfect Punches, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Concord Crush
Punches: Scallop Square and Word Window
Fun Tools: Big Shot, Textured Impressions Vintage Wallpaper, Embosslits Beautiful Wings, Bigz Beautiful Butterflies, 1/8" Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon, Basic Rhinestones

Our Design Team is very diverse in style and we all use mostly Stampin' Up! products, since we are all demonstrators, but we always welcome you to use any products you wish to create your entries. Once a month we offer Blog Candy just for fun, too. Just upload your project photo with a link to your blog or online gallery.
