Baby Wear - Fourth of July

I'm on my way to meet my granddaughter today! I made this for her first 4th of July. This onesie has stripes of mini-rick rack fabric-glued onto the front. Then I added a bow and a knot in blue and white gingham ribbon. I got the idea from Pinterest. 

The tag is a Chalk Talk Framelit that I stamped using the retired Beyond Plaid stamp set. I simply used a Real Red marker to highlight every other stripe on one of the patterned stamps. I added a blue star image from another retired stamp set and then tied the tag with a Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine bow. Washing instructions were written on the back of the tag.

Happy Father's Day Mix

Happy Monday. I was late getting my Father's Day card ideas, but they are now in the mail! I used a combination of New and Retired Stampin' Up products to complete my card. 

I think the centerpiece of the card is this bow tie, created from the new Smoky Slate Chevron ribbon. It's luscious! I folded the ends of a 5" strip to the center and used glue dots to hold the ends down. Then I wrapped a piece of Basic Gray stitched ribbon around the middle (after taking one stitch with needle and thread to gather it). Done! 

"Happy", "Father's" and "Day" were each inked separately to read vertically rather than horizontally. The stamp is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped in Basic Gray. The frame for the sentiment is the New Label Love stamp set and stamped in Smoky Slate ink onto Smoky Slate card stock.  The background for my sentiment and bow tie is from the Retired Beyond Plaid stamp set. This set wasn't around long enough! I bought it specifically with Father's Day in mind, but then it retired :-(  I will be keeping it long enough to get some good use out of it! I stamped it in Smoky Slate onto Whisper White for the perfect frame.

I got so behind on card-making! I have been extra busy and then all of the things going on with a new Catalog Preview and Retiring items--whew! Thanks for visiting today! Here is a trio of cards that I whipped up lickity split!

I used the Beyond Plaid Stamp set, which actually has FOUR patterns, but I only used two on these cards. I stamped each, then trimmed around the rectangle, popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals, embellished with a matching Dahlia. My sentiment comes from Curly Cute.
