Back From Convention--Whew!

Hi Friends! I am back from Stampin' Up's 25th Anniversary Convention in Salt Lake City. All of Mary Fish's Stampin' Pretty Pals who attended had a blast!! We are all tired from staying up late and walking and sitting all day long! We ate together, laughed together and some of us even made cards together. We swapped, we waited in lines for almost everything and we grew our friendships in person! It was a fantastic experience!

We learned many new things in the form of product demonstrations, announcements and workshops to help our creativity or businesses.

Stampin' Up! took care of us in 25th Anniversary style, giving each attendee many prizes!

Here is a look at some of the fun we had at Convention:

One or more of the Stampin' Pretty Pals are part of this video! (not me :-)

2nd General Swap Card for Convention

Happy Saturday! This is my last post while I'm away. I hope you enjoy this card. I used only SCRAPS of the Birthday Basics paper that was leftover from the Pals Swap card! I made them work into another card. I added a sentiment from Chalk Talk, cut it out with the Chalk Talk Framelits and that is all I needed for a colorful celebratory card!

General Swap Supplies:
Card Stock: Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple
Designer Series Paper: Birthday Basics
Stamps: Chalk Talk
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Big Shot: Chalk Talk Framelits

As always, please use my Online Store to order your own Stampin' Up! any time!

I'm Off to Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 - Celebrating 25 Years!

Hello Friends! I'm off to convention two days early. I'm meeting up with some of Mary Fish's Stampin' Pretty Pals because I'm a member of the Pals! I met Mary and some Pals in the past, but this week I'll be surrounded by dozens and dozens of Stampin' Pretty Pals! I'm so excited for my first convention!

I have my card swaps for our private Pals swap all packed up. I have general swaps for anyone I may meet. I also made these business card holders!

I love how these turned out! You could tuck a lot of different items into a folder like this and you could decorate it so many ways! Size it to fit whatever you are trying to dress up and give out.

Here is my recipe:

8" x 3, 3-1/4 or 3-1/2" piece of designer paper. (I used various sizes just trying out the idea).

With the length of the paper horizontal, score at 2-5/8", then flip it around again and score at 2-5/8".

I folded the left side in and cut randomly on the diagonal, leaving a piece that I could tuck a card into. I used Sticky Strip across the bottom of the pocket.

The front sentiment is from Six Sided Sampler. I popped it out using the small scallop circle and then matted it with the next-sized scallop circle punch. I popped the whole thing up on Stampin Dimensionals and then placed it over an 8-1/2" length of Stretch Ruffle trim. I like this stretchy ribbon because when you just tie it once (not in a knot) it sort of catches on itself and it stays put! I tied some of them with the ruffle up, some with it down--it looks great either way!

I can't wait to hand these out to other Demonstrators or any of the other travelers who are wondering--who are all these paper-loving people heading to Salt Lake City?! It's time to let our paper-love shine!

Be sure and check in tomorrow when I share one of my General Swap cards!
