Oh Happy Birthday!

This card is for a young man turning thirteen. I wanted it simple, but sort of grown up. I began by choosing my color palette. The Woodgrain Embossing Folder Basic Gray is matted by the Whisper White card base. Then, I stamped Oh, Happy Day in Cherry Cobbler from the Starburst Sayings set, die cut it using the matching Starburst Framelits, then matted it using a larger Crushed Curry Starburst. Before adhering the Starbursts onto the right front of the card, I tied a Cherry Cobbler Chevron ribbon in a knot, which also looks like a bow tie. I love when cards come together so quickly and make such a bold statement. Inside the card, I used two sentiments from Something to Say for my birthday wishes.

I am glad you stopped by today! I love reading your comments, so please keep them coming!

Love the background and the bow reminds me of a bow tie. Very cool!
