Anniversary Scene

Today I used more scraps from my worktop to create this scene. I didn’t know what the sentiment would be when I began. My card base is 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” cut from Basic Beige card stock.

I had the boat die cut sitting there for a few weeks. Then I cut out a lot of strips from the Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper for a Workshop and I had leftover 3-1/2” x 1-1/4” strips.

I pieced the strips together on a Basic Black border and then realized that the leftover boat die cut fit perfectly over the strips and border. I placed the boat die on Stampin’ Dimensionals over the panel.

I placed that at the bottom of the card front and thought I would put some Gorgeous Grape clouds up top. The die cut cloud was cut from another scrap using the Sunset Coast dies, and I stamped two clouds from the Sunset Coast stamp set before adhering it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added the sentiment from the Sunset Coast stamp set and cut around it using my Paper Trimmer. I added some die cut birds and a die cut Crushed Curry sun over the water, adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I gave the sun some sparkle using the new Golden Glow Shimmer Brush. Too bad you can’t see the shine in my photos.

For the inside, another leftover vertical strip decorates the left side of the panel. This card could easily be a Birthday, Congratulations or Father's Day card.

I hope you enjoyed looking today! Please leave a comment so I know you were here. Have a wonderful week!
