Old and New Hello

I got inspired by Connie Babbert to use the new Forever Fern stamp set and the coordinating Forever Flourishing Dies. I used retiring Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper as the necessary horizontal stripe for this design. The large sprig cut using the Forever Flourishing dies makes such a lovely statement in Basic Gray against the Petal Pink color.

Thanks for looking. I am playing with some new colors and products received a couple of days ago and I hope to post more fun cards soon.

Please use my Online Store to order any time. You can see what is on the Clearance Rack or the Last Chance Products list. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Magnolia Lane Cards and Envelopes

My small card on the front is matted with coordinating Soft Sea Foam card stock and then I used White 5/8" Flax ribbon and a piece of Linen Thread as an accent.

At my last workshop, I gave each person an envelope and card base from the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories and More Cards and Envelopes pack, their choice of one large and one small card from  Magnolia Lane Memories and More card pack and an assortment of ribbons that would coordinate with the suite. I hope you are looking forward to seeing these products when the new Annual Catalog goes live, June 4th.

We had a fun time making our own cards. Inside the card, we used a large card from the card pack for whatever you would write to the recipient. No stamping! Just fun deciding on layers and embellishments.

I'd love you to use my Online Store for your Stampin' Up! products. I send each of my customers a hand made card when they order.

Last Minute Mother's Day Card

Happy Mother's Day to you moms out there! Hubby and I prepared to go visit his aunt on Friday, whom we haven't seen for a number of years. I contemplated bringing her something, and then it occurred to me that she is a mom, so I should make her a card.

It was easy to put this card together because I had the water colored Magnolia image already colored and cut out, just sitting on my desk. I added it to one of the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories and More cards (with envelopes) on top of a card from the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Card Pack.

The Mother's Day sentiment is from Tea Together stamp set. My last bit of silver Mini Sequins is underneath my popped up stamped images. Then some retired Black Sequins for the center of the flower finished off this beauty. The card is larger than my usual cards, so I was able to tuck a 4"x 6" snapshot of my husband and me because she loves having photos of us.

Thank you for looking today! Please leave me a comment so I know you were here.

"More Than One Score" with the Pals' May Blog Hop

Welcome the Pals' May Blog Hop. We're so glad you're here because we made some great projects with "More Than One Score." You may be starting the shop here or coming from a previous Pal's blog. Either way, you've come to the right place. You'll find the full line-up below to help you move , or "hop" along from Pal to Pal.

I've settled in with my Magnolia Lane Suite (available June 4) and now I'm cooking! I decided to use this suite for this month's hop. I made a 3-D easel card.

I think there is more than one  way to make one, but I used the easy method. One piece of card stock measures 11" x 4-1/4" and is scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2". The portion that is largest is the "bottom" part of the card where my striped paper is. The other piece of card stock is where the flower is and it measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".

This lovely 3-D Magnolia-looking flower was made using the Magnolia Memories dies. I used several whole "blooms" of various sizes and several torn petals from the pieces cut from Whisper White card stock. I then used a bone folder to curl the petals upward. I colored the centers using Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends and added those die cut center pieces in Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight card stock. In the very center are some Gold Metallic Pearls.

Here you can see the detail on the "stop" that lets the card stand up like an easel. It's several layers of card stock that are adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a sticker from the Magnolia Lane Specialty Memories and More Card Pack and more Metallic Pearls. My sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.

The easy-to-tie ribbon is from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack available June 4th

Here is the card folded like it would go in an envelope. However, with the flower as the art portion, I will have to hand deliver this beautiful creation.

I thank you for looking today and hope you will leave me a comment and ask any questions that you might have. I will answer them if you have your email attached to your comment.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month's Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they've created! Don't forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 12, 2019 when our Hoppin' Pals share their "Anything with Wings" projects. Don't miss the fun!
