PPA296 Success Looks Good On You!!

This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge card began with some scraps laying on my desk. I could not move on to another card with a messy desk, so I decided to use them for the challenge. This made the card come together much faster, so never discount your paper scraps!

I like how the patterns in the Bohemian DSP are so rich that they look like textures! The Boho Chic TIEF provides some real texture on the Bermuda Bay background. This is a card you could send to encourage anyone with a little or a lot of success in their life. I love to send those encouragements often!

Always Kind...

 Today's card is square! I hardly ever make square cards. I made it 5" x 5", so I also made a custom envelope using my Envelope Punch Board and the new In Color Envelope Designer Paper from the Annual Catalog. It's easy to fold once you have scored and cut it on the punch board. You can choose which side of the paper will be inside and which will be outside.

 

 My sentiment comes from the stamp set "Me=Grateful." I just received it this week and couldn't wait to use it! I chose this sentiment so I could use my Stampin' Write Markers to color in those wonderful letters. (I think next time I would have used Rich Razzleberry rather than Blackberry Bliss on the word 'kind'). The colors match the Bohemian Designer Series Paper just under the Tags and Labels Framelit in Whisper White. 

Between my Delightful Dijon card base and the Bohemian print is a Rich Razzleberry piece of card stock that I embossed using the new Boho Chic Textured Embossing Folder.

New Items Previewed...

I'm so happy to have had the chance to play with preview items from the upcoming catalog. I'm just going to let this card do the talking...for the most part!

Let me just say that I LOVE the new In Colors (not seen here) and the two punches I got, which are the Banner Triple Punch (used for all three banners) and the new Tree Builder Punch (bird and tree). The banners were SO quick to make and the Tree Builder is much more than for making trees! You'll see soon enough. I would say that those two items are my favs so far, but we couldn't order from the whole catalog yet! The new Bohemian Designer Series Paper is so darn colorful!! The patterns are amazing and so fashionable.

Then there's the Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder--YUM.

The sentiment is from the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp for 2015-2016 called Sprinkles of Life. It's so darn cute! This is just one teeny peek at what it can do!
