Painted Poppies Shaker

 

I have finally mastered shaker cards! After making a recent box of Paper Pumpkin Shaker cards, I now know the pattern for making one by heart!

 

Here I have created a simple circular one using a strip of card stock, a decorative stamp and a circle hole punch. Add some pieces of Foam Adhesive Strips around the punched hole and fill with sequins of any shape and color.

Creative Block Thank You

With lots of time on our hands lately, it doesn't mean that creativity just comes. At least for me. I have had a little bit of a creative block through all of these weeks at home. This card was actually made with the center piece taken off of a tag that someone else made for me.

I simply framed it with a stitched rectangle cut from designer series paper and then framed it again with a popped up embossed piece of paper. I then attached the whole lot to a card front. Boom. A card ready to mail.

It just goes to show you that being around our craft supplies can inspire us and help us create something that can bring others joy in their mail box. So keep crafting my friends and keep checking in with me, too!

Make and Take a Break

It's a busy time of year! I'm making Christmas cards, tags and kits for my Christmas Class, but I've also been sneaking some stamping with the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog items I was able to pre order after attending Stampin' Up's OnStage about 10 days ago. The lovely card above is a Poppy Parade card base and uses the brand new stamp sets Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments. And those new dazzling embellishments are called Peaceful Poppies Sequins. Note the new Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding, which we stamped on to give it some depth.

Another make and take from OnStage is this beauty which uses the stamp set Forever Blooms. The lovely floral stem was stamped using StazOn, then colored using Stampin' Blends. The beautiful ribbon is the new Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic Edge ribbon. Those little twinkles are the new Champagne Rhinestones.
