PPA199 Color Challenge--So Calypso Pear

Welcome to this week's Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge! It's #199. That means next week's #200 is very special, so I hope you will join us then. But don't forget to play along this week, too!!

The mini-square card has two Sizzlits Floral Fusion stacked flowers with Basic Pearl centers. The "S" is cut from Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die.

My entry actually started with this 2" x 2" x 2" box. I created it to put those EOS Lip Balms into for gifts. The box was hard for me to engineer, as I'm not any sort of engineer, but I got it done with just a small pile of card stock pieces!!

You can see my Sharpie-colored Large Basic Pearl in the middle, but it's sort of dwarfed by the fantastic Spiral Flower that I made using So Saffron Designer Series Paper (from the stack) and the Big Shot.

After rolling my flower, I sort of smashed it, then bent the petals back and glued the bottom edges to the last large circle of the die cut. The "leaves" (Fancy Flower Punch) is more Wild Wasabi because I guess I was out of Pear Pizzazz paper in that stack. In retrospect, I think I would have made the leaves a piece of Pear Pizzazz Chevron ribbon, but I didn't think of that in time.

Both of your projects are great! I totally don't use my sizzlits enough! Oh, and I haven't made a 3x3 card in a while - that can be a real fun size to work with - it's amazing how much you can pack onto such a small space! Looking forward to seeing your PPA #200 design!
