Rose Wonder is Retiring

I cannot believe that Rose Wonder is retiring! I will be keeping my set because I use it very often. I love the Bible verse that is included, and in fact all of the sentiments! If I keep the stamp set, of course I will have to keep the Rose Garden Thinlits which die cut the rose image outline and the shape that goes so lovely around the sentiments. I just have to!

Here you can see that I only had to stamp one image and one sentiment for a lovely birthday card for someone special to me. I used Memento Black in and colored using my Stampin' Blends in Light and Dark Calypso Coral and Light and Dark Old Olive. The white paper is Stampin' Up's Shimmery White, which is easy to color or watercolor on and also adds some shimmer to the finished coloring. Simply mounted on a coordinating Calypso Coral card stock and you have a fabulous card that anyone would love to receive. Coloring is so relaxing for me. I made two of these cards in a row with different sentiments for different occasions.

Get your Rose Wonder stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlits before they retire on May 31st.

Hearts of Sympathy

Yesterday was a day to celebrate love, but I always remember that there are those that are hurting while others celebrate. A dear friend lost her daughter two days ago, so I made this card using the Sure Do Love You stamp set. I added my sentiment from the Rose Wonder stamp set.

A child's heart will always be intertwined with their parents no matter how far in distance, from this world all the way to eternity. I hope this card and the words I wrote inside will bring some comfort this week.

Happy Valentine's Day and Thank You

I Love, love LOVE the Sure Do Love You stamp set in the Occasions Catalog! I've used it so much already and it's not just for Valentine's Day! The above card is for my one and only Valentine. Simple, yet elegant.  I cut out the inside of the heart border using the coordinating Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.

I decided to use some Note Cards because I have so many they are sitting there so lonely.

Next up some thank you cards using the same stamp set, but a different sentiment from Rose Wonder. I added a simple Whisper White Sheer 1/8" Ribbon bow.

Thank you very much for looking today. I hope you have a very special day planned. If not, there is still time to do something simple to let your loved ones feel special!

Happy New Year!!

I fully enjoyed my family at Christmas and over New Year's, so I have been absent on the blog! But, I'm hoping to get back to creating this week.

Here is my "leftover" card from December. We were guests at a Tuesday evening wedding at a beautiful venue and there was a Christmas theme. I thought that the white on white card was perfect and that black would appropriately accent here and there on the card front.

Thank you for following my blog and I hope you are signed up to receive each and every notice of post. May 2018 be your best year yet!

Garden Thank You

After making this card, I listed the products that I used and saw that the word "garden" was in several of the products! So, I called this my Garden Thank You. It is for a customer who placed an order.

That lovely texture on the left side was made by using the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I ran the folder through the Big Shot with my Berry Burst card stock.

The beautiful rose was cut using the Rose Garden Thinlits. I ran it through my big shot using two colors: Berry Burst and Powder Pink. Then I laid the pieces upside down on my Silicone Craft Sheet, made sure they were all in the right places, and then used my Stampin' Dimensionals in all the right places (seams) and adhered it to my card.

On the right side of the front, there is a lovely print from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack. My sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set, and it is stamped in Berry Burst and die cut with one of the Rose Garden Thinlits.

I hope you enjoyed looking today! Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment- I really love seeing that I have some!

Oranges to Say "Thank You"

Here is the card I promised from yesterday. I CASEd this from Sandi MacIver. This oranges pattern from the same Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper once again is the focal point of a lovely card and lets you make many cards like this one!

Sandi ingeniously added a sentiment on vellum so you can still see every inch of the orange print. The print is cut 3"  wide by 3-3/4" long by 3" wide. The piece of Tranquil Tide card stock underneath the print is 4-1/4" long and 2-1/2" wide. The vellum strip with the white heat-embossed sentiment (from Rose Wonder stamp set) is  5" long by 3/4" wide. It is anchored by using two glue dots on the under side and two Gold Faceted Gems on top to conceal my glue dots.

Wedding Wishes--With or Without?

I made this card over the weekend for a wedding. It began as on the left, but then I had an idea to add the sheer ribbon on the right. Which do you like better? Let me know in the comments section. The wedding isn't for a few weeks, so I have time to decide!!

Here you can see a close up of the Copper Foil Sheet rose and the Copper Embossing on the Rose Wonder sentiment. I like how it looks against the Soft Sky card stock.

Thanks for looking. Don't hesitate to use my Online Store to place your order for Stampin' Up! products.

Scrappy Card

Today's card was born of a bunch of scraps sitting on my tabletop. You might recognize the sentiment from my last card. I sometimes do two just in case my card gets all messed up! The glimmer paper leaves are the other half of the rose from the same card. I added two layers of banners in the back, one that is vellum and dry embossed. A little bit of DSP for a matt and it's done!

Sketch by *me* for PPA316

Welcome to this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge, which I created! It's my turn to "host" the challenge and I hope you will play along. Simply create a card using my sketch as inspiration. Post it to the Pals site and you are "playing" along. Please check out all of the entries and see many different interpretations of the sketch. The sketch is just a starting point!

I love the Copper Embossing Powder. It shines so nicely on this Crumb Cake card base and die cut from the Rose Garden Thinlits. The rose in the background is cut from Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and makes a bold statement against the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series print.

Rose Garden Thank You

Today's card is a Thank You that I gave to one of my customers who placed an order this month. I love the font on the Rose Wonder stamp set. It is heaven to stamp using the Photopolymer stamps.

Rose Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set  14097  $27

Adding a little interest using the Rose Garden Thinlits is easy! Just choose a card stock color and crank it out. The sentiment is also die cut with a perfect framing shape to the Blushing Bride border. And I just love the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper. Fantastic colors and useful prints.

Happy Birthday By The Shore

By The Shore is the name of my Designer Series Paper. Looking at this card, you wouldn't think of a sea theme, though! That's what I was going for. I just wanted the color from the paper.

The rest of the card is focused on the Rose Wonder stamp set and the Flourish Thinlits. Those gorgeous flowers are so easily cut using the thinlits and the Big Shot.  A metal-rimmed pearl is the perfect accent to the flower center. The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink. I used the Mint Macaron Mini Striped ribbon like a banner under the frame.

Thanks for stopping by today! Let me know what you think of my card by leaving me a comment, please :-)

Butterfly Sympathy

I CASEd a card that Amy O'Neill made. I changed the colors and the sentiment stamp. Everything else was pretty much the same.  I really like how this turned out and it also reminded me to use Shimmery White card stock more often! It holds watercolor very nicely. I used Flirty Flamingo on this card.

I got my first chance to use the In Color Enamel Shapes. I thought the heart was appropriate for sympathy, but there are also stars and rounds.

Shimmery Thank You

This thank you card is shiny and special. I used a piece of wallpaper as the background. It's the favorite one that my interior designer/friend helped me pick out for my tiny half bath. I LOVE it!! The color is actually a coral or terra cotta color, but coordinates perfectly with the Stampin' Up! Crazy Cajun, which is my card base.

I tucked a Gold Shimmer card stock leaf cut from Rose Garden Thinlits into the Gold Stain ribbon tied in a knot. The sentiment is from Rose Wonder and I embossed it and cut it out using the same thinlits. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up off the card.

I hope you enjoyed looking today! Thank you for using my Online Store when you shop for Stampin' Up! When you shop my store, you support my stamp habit!!
