Easter Favors

I used the Sending Love Glassine Sheets from the Occasions Catalog to create these bags using Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.

My little banners were cut out of designer paper scraps using the Banners Framelits. Here's to Cheers stamp set was perfect for my "Egg-Stra Awesome Easter Wishes" sentiment. I used Stampin' Write Markers to make my own ombre right on the stamp itself. Then I cut out around the sentiment using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  (added between catalogs)

Shiny Copper Note

I love the Copper Foil Sheets when used with these beautiful Paisley Framelits. They look like jewelry! TIP: I used a sheet of wax paper on top of the foil sheet when cutting. It makes it so much easier to remove the Foil Sheet from the Thinly  I also pre-cut the Foil Sheet so as not to mark up the whole sheet when running it through the Big Shot.

Pairing my copper embossed sentiment and leaf motifs with this beautiful print from the Petals and Paisleys Specialty DSP makes for a shiny and gorgeous card.

Thank you for looking today! I hope you will use my Online Store for any orders you may have for your own creations!

September Pals Blog Hop--My Favorite Season

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects represent our favorite year end Season. It may be Autumn, Winter, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas (and maybe even a combination!) We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. We gather up as many loved ones as possible and just enjoy being together.  We celebrate our Lord's birth. We overlook our differences and laugh with each other. We make memories! We eat too much ;-)  What could be better?!

This little miss from the Wonder of Christmas stamp set was heat embossed with Copper powder and her hair, face, hands and shoes were colored in using a blender pen and ink pools on the lids of the ink pads. I stamped her banner again onto Crumb Cake card stock and snipped it out, then overlayed it onto the banner. Another teeny banner has the rest of the sentiment, also from Wonder of Christmas, was heat-embossed in Copper powder onto Real Red card stock. I added a small stripe of more Candy Cane Lane designer paper (coordinates with the other print/same paper pack that I used as a matt). There's a piece of a Delicate White Doily peeking from the left side--I found it leftover on my desk.

I'm so glad you stopped by today! I'd love to read your comments and invite you to subscribe to my blog if you don't already. I post as often as I get to create, so don't miss a post!

Use my Online Store any time you need Stampin' Up! supplies.

To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Swimmingly

This is a fun card and can be used for any age. I love the colors in the By the Shore designer series paper. It helps me put together a quick card.

You can't really tell, but I used Wink of Stella (clear) over the fish fins. It sparkles in person so nicely. I love how the Mint Macaron Sheer Linen ribbon ties in a bow or knot so easily.

I hope you like looking at my card today. Please consider signing up to receive my blog updates by email so you won't miss a post.

Use my Online Store to order your Stampin' Up! any time. Remember in July, for every $50 in products you order, you receive a $5 coupon by email to use in August. There is no limit to how many coupons you can earn!

Purple Pumpkin for PPA270

This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge is a lovely trio of colors! I couldn't help singing "Purple People Eater" as I uploaded these photos!! Remember that song from the 50's or 60's? Actually, my mom had the '45 and I used to play it, so it's not really from my generation. Don't want to admit I'm THAT old! Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking. Please leave a comment. I love to read them all. Below is a closer look:

I added a little bit of sparkle with the Gold Sequin Trim. I couldn't help it! The difference was striking, so I decided to be creative and let it stay! Remember, the colors are just a place to start--let yourself create from there!

Please use my Online Store to order your stamping products!

Hello Baby!

Hello Baby! I love celebrating babies! Here is a card for a baby boy which will be accompanied by a rag quilt that I'm making. The stamp set Something For Baby and it's accompanying Baby's First Framelits make it a snap to put together a cute outfit on the front of a card! I didn't even use all of the many elements included in the framelits set.

The paper I used is from the upcoming Annual Catalog (debuts June 2nd!) and is called Cherry On Top Designer Series Stack. This is stack of 6" x 6" paper, so large enough to use in scrapbooking, card making or envelope liners and gift wrap. I'm so glad that the stacks are coming in this size!

Occasions Catalog Valentine Preview

Today I have a "card front" to share with you. "What is a card front?," you ask. It's just the front of the card--no fold--no place to put an inside greeting. "What is the purpose of a card front?" It's generally done for a card swap. I made 9 of these, sent them off to the swap coordinator, and I will receive 8 card fronts back. All of the card fronts are designed and made by Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. We are seeking new ideas for all of the new stamps, papers and embellishments from the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure which goes live January 6th. There are swaps out there for non-demonstrators as well, so swap away and see new designs, get ideas and start creating!

My upper left and bottom right panels were made using my Big Shot and the new Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Available in the Occasions Catalog Jan 6th). To get the color, I used my Blushing Bride-inked brayer to "color" one side of the folder. Next, I put my Whisper White card stock in and ran it through. I cut the card stock into pieces to use on the card. I added the banner stamped using One Tag Fits All (Occasions Catalog) and fussy-cut it out.

Over the bottom panel, I stamped the sentiment from One Tag Fits All (Occasions Catalog-Jan 6th) and accented it with a Blushing Bride Candy Dot.
My other two panels were cut from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack. (Occasions Catalog-Jan 6th).

I hope you are inspired when you visit my blog. Please let me know if you have any questions about my projects or about Stampin' Up! products. I'd be happy to answer your questions concerning trying out the Stampin' Up! starter kit, as well. I welcome Hobby or Business Demonstrators into my group.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you will leave a comment below. I appreciate your time and your kind comments!

