Blond or Brunette?

Those "waves" on the sides are made by punching at 1" intervals on the Envelope Punch Board. (Courtesy of Elizabeth Price)

Which mermaid do you like best? I'd love for you to take a few moments and leave me a comment! I love the coloring on the blonde's tail, but the hair is better on the brunette. What do you think?

It's not too late to order up some of this GORGEOUS Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the shiny patterns AND that you get FOUR each of THREE double-sided designs! Perfect for making multiples or one card OR for sharing with friends.

And don't forget that this lovely pink tinsel trim from the Love Mini Tinsel Trim Combo pack is only available from the Occasions catalog through May 31st, so order your retiring DSP and trim today! Use my Online Store any time.

Magical Mermaid Birthday

Yesterday I showed you another card using the Large Numbers Framelits and Number of Years stamp set. Both are retiring, but I'm keeping them in my stash. I'm obsessed with the Magical Mermaid stamp set and you will see another card I made using it tomorrow, so don't forget to come back!

My card base is white and then I used Crumb Cake for my sandy bottom and Mint Macaron for the water color. My mermaid has her lower body fussy cut from Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper, which has been retired for some time. I had a little piece of it in my stash :-)

I couldn't stop decorating this card, as the recipient is a girl and loves all things *sparkly*. Those are Metallic Hearts under the "5" and retired Chunky Silver Glitter "dots" that I made up around the mermaid's upper body. Her body also got a nice swish from my Clear Wink of Stella pen.

Please let me know if you liked my mermaid cards so far-- I love to read your comments.

Magical Mermaid Birthday

My background was inspired by Su Mohr, a stamping Pal of mine and the Magical Mermaid stamp set. I was not happy with how dark it started out, so I turned the stamped space into something a little different than her scene, then added the sentiment and ribbon much like her original design.

The rectangular frame of the stamped image was created by inking up my acrylic block and stamping it onto Shimmery White card stock.
