The Holiday Catalog is LIVE!!

Happy "Holiday Catalog Debut Day!!" Okay, I made that up, but when you have a catalog that is this dreamy, you want to make a holiday just so you can sit and enjoy each and every page. Honestly, this catalog is probably the best catalog to make me want it all that I've ever seen. Of course, I cannot have it all, but wanting it is fun. I've been making card samples and watching what others are doing during the preview month of August. It's fascinating! But by far, my favorite new item is the Hearth and Home Framelits. Paired with the Happy Scenes Photopolymer stamp set, you can't go wrong! So many possibilities. You can bundle the two items and save 15%!

Hearth and Home Framelits Bundle with Happy Scenes $34.75

This card is CASEd right out of the catalog, on page 11. The sentiment, outside scene beneath the window sheet on my card base are all in the Happy Scenes Stamp set. I let some Dazzling Diamonds naturally cling to my window sheet before adhering it right onto my colored scene. You can't really see how it sparkles like snow, sorry! The Candy Cane striped designer paper behind my window is from the Home For Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.

I'd love to hear what you are ordering today! Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Sneak Peek Hearth and Home Framelits

Happy Monday! I spent some time this weekend using some new items from the Holiday Catalog, which goes live on September 1st. Featured today is the new Home for the Holidays Framelits, which helps you create a window and a window box. I didn't use the window box, as my scene is from INSIDE the window. There is a bundle using the framelits with a stamp set called Happy Scenes and if you buy them together, you save 15%. I didn't use that set, I chose instead to use another stamp set called Wonderland. The trees and pine branches are from that set. My sentiment is from You're So Sweet.

Hearth and Home Framelits 139666 $20

Happy Scenes photopolymer 130821 $21

Or bundle the two and save 15% 140853 $34.75

My window is adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals for a 3-D effect.

Those Mossy Meadow dots are the new Home For Christmas Enamel Dots which are also from the Holiday Catalog.

Very Vanilla Thick Twine is available September 1, 2015 in the Holiday Catalog.

If you are wondering how I colored in my window scene, here is what I did. Using Mossy Meadow ink and the pines image from Wonderland,  I stamped onto Whisper White card stock. Some of the trees are "stamped off," a technique where you ink the stamp and then stamp onto a scrap piece of paper before stamping your card stock. Next, I used Sponge Daubers with Soft Sky and Soft Suede inks to make my ground and sky. I kept lightly daubing until I had the color I wanted.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are encouraged to make your own cards! Won't you leave me a comment? :-)

Sneak Preview of 2015 Holiday Catalog

I'm not normally a fan of starting Christmas before Thanksgiving, and certainly NOT in the summer, but when I received my preview items from the Holiday Catalog, which goes live in September, I just HAD to sit down and make a card. The idea to put one of the Home for Christmas Enamel Dots onto the new Reindeer Paper Clips came to me as soon as I had them side by side out of the box! I paired them with a simple sentiment from the versatile Cheer All Year stamp set and a print from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack for a fun, easy and quick card. My card base is my first use of the Heavy Whisper White Card Stock that Stampin' Up! began offering this summer.

I hope you enjoy my sample and that I haven't brought a chill to your summer! It's hot where I am, and today is definitely a pool day!
