Christmas Tags--Simple and Shaker

SOMEtimes when I receive a new box of Stampin' Up! products, I have a chance to dive right in. The other day, I did just that by making these two tags right off the bat.

This shaker tag was made by using two layers of Whisper White cut out using the Labels Collection Framelits and my Big Shot. I stamped "to" and "from" on the front. In the middle of this top layer, I cut out the tree using the Snowflake Card Thinlit. I laid that (top) piece face down and adhered a small piece of Window Sheet onto it over the tree opening. I adhered some pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals all around the edge of the tree and on "top" of the window sheet.

I added the teeny stars punched from Brushed Silver card stock using my new Confetti Stars Punch.  I placed the backing over the front by standing over my work surface to make sure it was even. When I turned over my tag, there were stars "floating" in the tree!

I added a Daffodil Delight star punched from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and then made it sparkle with a single Basic Rhinestone. I punched a hole with my Crop-a-dile and used Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine for the tie.

My second tag was much simpler! I stamped the background from Cheerful Tags onto Crumb Cake card stock using Cherry Cobbler Ink. Then I stamped "MERRY" from the same set three times (I didn't use the Stamp-a-ma-jig!) in a row. I added the word "Christmas" in my own cursive. (I could have used another stamp, but I was comfy sitting at my desk :-) I added three rhinestones for shine. I hand-snipped my tag because I didn't yet have the Note Tag Punch. I added a hole using my Crop-A-Dile and then another piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. Two tags are now waiting for Christmas presents!

Thanks for looking today. I hope you come back soon. Did you know you can sign up to receive an email each time I post? You won't miss a thing! See my right side bar. I always appreciate your comments!
