"Almost" One Layer Valentine

I generally have a hard time making a one-layer card. I challenged myself to create one for my last workshop. What do you think?

I placed half a doily onto the top portion of my Pink Pirouette card base. Then I added three "banners." The first two are stamped in Real Red and Melon Mambo from the Perfect Pennants stamp set. I die cut them using the Banner Framelits. The last "banner" is really a tag from the That's the Ticket stamp set. It is stamped in Real Red and punched with the Ticket Punch.

Before die-cutting or punching my banners, I used my VersaMark pen to lightly go over the stamped surface. I sprinkled on some Dazzling Details and then heat set the sparkles with my heat gun. I love sparkles! The banners were added to my card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Lastly, I added two of the stamped images from the Perfect Pennants in Melon Mambo and Real Red.

What do you think? This card would be easy to mail because it doesn't take extra postage. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I struggle with one layer cards too! This is sweet.....Valentines and doilies are like peanut butter and jelly.....a great combo!