Awesome Thanks For An Awesome Customer

This card is for one of my customers who ordered last month during the Big Shot promotion. She took advantage of the special where she received a free stamp set and framelits bundle. I'm so excited for her! I made this card, which began from scoring my Whisper White card stock in the "wrong" place. Now, I have done this before but I didn't learn!

My card base measured 4-1/4" x 11". I scored it at 4-1/4" and 8-1/2". I folded and had my card base. Next I covered the left front panel with a piece of Flowerpot Designer Series Paper cut 2-1/4" x 4". The right front panel got another print cut 4" x 4".

My center panel is a 3" square piece of Tangerine Tango card stock covered with a third print cut 2-7/8" square. On top of that is my Whisper White banner. It has a sentiment from Yippee-Skippee stamp set. I used Tangerine Tango and Night of Navy Stampin' Write Markers to color the letters.

Here is the card open and ready for my personalization.

The final touches on my card were a rose cut from a 4th print in the Flowerpot pack. I adhered it using Stampin' Dimensionals. I tied my card closed with a bow using Lost Lagoon Satin Stitched Ribbon. I made my envelope from another Flowerpot print using the measurements for a 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" on my Envelope Punch Board.

It sounds exhausting writing it all out here, but honestly, just using one pack of paper for all of my prints made it SO easy to finish this lovely card. I'm sure my customer will appreciate it!

Won't you leave me a comment below? I love to read them, they always make me smile!

PPA Color Challenge: Honey Crumb Berry

I knew I wanted lots of layers when I saw this color combination. I decided to keep it on the lighter side using Crumb Cake as my card base and stamping Blackberry Bliss splotches from Gorgeous Grunge for a little bit of interest. I added a neutral Very Vanilla matt for stamping my Gorgeous Grunge elements in Hello Honey.

Next, I stamped a bunch of the banner, heart and dots/stripes elements in all three of the challenge colors onto Very Vanilla card stock. I played with them until I was happy with which colors to use. My heart is cut out using the Snowflake Card Thinlit die. "Hello" was cut out using the Banners Framelits. I decided to add Naturals Chevron vertically and a piece of Venetian Crochet Trim horizontally. To finish my grunge vs. antique look, I added a single Basic Pearl to my heart.

What do you think? How will YOU answer the challenge? Please play along! I'd love to read your comments!

Sending Good Thoughts in Black and White

Hello friends! When in a pinch, make a Clean and Simple card! I covered my entire 4-1/4" x  5-1/2" card front with the feather print from Back To Black Designer Series Paper. Next, I adhered a scrap piece of a second print (same DSP) across the entire front.

I stamped my sentiment from Perfect Pennants onto Whisper White using Basic Black ink. Perfectly cutting it out was easy using the Banners Framelits and my Big Shot. I added a piece of 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon tied horizontally into a knot across the top of the second DSP print. Done.

I hope you enjoyed looking today! Don't forget to come back tomorrow for my fun and colorful Pals Paper Arts Challenge card! I hope it will inspire you to play along!

10 Days? Oh, Happy Day!!

Vacation and this sweet face are the reasons I have been absent for 10 days!! Our puppy has been with us about 8 weeks and in that time we've taken three trips. So, when we got back from the last trip, I really had to slow down and take some quality time (ALL the time!) to be with her, train her and make her part of our daily life. Her name is Winnie and she is a Sheltie. This is the photo that captured our hearts! She is much bigger now and a very mellow puppy, but she still needs constant watching in the house. I'm having a time of training her!

Consequently, I don't spend a lot of time in my carpeted craft room. She does have her own bed in there, but I can only guess when she is worn out enough for me to have a few moments in there while she sleeps.

I CASEd this card and I'm so sorry that I don't know whose original card I was inspired by. I mostly changed the color scheme and the "celebrate" element. It did take quite a few tries to put it together, but it isn't hard at all. I LOVE these colors!!

I'd love to know what you think! Please leave a comment below.

There are many things going on in the Stampin' Up! world, like a Big Shot and Bundles Special (get a free set of Framelits when you purchase a Big Shot thru August 31st)...

...and all of the Blendabilities color sets are available for purchase!  Also, Demonstrators are able to pre-order from the soon-to-be released Holiday Catalog! There are so many great things in the catalog that I'm overwhelmed. I'm still trying to choose what I want to preview. Stay tuned! I hope to bring you an assortment of cards that other people have sent me, plus there will be a new Pals Paper Arts Challenge this week, too! Lots for you to come back for! Thanks for your patience!!

Happy Birthday, Star!

This star-shaped card is directly from the 2014-2015 Idea Book & Catalog. You can find it on page 135 in the upper right corner. Sometimes I an stuck for ideas, so I will look through my catalog. There is always something that I have all of the supplies for, or can adapt to the supplies I do have on hand.

Here is a close up so you can see the elements it takes to put this card together. The star card base is a folded piece of Hello Honey card stock and I used the largest Stars Framelit to cut it out. The next smaller-sized star framelit was used for the Hello Honey Designer Series Paper Stack print. I used another star to make it into a frame. I scored from the inside edge of the star to the tips for folding into a 3-D effect. Then another star was cut out of Gold Glimmer paper to shine inside the frame. My final star was cut from Gold Glimmer paper using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch. My banners with the sentiment are cut from the smallest Banners Framelit.

I hope you enjoyed looking! I would love to read your comments!
